a hamburger and onion rings
Scott L.

My first time trying a burger here. At first the place reminded me of another long time local chain a little further south. Simple menu with a few options including a chicken burger, corn dogs, onion rings, and fish on Fridays. They also have several flavors of shakes and some indoor seating. I chose the cheeseburger deluxe without lettuce, which really just added tomatoes. There was mustard, relish and pickles along with a sesame seed bun. Good size, but if hungrier I'd go with the double double. I had the food to go, but was home in a few minutes. The meat was juicy but I don't feel like it make the meal soggy. The onion rings are breaded while I normally like the battered ones more. They were crispy but not over cooked. Actually I was impressed by the flavor and the tartar sauce was really good. I'd try the fish with it!

Cheeseburger Deluxe and Fries

I like this place. The look, the staff and the food. I read that some others had bad experiences, that was not the case in mine. The fry's are on par with Micky D's (and we all know they are the best). I had the cheeseburger deluxe and suddenly I understood why there were multiple Grant's locations. I spent 8:50 for the deluxe and a small fry. I felt like it would be twice that at the Golden Arches. I'm definitely coming back here next time I'm in the area.

Good old fashion burgers. Top notch fries and onion rings. Yummy chocolate malts. Staff was very fast and friendly-- which is hard to find in Bellingham.

I have been wanting to go here for a while to get the fish and chips. Today I got to go. They were quite crowded. I got the 4 piece fish. I thought it was a 4 star taste and 5 star value. You get a lot for the money ! I recommend this fish but it is only on Friday's

This is the best burger joint in the neighborhood. Fast, fair prices, delicious! I love to get the double meat and cheese deluxe. The onion rings and shakes are always tasty too!

Fish Fry Friday hit the spot! Crispy delicious cod! I'll do that again. Been here at lest a dozen times. Good burgers. Frys are hit or miss so I usually go with the onion rings. Corn dogs are good too. Website isn't up to date with prices but oh well. Quick and delicious.

A single scoop at a double scoop price!!!

Long wait, only 2 people working at peak lunch time. I felt a large fry was not that big for the price.

Food, quality and portions, for price charged is decidedly underwhelming and disappointing.

The dining room was elegant yet cozy, with great lighting. The staff was also very friendly and our waiter was very helpful in aiding our choice. We ordered the Focaccia bread, the salmon momtadito and the tonnarelli as our entree. The focaccia was the only dissapointing item as it was very basic in my opinion, which isn't bad but just nothing exciting to write about. The appetizer, the salmon montadito, was probably my favorite item of the night. It was served on focaccia bread and drizzled with a truffle honey butter and sat upon a mascarapone yogurt. It was elegant and it was incredibly flavorful. The sweetness of the truffle honey butter was a great contrast to the salmon itself, and all melted together to make an exceptional appetizer. The tonnarelli was a pasta dish we split and was also very tasty. The pasta itself was a thicker spaghetti like pasta served with plenty of crab. It was tasty and it satisfied and I'd likely order it again as I will be back when my sister's visit. All in all, a great restaurant to spend a nice night right in the heart of Bellingham!

They happily put the game on when we asked and were very attentive throughout our visit, which made a great first impression. I ordered the burger with bacon and blue cheese and requested no condiments. I think there may have been some confusion in the kitchen, as the garnishes were left off as well, but our server promptly brought them out when asked. Unfortunately, the burger itself was overcooked and lacked flavor. The ciabatta roll was only partially toasted, and overall the dish fell a bit flat. The fries, however, were excellent hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and absolutely delicious. I don't usually like coated fries, but these were a home run. My dining partner ordered the BLT and said the sandwich was great overall. We also shared the mozzarella sticks appetizer. They were a bit different from traditional mozzarella sticks, thicker cheese with a heavier breading. While they were good, I felt the order should have included six instead of four. Overall, even though we were one of only two tables in the restaurant, we had a great lunch, thanks largely to the excellent service.

The bacon was okay, the eggs tasted like they might have been reconstituted, the English muffin was tough, but the white toast was excellent, thickly cut and toasted just right. The fruit and coffee were both okay. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and really tried hard to make sure we had what we needed. Service was definitely the highlight. The restaurant was clean and though there were lots of people there it wasn't too noisy. I was surprised to see how worn the booth seating was. It was convenient and quick, which fit our morning plans, but we decided to try other spots in town for the rest of our meals.

Meaning I actually chose to be seated inside. Staff were wonderful as ever--new people to me this time: helpful and charming servers, Maysen and David, and excellent barkeep, Marko. The beverages were top notch as ever. I didn't find an old favorite on the menu, so I asked about a drink they used to have into which they infused magically with actual oiled smoke of some sort. I don't know if I ended up with that, but they brought me the Seasmoke which was so extraordinary. I loved the dry Black Cherry Cider and one other whose name I don't recall (blond...and a little citrusy nice). Truffle fries were nice. Kale Caesar Salad is scrumptious. I couldn't resist adding some of their fabulous crispy chicken. You get a supremely generous amount of chicken for a bargain--I ended up with extra for dinner. Terrific place. Glad I happened by...

The patio is nice because it has lights and heat, but MY GOD the bar stools are not comfortable. I felt like my legs were gonna have bruises and my lower back was gonna be sore. We are both young and active people but were DYING on the barstools. It was also odd to be so high up when we had dogs on the ground, as it made it hard to manage them. We ended up putting them in the car because it was such an awkward height distance (they are small dogs). I was excited about the online menu since they had a lot of gluten free options. The menu in person was different than the menus I saw online and on Yelp. Not too different, just definitely a rotation/seasonal element. I perhaps had some gluten free vegan wings in my heart that have not seen the menu in a while but are posted online a lot. I got a hawaiian style bowl with tofu and my fiance got a sandwich. We each got a cocktail as well, and our total was $100. I thought this was a little steep, but we did like everything we got. I will go back, but probably without dogs and without a dream of what I see on the online menu.

I started with oyster shooters (Willapa Bay) along with a Lion's Tail cocktail. Sierra said the bourbon and lime complement each other. I wouldn't have thought so and thought it a bit of an odd choice. But she was right and I was wrong: it was fabulous. One of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, for my tastes. She gave me several recommendations for dinner. I picked the Jalapeño Chicken. It was luscious and flavorful, but the best part of it was my choice of Balsamic Brussels sprouts as my side--oh my! These were so delicious I ordered two more batches to have at home. Lovely espresso martini to end it all.

I was happy to see steamed clams on the menu. I grew up eating fresh steamed seafood for dinner, so battered fried seafood that is more common here hasn't really grown on me yet. To me fried seafood is a fancy version of chicken nuggets. I loved the clams, so light but bland. The sauce is full of umami flavor, drizzled with some fresh lemon juice, it was like a summery beachy afternoon in a bowl. I could easily dip a loaf of toast with it if I had one. The clams were fresh and meaty, nothing to complain about with this dish. My partner had the grilled cheese, and he said it was mid. He's vegetarian, and I don't like cheese, so I didn't bother to try any of his meal to do my own fact check. The staff were friendly too. Overall, this is a nice place to grab lunch when visiting Bellingham.
