For months we have tried to eat here. It has been not great, bad, and downright awful. No one has worked there long, apparently all the cooks walked out or quit or were fired and an ENTIRELY new kitchen staff was cooking. Oh, and they had also apparently never seen a kitchen before. On one visit, our burgers came out with a visible burnt shell around the patty and whatever you ordered, maybe you got a version of what it could be. We were told by an employee that the restaurant was bought or for sale and the owners hadn't bothered to order anything anymore. We went back to fill growlers, half of their inventory was out. When we moved to the area we were so happy to have a place that we could go with our kids and have a nice night or weekend afternoon. We took everyone from out of town here. Now we wouldn't go if someone paid us to go. Such a shame. read more

This is a place that will be interesting to revisit during warmer weather. There is plenty on the menu, both for food and beer. I ordered the black bean wrap. Next time I may order it on a Brioche bun or one of the Mahi Mahi dishes. The house chips with ranch sauce was awesome. The pub fries are the best that I have had in some time. The beers were good. There is a Granite Falls Brewery paddle of six for $12 or a non GFB paddle for $13. My paddle went the full spectrum of a pilsner-like ale to a barrel aged ale. We will return. I may even bring my "steelies" for some darts. It is dog friendly. read more

Awesome Brewery! I was passing through and we ran into this brewery. Plenty of beer to choose from, they had a karaoke night which was fun. Decent bar food. Wings were okay I'd say 7/10. A great place to go to have a nice meal and enjoy a beer or two with your friends. I am glad the menu has more items! I'm not sure why some people are hesitant to give Five Stars. I will tell you what, this place has good service, it is a fun place to go with good food, and I can have some time away from home and I don't have to do the dishes! Came here with a Groupon for beer tasting for 4 and was not disappointed. We had 4 sets of 6 tasters, and also got 2 growlers filled, pint glasses and a couple stickers. They have something for everyone's beer tastes, and brew quite a few on site(my favorite was the porter)..but also have Pabst on tap as well...which was a little weird for a microbrewery! We also stayed for some food, I had the PB&J burger, and although initially a little skeptical, it was quite good...a creamy mixture of PB, Jam, Bacon and a fried egg...the flavors blended quite well overall for a creamy, yet burgery finish. read more

Are used to spend a lot of time in this place back in 2014 when I was working in Lenoir and it's great to get back here for the first time in a few years. The food was always outstanding and this visit did not disappoint either. I was with my wife and three kids on our way to go tubing at Hawk's nest. My wife and I got a flight of six beers (turned out to be 7 beers) we went straight for the entrées. We got there just after they opened on a Saturday morning just after 11 AM. so there was only one other patron at the bar. My two girls ordered the grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich on Texas toast with fries and my son got chicken tenders with fries. My wife got a grilled chicken sandwich dipped and garlic Parmesan sauce with fries and I got the chopped hamburger steak with mushroom gravy. Everything was great and the beers were tasty as well. The only one they gave me bitter beer face was the blueberry ale which was very tart. We still managed a horse them all down then make the trek up the mountain to Seven Devils for tubing. Always a reliable place to grab a bite on the way up or down the mountain. Highly recommend for anyone who likes to eat good food and drink quality beer. Cheers!! read more

Groupon lead me to this local brewery. For $40 we got 2 filled growlers, 4 pint glasses, stickers, and 4 sets of 6 tasters.. and we skipped the tour. We came on a Sunday afternoon and the place was pretty empty.. had our fair share of seating.. booth vs table. Provided with this list of available brews.. I was disappointed that they were out of a handful of them. Nevertheless, I chose my 6 tasters with the ciders being my favorite, specifically the blackberry apple.. it's tasted like a sour candy. Food wise, the PB and J burgers were popular in my group. I opted for the club sandwich which came on Texas toast and was packed with deli meat. The pub chips were pretty good.. all though maybe not seasoned enough. They tasted great with the ranch dressing. This place has a lot of ironic art on the wall.. and lots of mason glass chandeliers. There are darts available.. and some outdoor seating. All in all good experience.. but sad there were so many beers unavailable. read more

