This is the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon! Ever..:.. I came in for a medi/pedi and left out with only a pedicure only because the owner Vivian refused to do my nails due to the "fact" that I had to pay before hand. This is the first time I heard of ANY nail salon saying that I had to pay first! Vivian says that it is a rule that "if you spend over $20 you have to pay first" in those exact words! So if that was the case..... pedicures there are $25... so why didn't she(Vivian) ask me to pay for my pedicure before hand ?? Anyways as I was still sitting in the chair I called my mother who had her nails done there before and asked her if she has ever had to pay before getting her nails done and of course she said NO. What is so different about me that I have to pay beforehand in order to get my nails done? Hmmm Another this is before I called my mother I asked her the total and she tells me $105.. $25 for the pedicure and for my nails $75.... So how the heck does that even add up to $105?? She(Vivian) is money greedy apparently trying to over charge me like I wouldn't notice. At this point I left, I paid for my pedicure and left because It's the principle of it all. Of course I'm not upset about the price of the nails I'm just upset that out of all people Why am I the one that had to pay beforehand? Also Vivian removed my old acrylic nails off my real nails in order to put new ones on and Instead of soaking my nails in solution to make them softer she uses nail clippers and tweezer to try to rip it off which caused minor irritation as she was doing that. It may not be much to look at, but the main reason for me giving 4 stars is their prices and quality service. They may not be glamorous, but overall they appear to be clean and they always do a very good job on pedicures, manicures, acrylics, designs and waxing. The owner is there every time I go and if you're a 'regular,' she has numerous times given me free nail fixes if something happens in between refills (Which for me happens often. Damn my nail biting). And this is even for the white and pink powder nails. She certainly never has to do anything for free, so I feel that she goes above and beyond to make her customers happy. I've always been very happy with my pedis, manis and eyebrow waxes. And I never feel like I'm spending an arm and a leg. For example, an eyebrow wax is only $6. Today I got both a regular pedi and a full set of french nails with both white and pink powder all for only $46. They usually take about 5-6 people at a time on the weekends, and about 4-5 people at a time during the week. They do both appointments and walk-ins. Give them a chance and you might be nicely surprised. Highly recommended. read more

Everyone is very friendly and always make you feel like you are a friend rather than just a client. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting inside of the salon. for the last year or so I've kept telling myself that I need to find another nail salon to go to but always end up here because it's across the street from my house. Today is the last day that I will be giving this salon any of my money. When I get manicures and pedicures I have to ask them to put soap into the water. So today I noticed that the person next to me also had clear water so I asked the salon owner was it a standard practice to not put soap in the pedicure water. She said yes it is a standard practice and then she walked off. Then she turned back to say it's because some people have allergies and if I want some that I can request it. Huh? Okay, whatever. The last time I mentioned that the girl didn't put soap in my manicure water she said that she must have forgotten. Moving along this pedicure, the tech proceeded to put the scrub on my leg and didn't ask about an allergy...so yeah they can keep this inconsistent service. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone! I came to "Vivian nail" this past weekend when I was looking for a place close to my boyfriends house. This is a cheap nail place where the polishes are old, crusty, and need to be replaced. My mother got a regular mani/pedi and her lady actually did a good job on her feet and you could tell she put work into it. Too bad here manicure didn't last more than a day without chipping on both hands. My shellac seems ok so far. It's not as close to the base as I normally receive at other places and she "forgot" to add a design on my ring fingers. But I'm really upset about my pedicure. The lady was speeding through it and barely touched my heels. I'm paying good money for a service, don't jerk me around and waste my time. Not to mention the polish didn't last more than a day. I already have 2 chipped toe nails! Bottom line is.......their polish is crap and the lady who did my feet was lazy. If I was being rough on my feet I would know it was my fault. The ladies are super nice and attentive. :) My gel manicures have lasted the longest from any salon I've been to, and don't get caught when I run my hands through my hair like the shellac tends to once it starts coming up near the cuticles. Service was great they did wonders on my feet what I didnt like was that I felt forced to give a tip at time of payment. I tried this nail salon as I live close by. Asked for a Selac pedicure. My Technician rushed the entire time, talked to the other Technicians, was on the phone handling personal business and even walked outside after my first application of color. The water was cold when I put my feet it, they wrap the bowl in plastic wrap to keep it clean between pedicures and she used a foam barrier to keep the Selac machine from falling into the bowl. I left no tip and will not go back. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I feel indifferent about this place. It's meh... The owner of the place was waaaay too pushy. She kept on asking me if I wanted to get a pedi... I had to like spell it out for her to stop asking, I was there for an acrylic manicure and that was it, I would like to enjoy my $32.00 bucks and not have someone on my ear constantly bothering me... LEAVE ME ALONE. The acrylic manicure it's self was okay. It doesn't look too good to me. It looks like I could have done it, just super glued cheaply made nails on my nails. First things first, the prices and level of service you receive is impeccable! For $30 you can get a spa style mani pedi. But it isn't just the prices that keep me coming back. (I've been going to Vivian's nails for years.) Tina, one of the nail technicians is not only a sweetheart but a miracle worker. I normally get pedicures twice a month if not more frequent do to the fact that I am prone to ingrowns from wearing heels and closed toed shoes in the office. Her attention to detail, and ability to make me feel completely comfortable and relaxed is why I come back. Every tech there is great at what they do, I've been to every one there for both manis and pedis but Tina definitely has the magic touch. The only reason at all I don't give it 5 stars is because they're acrylic work isn't all that great, the owner is as far as I know the only one who does it and their prices for acrylic nails aren't worth the service unfortunately. If you're looking for a small, CLEAN place to relax go to Vivian's. Cuticle work, foot scrub, massage and massaging chairs all for $19 you can't beat it. Also, they're great at brow waxes! read more

Got a gel manicure and I was really hoping I won't have to worry about my nails chipping or the color peeling. It hasn't even been 5 days and the polish is lifting off my nails and chipping in the front. Will never get a gel manicure here again. The gel color actually seemed to be old and I asked them of the color was supposed to be so thick and hard to apply. She said yes that it was thick because of the shimmer. These ladies do a nice job but the owner has horrible customer service she is very rude and unprofessional. I always get shellack nails and last time I went I decided that I didn't want them this time to try something different. She got really upset and asked about 5 times if I wanted the shellack and I said no not this time and then she would not even look at me the whole time I was there. Well last night I tried this salon again and I was really enjoying my deluxe pedicure and regular manicure when one of the girls asked if I would like a like a deluxe manicure too. I said no thank you I am okay , she then asked again and I said no then 10 minutes later she came out with all the items for the deluxe manicure and went ahead and gave me one anyways. When it came time to pay I was shocked by the price and I told the owner I told her I did not want the deluxe manicure and she did it anyways but I will pay for it since she here all the product so I did. She did not allow me to put a tip on the card or I tried to give some cash and she got upset with me I wanted to give my cash to the girl who did a great job on my pedicure . As soon as she ran my card she turned her back and wouldn't speak to me at all she didn't even say thank you. I will NEVER go back to this location ever again.
