This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. My favorite dish was the fried chicken. The last I went in there about 1230 and it was awful. The chicken was cold and flavorless. I tried this place again a week later but this time I ordered the chicken fried chicken. What I was served was an over grown chicken mcnugget. I love this place. It is very clean and comfortable with an inviting atmosphere. The menu is expansive and has something for everyone which is awesome because my son is a super picky eater. The prices are amazing and the portions are large. The food is excellent quality. Everything we have ever ordered here has tasted amazing. Service is fast and employees are friendly and helpful. The owner is active in running the restaurant. He walks around ensuring things are in order, food looks good, everything is clean, and customers are happy. This place is old and needs an interior update. I usually order via drive-thru. The chicken nuggets are fresh and they beat any fast food joint. The ckn fried steak is good too, but they slather the gravy. My kids love okra so it's always a hit. We recently tried the fried shrimp it was not good. It tasted freezer burned or spoiled, we couldn't eat it. All meals come with warm dinner rolls, they're worth the trip. The cinnamon rolls are delish. I don't go often because when I do I am disappointed. But then I tell myself to give them another chance and again they fail. I have paid extra for white meat family dinner packs, and when I get home they failed to give me the extra white meat. I called the manager and he said if I didn't check it at the drive through there was nothing he could do. I have been there to pick up lunch, to go to the park and low and behold ZERO napkins or forks. When I went back they pointed to a small filthy red and white sign on the drive through window that states "Condiments upon REQUEST". Since when is a napkin a condiment? Or a fork even? The rolls were so hard, it would be a work out to eat them. The people seem to be pretty rude in my opinion. At least the ones I have dealt with. read more

This location in El Paso is terrible. The lady manager is rude and has no people skills. Not the first time I have had to deal with her. The customer is never right, she has an excuse for everything and does not apologize for any inconvenience. I ordered chicken, the guy at the drive through asks me to park in front because there is a five minute wait. I wait 10 minutes and nobody comes out so I go in and the chicken is just sitting there. The lady manager says that the chicken takes 15 minutes, which is irrelevant because the chicken was already ready and they had me waiting and had forgotten about me. I won't be going there anymore. Lady manager, get some people skills. If you do not like your job, then go find somewhere else to work where you won't have to deal with people. read more

The fried chicken was delicious, juicy, perfectly cooked. Asked for mashed potatoes and wasn't asked what kind of gravy I wanted, he just put cream gravy (of which I don't like). I asked for brown gravy and he poured it over the cream gravy. My aunt asked for the mixed dinner, she got a wing and drumstick. Most places give you a wing and a thigh or a breast and a drumstick.