Found by accident and will be back. Josh the bartender was super friendly and Ann served us at the bar. I've never been something to be impressed by hand, breaded chicken fingers. In fact, I always laugh about how many was over sell that point as some big deal however, that is what we ended up having and it was scrumptious they have a variety of hot sauces that are unique and housemade. There were a few different types of sandwiches, burgers, etc. that all looked good coming out of the kitchen and even though it was just late afternoon the place was really starting to fill up quickly, so seems a popular spot with locals. I had the Philly Changa with fries, next time I'd choose another side - the fries were good but nothing special and the other sides sounded better. The Changa thing was good, chicken or beef and peppers and onions wrapped and deep fried. Really tasty, not too soggy, The only thing I'd do different is ask for the beer cheese on side. We used to love this place so maybe this was an off night. For their sakes I hope so. We waited forever for two burgers we ordered. And then one came out but didn't have anything on it other than cheese. Plus overdone onion rings. Sent it back and they added crumbled bacon which was still not the burger I asked for. Sent back again. Meanwhile our second burger still had not arrived. At this point we gave up and told them to forget it. They did not offer to comp anything. We drove over an hour because we've always enjoyed this place. As a former server I have never written a negative restaurant review but hopefully this will let them know that this was a poor dining experience. We won't be coming back. read more

My friends, 3 of them, came in from out of state to celebrate my business opening. There were 5 of us in total that went to have lunch at the brewery. It was a beautiful day out, so we opted to sit out on the patio. We made a great choice because it was perfect out there. It was made even better by the salads and burgers we all ordered. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the salads were huge! I ordered a cider and my other friend ordered an old fashioned, along with out sweet tea's with lemon of course. The service was great, the food was great. I was truly proud to bring in people who aren't from this area, and have such a great experience at GFB. That's their first impression of Granite Falls, NC and GFB did not disappoint!! Haven't been here in 5 years and I remember why. Food below average as well as the service! Didn't have 2 different beers in stock that are on the menu. They should be on a chalk board rotating and not on a menu. The fish and chips is "catfish" lol.. sorry to you British folks hoping to get a taste of home. You get some dirty mud carp instead! Coming from Charlotte I drive by the Granite Falls brewery at least once a month heading up to Boone for weekend trips. It was one of those things where we always say "we should stop there" and it never happened...what a big mistake! We had been missing out on a really cool spot. This place is great. The space is HUGE, much bigger than I was expecting. Plus, they have a full kitchen! We sat at the bar and ordered some boneless wings and a couple beers each: Tropical falls apricot mango sour ale Boysenberry sour ale Hoppalachia east coast ipa Ossem NE IPA Food was great--I've heard from others that they've had full meals there and it was really tasty. I'd love to go back just to try some more items from the menu. The beers were all awesome. So flavorful and unique! The Tropical Falls was my favorite out of all of them--and it was available to purchase in cans which is awesome. The service was fantastic, as first-timers we had some questions and the bartender was more than happy to give us some direction. read more

It is our third time that we are stopping here in Granite Falls Brewery. The last times we enjoyed it and with the Groupon had a nice tour with Mario the Owner. Unfortunately, this time we only had a choice of 8 beers from eleven for two flights (3 were out). We both struggled to pick 5, and saved the last for the one we enjoyed the most. The bartender was unhappy to pour flights, explaining that because there are only 6 flight sets in the whole bar, he must wash the glasses each time. read more

Visited this awesome establishment today for a late lunch with my son. We didn't sample any beer, but the place was so cool and the food was good! Parking is quite a ways from the entrance. We weren't entirely sure where to go in, so we followed a couple who knew their way. In the entryway there is a display of old soda bottles that I found really fascinating, and interesting to look over while we waited for the hostess. We were seated quickly and our waitress was attentive and helpful. Everyone in there seemed to be helping each other out. We started with pub chips which came with a side of homemade Ranch dressing and a side of beer cheese. I didn't care for the cheese, but my son loved it. The Ranch was awesome. My son ordered a cheeseburger with pimiento cheese. He liked it, but found the big scoop of cheese to be off putting. He said he'd try something else next time, but did like the burger itself. I got the chef salad, which was enormous. I know a salad is a salad, but the meat they used was quality and thinly sliced. So yummy! The croutons tasted homemade as well. Second visit.. .the first was 4 stars. The second was one star. I don't round up. First trip: Mushroom/Swiss & Fries.. Good burger, not amazing or outstanding, but good. Second trip: Had the world's smallest Club Sandwich. Menu claimed it was a triple-decker and I didn't see a hint of an onion. It was no where near a $10.00 sandwich. They were out of fries, no biggie, but subbed it for Onion Rings.. There might have been 5. Certainly not what I would call a full order. Stopped in on the way back from Boone. Was extremely impressed all around. Pimento cheeseburger was excellent. Had two bloody marys and was not expecting them to be as good as they were for being at a brewery where their specialty is obviously beer. One of the best bloody marys I've had in a long time.
