Came here for a large family party. They are a byob restaurant so if you're looking for a drink this is not the place, but we all brought wine so it didn't matter. The chef personally knew my great aunt and uncle and continuously checked in on us after greeting us personally. The staff were speedy and thoughtful. Not a single person or item over looked or came out wrong. Now for the food. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of everyone's food, but everything we ate was incredibly tasty. The seafood salad was a light treat that I had was a light treat before my meal which I certainly recommend. I had the chicken arugula which was robust and drowning in yummy flavors. My fiancee had the veal which was tender and well breaded. My mother had the sole that I absolutely loved. The bread dip here is so die for!!! Loved the bread. Was worth cheating on my gluten free diet. Food came out so fast given we were a party of 11 I found that impressive.

It has been years since we ate at Granita Grill. We went on a Friday night and they had the guitarist there who is outstanding. He played a variety of different songs and played for a while. To start, they give you two types of bread. One of them tasted like a pizza. The dipping sauce was also delicious. For appetizers, we split the fried calamari and eggplant rollatini. The eggplant rollatini was a little cold but the fried calamari was good, not great. For entree, I had the chicken parm and ordered the vodka sauce for the pasta. The chicken parm was good, but I have had better in the area. Overall, a good BYOB restaurant so we will be back.

Granita Grille was an unexpected absolute pleasure to dine at and my experience demonstrated why they are celebrating their 25th anniversary. The restaurants was bustling and packed in a great way and felt warm and inviting as soon as you walked in. With live acoustic music playing for all the diners. The staff was super friendly and our waitress was a delight. The food was absolutely delicious right down to the massive basket of bread at the table which include numerous pieces focaccia that when dipped in the tomato vinegar mixture on the table was superb. My husband and I got a stuffed artichoke and the seafood salad to start and the stuff artichoke blew us away. It was massive, seasoned great and just looked gorgeous. The seafood salad was fresh and dressed perfectly and also a massive portion. For an entree, I got scallops and was so happy I did. each scallop has a beautiful char on the outside with a tender inside. The scallops had the natural sweetness you want and it was clear they were extremely fresh. It was served on a bed of artichokes and mushrooms which was lovely. My husband got the pork chop special and the pork chop was so juicy (it had me wishing I got this dish) and the hand cut potato chips it came with were the potato chip we all dream about. This was a great experience and I would definitely go again if I was in the mood for Italian! If you are looking for classic Italian fare that is executed right this is the place to go.

Very quaint little BYOB. Live music was an added plus! The right atmosphere and ambiance. The portions were big! All of the entrees came with a side salad. It was good tasting but it was only lettuce. They should have added a bit more to add to taste & color. Shaved carrots or a few cherry tomatoes would have been nice. The bread was delicious and they brought out a spicy dipping sauce as well as olive oil. Prices were very reasonable and service was great too! I ordered a scallop dish and my husband had the chicken scarpariello. Both were fantastic. His has tons of flavor. Loved the spicy sausage! I will definitely be back!

Great New Year at Granita Grille! Food was excellent, as usual. Service was 5and entertainment was excellent. Great ambiance!

Great Italian BYOB. We were a party of 8 and we all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. I asked for something that was not on the menu (seafood fra diábolo) and the chef didn't disappoint.

Food was great and so was the service. With it being a BYOB, the cost was very reasonable as well. Go check it out!

I think I finally found a spot where I can confidently get good pasta AND dessert. My partner and I stopped in this week, and we were immediately met with cool, industrial-style decor and a BOMB playlist. The staff was super friendly and helped a lot with specials and recommendations, as it was our first time. For drinks, we started with a Fig & Melon cocktail and their Old Fashioned. Both were great, but I think the old-fashioned wins over the Fig & Melon. It's smoky and sweet, while the F&M was citrusy and refreshing. To start, we ordered the Mozzarella Sticks Di Bar Mutz with Mutz Hot Honey & Sour Milk. Personally, I am tired of hot honey on everything, haha, so this wasn't for me. If they served it on the side first vs drizzled on top, I probably would have enjoyed it more, as the mozz sticks alone were delicious. The breading was more like a garlic bread than the traditional coating. It also comes with extra hot honey on the side. For our mains, we shared the Spicy Rig and Trottole. Again, both are really good, but the Trottole was the CLEAR winner. The short rib was rich, and the overall dish was perfect for the savory lover like me. The Spicy Rig was lighter, and the bite of pasta with basil was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the mile high espresso martini, affogato martini, which had ice cream they make in-house, and the Samoas cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious! It's a good problem to have when you're dining somewhere, and you're battling it out for who has the best dish. Can't wait to come back and bring friends!

