Unfortunately she didn't win, but she should have! We live in CA and got married in CT, where my husband is from. We could not do an in-person tasting, so Ana had our cake samples overnighted to us in California. We did all of our communication via email. I was able to tell her exactly what I wanted without ever meeting her in person, and she was able to translate it absolutely perfectly into the cake of our dreams. She even developed a recipe for both the cake and the buttercream because the flavors we wanted were not offered at the time of our wedding. We had a fairly limited budget for the cake (700 or so for 100 guests) but the cake looked like it cost thousands of dollars, and was as delicious on the inside as it was beautiful. The sugar flowers looked real, and we even tried the fondant, which was delicious, even though everyone says its for decoration only. Planning a wedding from 4000 miles away is stressful enough- it was so nice to have a vendor who truly took the time to listen to what we wanted and help us come up with something absolutely perfect for our wedding. I would absolutely recommend Ana and her entire staff, and am honored to have had one of her creations as the centerpiece of my wedding.

If you want to try things you really need to go there early, as they often sell out by 11 or 12. The shop itself is adorable and the pastries are gorgeous. One of my all time favorite items is a Kouign-amann and they do these really really well. If you haven't tried one it's like a buttery croissant kinda dough with sugar that caramelized when it's baked. It's a rich decadent item that's a must try if you go here.

I found their offerings interesting and inventive but I wasn't blown away. I like that the pastries are properly baked so they are darker and more crisp than most places. The guava one was good, but very messy as there were square, white chunks of filling mixed with the guava preserves so they were loose and fell out when I bit into it. The Cinnabon style bun was completely cooked through, which I appreciate since the actual Cinnabons tend to be doughy inside. These ones are glazed with a bit of icing instead of cream cheese frosting; I enjoyed it, but I would have liked a little more. The chocolate croissant was generously filled with a good, dark chocolate, just the right amount, just loose enough to coat the inside. I didn't taste any orange in the orange poppy muffin and I'm not a fan of strusel topping on a muffin, as I like muffin tops. All in all not bad, I will give it another try if next time I have a weekend day off.

I picked up an assortment of Danish pastries to share, and they were a hit. Everyone loved them, which made gift-giving easy and stress-free. It's always nice finding something that feels thoughtful and is appreciated by so many people. Of course, I couldn't leave without picking up a few treats for myself. I brought home the chocolate hazelnut and coconut ice cream flavors, and both were absolutely delicious. The chocolate hazelnut was rich and creamy, while the coconut had a refreshing flavor that was perfect for a warm day. I also purchased two breakfast pastries. One was a raspberry-flavored pastry that I really enjoyed. The other was supposed to be filled with vanilla, but the filling tasted different than I expected. It wasn't my favorite item, but with so many options available, that's bound to happen sometimes. The selection was impressive, everything looked fresh, and there was something for every sweet tooth. Whether you're stopping in for dessert, breakfast pastries, ice cream, or gifts for a special occasion, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I'll definitely be back to try more flavors and discover a few new favorites.

It's very rare to find a place that does this. I was excitedand ordered two grinders. One was the Lucky Luciano and the other was the Sicilian. The. Lucky Luciano is a vegetable base with provolone cheese. It was thinly sliced provolone cheese, two slices on the entire grinder. Unfortunately, due to the marinated mushrooms and marinated eggplant. The bread was pretty soaked. I think if they used more cheese as a barrier, this sandwich could've been better. The Sicilian is basically an eggplant Parmesan. I did not care for this in Parmesan however it is edible. The eggplant was sliced, extremely thin that you could barely taste it. Instead of using melted mozzarella, there was one hunk of fresh mozzarella on the sandwich. I did feel that the prices were pretty expensive however, I probably would try the vegetable sandwich again if I eat it in person and ask them to put extra provolone around the bread . A lot of the reviews people love it here so I might try some other sandwiches however I don't eat meat so these were the two sandwiches I was interested in.
