I'm gluten free and didn't feel like just another salad, so ordered the pork chop entree. Only down side was the salad came with the meal, wish it came earlier. Dinner salad had all the fixens. Good house dressing on the side. Pork chops were enormous, thick and juicy. I opted for fries since it was lunch and they were hot and plentiful, and not coated so gluten free friendly. Everytime I am in town to visit my family I make a point to eat here multiple times. This trip included a breakfast visit and a take out dinner order. The staff is always friendly, you feel like family in here. One of the best Greek salads around and one of the only places I'll eat it with the potato salad in it. It was a very cold day with temperatures not making it out of the 50s today. So I needed a bowl of soup to warm my bones. I was probably greeted by the hostess and asked about their soups. They always have chicken dumpling on the menu as well as soup du jour. Since today was Friday their special was clam chowder, one of my favorite ! With no delay, I was seated at a comfortable table, and my server brought me some hot coffee. I told her my soup choice and she quickly returned, hot steamy bowl of clam chowder. It was thick with loads of clams and a wonderful taste. For my entrée, I opted for liver and onions because they're known for it. It was very tender and not overcooked. The service here was great and they were accommodating for a slightly larger party. The atmosphere is alright, it's nothing special but it's cozy. I enjoyed my pasta, but it was very heavy and had a bit too much bacon. The bread it came with was so soft and flavorful. Decided to come here on a Saturday afternoon after a nearby art show. It wasn't crowded so we were sat immediately. Server was great, extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu which says a lot because listen, that menu has A LOT of options. Seriously, everything you can imagine. Eggplant parmesan, taco salad, steak, chicken wings, pasta... it's very possible you'll get overwhelmed just from the options alone which could be a pro or a con. Now, let's talk about the food... absolutely delicious. I was nervous the food wouldn't be seasoned but it was. It wasn't too salty or bland, it was actually just right... and most importantly, it was fresh. You could tell the food was fresh. Also the portions, omg the portions. You get hide portions... like back in 90s when they were trying to feed 3 people with one portion kinda sizes. You don't see portions like this anymore. You should def have food to take home if you don't overdo it. Prices are great, and for 3 people out meal was less than $50 which is rare in these 2023 inflation prices. Would I come back? I've probably eaten at Savory a hundred times or more in the 20 years I've lived in Largo. Never had a bad meal there. Everything seems to be cooked fresh and is always delicious. The dinner salads are always cold, fresh and have a nice variety of veggies. However it would be nice if field greens or spinach or some dark leafy green vegetable was in the salads rather than just all iceberg lettuce, which has no health value whatsoever. Over the years, the menu has changed somewhat and I've tried many things and like I said before, everything is delicious. I'm especially a big fan of the liver and onions. I also like the fact that there's a variety of different nationality foods, including Italian, Greek and Asian. Savory is reasonably priced and just a great place to go in the neighborhood when you're hungry and know that you're going to be served a good meal with enough to take home for leftovers. read more

I rated it a 3 for the service which was excellent. This was my second try at this diner. I was very disappointed the first time. Ordering the steak was not a good idea. But I give every place a second chance . I decided to order a burger and fries, thinking it was pretty simple.Both my friend and I ordered the same thing, and the burgers were both Overcooked and dry. First visit to the restaurant for breakfast and it was a great experience. Nice seating with plenty of room. Wait staff was efficient and pleasant throughout the entire experience. I am loving this place. Normally when you find a place that does multiple cuisines it is a mess but here is he exact opposite! I've tried both their Greek and Italian food and loved both! The photos I have attached are from my first time to the restaurant with my cousin. I got the Greek gyro on pita with coleslaw! Let me start off by saying their coleslaw is awesome, just a great taste overall. I add pepper to mine by preference but it is good without as well. The gyro was huge and that's not a complaint for the price! I almost finished the whole pita, it was juicy and not very greasy which was a nice surprise! My cousin got the chicken pita and that was good as well, well cooked and flavored chicken on it! The salad that accompanied her meal was large and could definitely be taken as leftovers. We finished off the night with pie of course! I got the pumpkin pie and she got apple. The pumpkin pie was thick but good - I had half the pie leftover to take home since it was so filling. The apple pie was good, I only had a slice of apple from it and it was well cooked. I actually loved the prices to portion size on everything and the flavors so much that I brought my boyfriend in too! This time