The job was completed in a timely manner..HOWEVER..the paint started flaking off the rocks that were repainted. This happened with 6 to 8 months of the finished job. Sergio was contacted and after much debate sent his crew back out to clean off calcium and repaint rocks. This was July of 2022. We are now in April 2023 and the rocks are in worse condition than when he was hired for the original job. He has not returned any of our phone calls or texts messages.

He also explained that Duralame logs are not a good idea to use in the fireplace because they are petroleum based and can lead to major problems with residue. I had always used a door flame log as a fire starter because they are so easy to light compared to a bare log and kindling or newspaper. Now that we have gas, the fire lights instantly every time and we only have to run the gas for about 10 minutes after which the wood burns on its own. You can have the cheapest or you can have the best, Steve seems to be the latter.
