Had another family date night at Granville inn. The service was perfect and we love the vibe. The food is good but still wish it was a little better for the price. It's ocean club higher end dinner prices but just not there... "yet" lol. Overall a nice experience and great family time. I had the lamb chops, my son had the salmon while my daughter had French onion soup and a steak skewer and my wife a soho and salad.

If you're traveling through the Columbus area this is the place to stay. It's in a secure quaint little town. The service is over the top and the historic ambiance is beyond description. However, the lack of in room coffee, microwave, and mini fridge is disappointing.

My husband took me to The Oak Room for Mother's Day dinner and we were so pleased. The food, service and music created the perfect atmosphere for a lovely evening.

This review is for dining at the Granville Inn restaurant only. The Mother's Day brunch buffet really surpassed expectations. Sometimes I find buffet can mean to lower my expectations on service and food quality, but definitely not the case here. Everyone that we encountered from the hostess to the managers went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. I appreciated the extra attention they gave my mom to make her day special. Lots of choices on the buffet, but the standouts were the cold salads, the omelette station and the desserts. So many options to satisfy the sweet tooth including key lime pie, cheesecake, carrot cake, cookies and tres leches cake. The buffet price did not include mimosas. All drinks were ordered as cash bar, and they had a fun mother's day cocktail special that had edible glitter. The inn itself is beautiful and we enjoyed a stroll through downtown Granville afterwards.

I've been a huge fan of the Granville inn for over a decade. The food is always impeccable, the servers are knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the site. The site seems to find the right balance between formality and yet being comfortable for dinner or lunch. I enjoy coming for business dinners, taking interview candidates for lunch or just stopping in with the family if I'm out in Granville.

My aunt and uncle recently moved to this area and I had been wanting to check this place out so it was a perfect fit to meet for dinner here. The best time we could get was 5pm, there was an alumni event at the college that weekend so places were extra busy, but even by the time we left it wasn't full. I think they maybe didn't have enough staff. However, our waitress was really sweet and patient with us first timers. My husband and I got a bottle of wine and my aunt and uncle grabbed some cocktails, all of which were great. The bread service is divine. They serve it with a salted herb butter. To start, I got the French onion soup, and my husband got a wedge and both were delicious. For my main course I got the steak frites, and while the fries were delicious, the steak left a bit to be desired. My husband got the wild boar special and loved it though! It was a cute spot to check out in the area, but next time we're there I think we'll try something else first

Drove up to Granville and had lunch at the Granville inn . Always a nice place to have lunch . Never had dinner there tho but I'm sure it's good . We had the prime rib Philly sandwich which was very tasty. The French fries that came with it was very good . The inn has alot of history and will be celebrating its 100 th anniversary .soon. In celebration of the upcoming anniversary, the inn will be featuring special food and beverage menu items throughout the year. Renovations have been planned for the dining room in Jan of 2024

We stayed here a couple years ago and loved our visit. We were excited to visit on this trip for dinner and drinks. Just as it was during our last experience the bar is fantastic. So many well made drinks, we ordered an old fashioned and a bees knees which we loved. For dinner we ordered a burger and the chickpea stew. So so yummy with wonderful service as well.

Second time at this location. Granville only has a couple options and this would be one of the top picks to get a good feel of the town. The food is over priced. I got the fish special that was $50 and it was ok. Very nice ambiance. I guess Denison owns the inn now.

Steak Diane... The BEST Wagyu filet I've ever had!
    Heather L.

We had an incredible time celebrating our 33rd anniversary this weekend. The Steak Diane in the Oak Room was one of the best we've ever had--so tender you could cut it with a fork, and the sauce was divine! We've dined at some of the finest restaurants, but this was truly exceptional. The service from our server, Mason, was impeccable. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. His service alone is reason enough to return. We also loved the spacious and comfortable Presidential Suite. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you!

We came at 6 on a Friday, and there were several parties but it wasn't busy. Only one server it seemed, and she was busy but kept up on things, with some help from the manager and other staff. Nice to see management jumping in and actually helping. They had a special St. Patrick's Day menu for the weekend, and everything on there looked good. Sweetie went with fish and chips, and they were pretty good. A little overcooked maybe, at least the batter, but the fish was tender and it was all tasty. K had cheese pizza, and fries. Decent kids menu, and decent food. A coloring menu and crayons are always nice. I had the corned beef and colcannon, and it was excellent. Loads of meat, with a sweet and savory sauce. Lots of perfect colcannon, with potatoes/parsnips/cabbage/leeks. Yum. They had a mix-up and started that late, so they gave us a free dessert. They also all looked good, and we went with the cherry bread pudding, which was excellent. Bread was many mini loaves, good enough to hold you till the app. Which I forgot about: Sweetie and I shared Brussels sprouts. Very good, with shaved parm on top. We all had leftovers (of the entrees, not the sprouts) for lunch the next day. Service was great, the setting is nice. Several seating options, including igloos in the courtyard. We also had breakfast here, free with vouchers from staying in the hotel, and it was a step above the usual hotel breakfast. Same kind of items, but better quality. AYCE, for $15 if you're paying separately, and though of course you pay one way or another it was worth it. We'd definitely come back. Really only came because it was handy, but way better than expected, and part of a nice stay at the hotel.