I got the chicken parm sub without the cheese and it was hot and good! We tried the buffalo cauliflower with ranch and I loved it - definitely a must try! Overall I really like this place and will be coming back! Any variation you can think of is on the menu. I was in the mood for something different.. Greek it was!! Really nice and cozy restaurant, the first thing my wife and I noticed was how clean it was kept inside. We went for breakfast and weren't disappointed, our food was delicious, I ordered the ultimate combo and received a generous portion and my wife had a heaping plate of their French toast. Ate there for lunch this afternoon. Told waitress I have severe gluten intolerance. Cesar salad came with croutons, I sent it back. The cook took off the croutons, leaving behind one broken one and possibly crumbs, which will send my intestines into orbit. Returned salad, again, said forget it, no more. Salmon was tasteless, tzekie liquidy & yuk. Mashed potatoes too salty and mealy. Send it back. Waitress a gem, said sorry, got me a burger, yum. I got the manager, explained my gluten issue to educate her, said you can't just take off the croutons, it leaves crumbs. She said sorry, didn't know. When time to pay told cash only, system down for cards. I have cash, we pay. Waitress said sign out front, we feel they should have told us before we ordered & ate. Husband talking to mngr again about this, when all hell broke loose. Customer involves himself, yelling "just pay your bill". We had. First time here. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich it came with a choice of fries or Greek potato salad. The sandwich had mild heat and came with cheese and a side of pickles. My friend had a burger. You have to ask for condiments and lettuce and tomato. Doesn't automatically come with it. Her dish came with loads of fries. My granddaughter had pancakes with scrambled eggs. The eggs were perfect; no too wet and no too dry, 2 large pancakes which looked fluffy. She hovered them, teenagers right? The host and waitress were great. She knew exactly when to approach the table and fill drinks. Friendly and accommodating people. The prices are reasonable considering transportation costs. Average $10/person. You don't leave hungry. Our group of nine diners we are seated promptly at 6 o'clock. Our server was very good and explained the menu to those that had questions. Savory is a classic family style restaurant. They offer breakfast served all day, a multitude of sandwiches, plus very interesting entrées for dinner. Including lots of pasta dishes. The big hit at our table on this night was their Italian sausage smothered with mozzarella cheese over spaghetti with sauce. Five out of the nine people chose this dish, my wife being one of them. None of the five people could finish their meal, so there was a lot of take-home boxes. I chose to have a Reuben sandwich with steak fries, which was good. Others in our group had chicken wings, beef and chicken stirfry, chicken wrap, and one person had a steak. All were very happy with their meals, and we decided that we will be back again to this very good restaurant. read more

Amazing customer service! Today was fathers day. At 10:30 in the morning I had my kids my wife and my parents with me. The place was packed, standing room only, and the host ( owner ) made accommodations for my entire family to be seated within 15 minutes. I've had bad experiences at Savory in the past. The food and service were poor. It's been a few years so I thought I'd give it another try. My bad! I should have gone with my past experience as a guide. The service was very bad. Had to ask for every simple item - napkins, water refill, ketchup for fries, the bill, etc. Perhaps the waitress was inexperienced, but no excuse for the simple common sense stuff. The food was very mediocre. You know the feeling when you leave a restaurant full but nauseous and unsatisfied? That's Savory. Ordered a gyro - meat was cold and no tzatziki sauce on the sandwich. Meat tasted stale and old. Menu claimed fresh sliced meat - I claim b.s. Wife ordered split pea soup. It was a disgusting bizarrely thick blob of pea sludge. Shame on me for going back. Never again! Worst Breakfast Ever! Waited 45 mins for food that was undercooked. Home fries were raw in the middle for both orders...I took two bites greek omlette had no gyro meat buy tasted OK. Home fries were mushy. Pan cakes arrived without syrup and when I got the servers attention she came back five minutes later with syrup and said my cakes are cold and she's warm them and took my plate. I had no time to say no. The plate returned to hot to touch and all the butter ( most of which I wiped off the cakes) were microwaved into the cakes which were now hot and mushy. 1/4 of our breakfast was edible. My husband and I pickup food at the drive thru window at least once a week. We really like the food and the family that runs it are always on site. The quality of food is consistent and the prices are fair.They also do a very good job on packaging the to go food. Very well run place.It's a true drive thru window, not a wait in your car type of thing. Plenty of different options for everyone. My favorite is the Greek salad and chicken combo and my husband loves the liver and onions. Really, all the food is good. If you dine in the restaurant itself is cute and very clean.
