Food was good. Absolutely the worst service I've seen. Had to wipe my own table and get my drink. Young boy was the waiter and we never once saw him until we were waiting in line to pay then he handed me my bill. Probably won't be back my husband did not like the food. read more

Yum Yum Best Coffee in Erath County! We drive from Stephenville to Dublin just to eat at Granny Clarks. Breakfast and lunch buffets are tasty, though small. We haven't had the pleasure of making it to dinner yet. The restaurant is a little overstuffed with tables, and the booths aren't the most comfortable but well worth the meh decor for the food. Passing through Dublin about 11:30 on a Sunday morning and saw Granny Clark's parking lot over half full, thought this might be a good place to stop. Boy did we hit the Jackpot; this is down home Texas cooking at its best. We both had the buffet for the Fried Chicken and Chicken Fried Steak; you would have to a long way to get better. Stopped in for lunch last Saturday and the place was packed. We had the buffet and the food was good and fresh. The salad bar was really good with some really good blue cheese dressing. We were told that we missed the ribs because they ran out, so get there early. Peach and apple cobbler, cake and pudding with soft serve ice cream finish a good buffet. read more

Driving through Dublin on our way to Waco and stopped here, and so glad we did! Everything we had on the buffet was so good! My husband said it was probably the best chicken fried steak he's eaten and the homemade apple cobbler.m too. If you hit this place up at the wrong time to enjoy the buffet. They will charge you full price for half a buffet. They have done it to me and I have watch them do it to others. Otherwise if you hit it at the right time(???) you will be ok and get you a buffet for the right price! Went to the newly renovated Granny Clark's today and I was most impressed with the way the inside looks--very nice textured walls, and impressive flooring. In addition the booths have been remodeled with new cushions and the tables have great looking old time blue checkered table cloths. The renovations and new layout make the place very airy and brighter. More importantly, the food was excellent! I had the chicken fried steak along with mashed potatoes and gravy. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork and very well seasoned and not over-breaded--it was literally the best chicken fried steak I've had in the state of Texas. They now have a senior lunch plate for $6.50 which comes with an entree and one side along with a trip to the salad bar. You can also choose from a large menu or from the buffet or a daily blue plate special. Add $2 for your drink and you're out the door for $8.50 on the senior or blue plate special which is very fair in my opinion. The waitresses were very attentive and constantly checking on us for tea refills or whatever we needed. Bottom Line: The wait is over and Granny Clark's is open and was well worth the wait. If you're in Dublin, I would recommend ya'll give it a try. read more

Thought we would give it a try based on the reviews. Couldn't have been more pleased. Friday nights Buffet...steak, fried and boiled shrimp, great salad bar all was fresh, dessert and all the sides including Baked or mashed potatoes, gravy, sautéed mushrooms, green beans, carrots and bread. Not a great place for an after the game dinner. They had the grill closed before 8:45 so our family plus at least 2 others were turned away. They say they are open until 9:00, but you need to get there much earlier. read more

Stopped here on the way through town after reading some of the other Yelp reviews....this is good, down home cookin. Buffet was stocked full of goodies including Real, not frozen, chicken strips....hamburger steak, real mashed potatoes, and homemade mac and cheese. My son had a bacon cheeseburger and he said it was delicious too! I recommend this place to anyone who wants a full belly and is in the Dublin, TX area. We ear here 2 to 3 times a week. We have the blue plate. On the blue plate, you get to choose one meat and 3 vegetables, a dessert, and tea. It is $4 dollars on Tuesday and $6 on other days. The food is good. The place is pretty much full every day. The staff are very friendly. read more

Went there on a Friday night, for the buffet. Probably the best chicken fried steak I have ever eaten was on the buffet menu, along with wonderful home fried potatos, hushpuppies, collared greens, and a pecan pie type of cobbler. Everything was just as good as it gets. Don't be fooled by the building's appearance, this food is tremendous. If I am back in this part of Texas, this is a must stop. YUMMY!! read more

Went to Stephenville with my husband and kids to visit my husband grand father. Had breakfast almost every morning there. The staff is friendly and polite and the food was excellent. They even have peanut butter if you eat it on your pancakes. We ate dinner Saturday and my husband loved it. Salad bar included in buffet and the dessert was great too. This place has amazing food! We've been there a few times and haven't been disappointed. The lunch buffet is very good, but the breakfast buffet is one of the best I've had. They have an omelette station where you can pick your ingredients and they make it in front of you. My husband said it was one of the best omelettes he'd ever eaten. The cinnamon rolls are amazing too!! Highly recommend this place to anyone. read more