I like the open concept kitchen and the music was definitely on point. However , the food was mostly disappointing , I would say. The mozzarella delicious. Butter cake delicious. But all three pastas that we ordered were definitely not worth the price. I was really excited for the spicy rigatoni that I got and I asked the guy how spicy it was. And he said, 2 out of 10, but when I got it, it was definitely 0 out of 10 spicy. He said too many people complained about the spice level. So they dumbed it down, but it just tasted like tomato sauce with no spice at all. Unfortunate. There were a couple of other appetizers or things on the menu I would be willing to try, but I won't be running back to this spot anytime soon. Especially since it was a good distance away from me.

Located off a busy Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, Ora, meaning "now" or "right now" in Italian, has been on my list and was named Best Italian Restaurant in Bergen County in the 2025 Daily Voice Readers' Choice Awards. A reservation was easily made via Toast. Upon entering as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the host inside this multi-level space with the vibe of a modern farmhouse, featuring warm wood tones, exposed rafters, and chic finishes accented by soft mercury lighting. One can dine in the main room, al fresco on the outside patio, weather permitting, or at one of the many top tables at the bar. We were seated promptly at a cozy table ready inside the main dining room. Their menu features a well-executed spin on Italian cuisine. As a starter, we decided on the Basil Pesto Arancini to share. For the main meal, we opted for one of today's specials, 8oz Prime Spinalis accompanied by Mac & Cheese sans crab meat and Dayboat Sea Scallops. Even saved room for some dessert and decided on the Chocolate Tortino and Soft Serve Gelato Copette. Washed them down with Franganza Spritz. Complimentary housemade bread with whipped butter started our meal. Every dish had flair and stood up against the next. Presentations kept our eyes wide as everything arrived to the table, and even the more straightforward preparations had a little something special about them. Everything was delicious; we really don't think one could go wrong with anything on the menu. What truly elevated the night, though, was our server, Clark. He went above and beyond, attentive without being intrusive, genuinely kind, and clearly passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. It made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Can't wait to dine here again!

Unfortunately for us, some guests got lost on the way over and our party had to wait for all of us to be seated. Since our original tables had now been taken, we waited a while longer, and longer ... getting seated about an hour after our original reservation. We were promptly given menus but the waiter did not come back for quite some time to actually take our orders or serve us drinks, and I noted we finally had orders placed an unacceptable forty minutes after being seated (adding to the hour we wait to get seated). Appetizers were served first - before the complimentary table bread, which I found a bit odd? Between the calamari, caesar salad, and table bread, the food was delicious and flavorful. After appetizers however, there was easily another half an hour wait for our main entrees, with little service inbetween - no topped off waters or cleaned up dishes. My medium rare rack of lamb came out disappointingly medium well, which given the wait for entrees, I shouldn't have been surprised that it continued to cook while waiting to be served. The salty lamb and vegetables were drenched in dressing, and were better off served either with about half the flavor or on the side. Trying a bite of my wife's undercooked pappardelle, I was again disappointed yet not surprised. Summing it up, this place has a fabulous ambiance but the attention to detail from the wait staff and chef is missing, and left us with a three and a half hour dining experience with mediocre food.

While each pasta shape has a unique cooking time, just about every package instructs one to cook the noodles until they reach the "desired consistency"/"al dente." This phrase literally translates from Italian to mean "to the tooth." It describes the texture of cooked pasta when it's tender but firm and chewy when one bites into it. Located on Center Avenue in Westwood, my colleague and I had the opportunity as first-timers at Al Dente Pasta Fresh Pasta Co. for lunch. Upon entering their casual and friendly vibe, we were greeted by the staff and had the place to ourselves in their dining area with an open kitchen. Their menu features a fantastic variety of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and desserts. The star of this establishment has to be the fresh homemade pasta dishes made from Caputo Semola flour imported straight from Italy, accompanying the amazing sauces, each crafted with care and creativity. We decided on their Pasta Bar--Spicy Chili Vodka Cavatelli with Chicken Cutlet and Bolognese Pappardelle. Each came with fresh focaccia bread. The food arrived, and one can taste the difference of freshness. It was absolutely delicious using the high-quality ingredients. The portion was just right as well as the price. Our server, Hunter, was friendly and accommodating. We even had a chance to make small talk with the owner; Joe connected next door at the sister location, Luciano's, for pizza and garlic knots. It's Old World charm with a modern twist, and we can't wait for a repeat performance.
