Chicken rice soup of the day

I just love this place. The guys are all working hard and give the best service. The food is made fast and is phenomenal. Those fresh made table bread was just perfect. We got a quick lunch, with garlic sauce (the best), chicken rice soup, and chicken shawarma sandwich. It took me a minute because this is a favorite lunch spot for local businesses, and I've had many of their entrees. The shawarma was so tasty. Seeing that they are open and their food is still exceptional even though they are understaffed and working hard, I will be returning more often.

Was at my cousin's graduation recently, we had it catered by Grape Leaves. Chafing dishes were on the ready for delivery. Had beef and chicken shawarma, almond rice, fatoosh, tabouli, meat and rice grape leaves and hummus. Lots of extra garlic, yogurt and tahini to accompany the meats. Wish the pita wasn't all over the fatoosh, had to pick out the salad. The tabouli was decent as was the hummus. The chicken was extremely dry and fatty and had some tendons on pieces of it. Mostly ate the tabouli and the tomatoes from the fatoosh. The hummus wasn't special, just okay. My cousins are 1/4 Lebanese and they weren't impressed by the food either.

This place has the best crushed lentil soup. It's so good that I've been coming back here every week for the last four weeks since my first visit. I was introduced to this restaurant through a coworker who said this her favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area. The food is very good. In my several visits so far I've tried the shish tawook sandwich, tabbouli and chicken tawook sandwich, fatoush salad with chicken breast, and of course their crushed lentil soup. I would recommend getting the crisply pita to go with the soup, instead of regular bread. Their tabbouli is excellent, full of flavor as is their shish tawook sandwich. They are generous with the garlic paste in the sandwich which I like. Service is very quick which is great for work lunch. I've done carryout as well and they are accurate when filling the order and include all the silverware, napkins, etc which is great not to have to worry about or having to check the order before you leave.

I came here for lunch and left disappointed. I ordered their bowl with chicken shawarma. Online it says you can choose other beats but the lady only gave me beef or chicken shawarma. They also said they have two rices, it was only yellow rice. The yellow rice texture was way off. It was hard like they didn't add enough water for it to cook. It was also old and cold. The vegetables were not many to choose from as I liked. The chicken shawarma was old, very dry and burnt like it's been there for a days and not getting used often. Their garlic sauce was very chunky too like it was almost spoiled. I did try my food. The sad thing is the flavor was all there. It was just not fresh. But the meat was seasoned well. Pricing was 13.99$ for the bowl. There was one person working that I seen. They were not mean, but wasn't friendly either if you know what I mean. Maybe they were tired.

For my first and certainly not my last meal here, I got the Honest Bowl. Options abound on how you tailor your bowl from the starch base (rice or Bulgar), choice of protein (meats and vegetarian options), choice of 2 salads (multiple ethic salads to choose from), choice of 2 ethnic vegetables and choice of 2 ethnic sauces. My Honest Bowl with rice , chicken, Nomad Greek Salad, Moorish Coleslaw, Beet medley, Persian cukes and sauces was absolutely delicious. It was a flavor explosion with each bite where the flavors and textures melded together and complemented each other so well. The bowl was generous in size, with a lot of chicken (no skimping here) , fresh ingredients and oh so tasty. I was quite filled from this bowl and truthfully had a hard time fiinishing but soldiered on to the last tasty bite. Facility is clean with a utilitarian vibe to it. Staff was friending and helpful as there are a lot off options in making this bowl where being a first time diner here the many options can be a bit confusing initially. they also have placards at the food prep area to help guide you through the process which was a big help. Overall I am a fan of this business and will definately be returning in the future. If you are a fan of Mediterranean food or Chipolte and are looking for a flavor pop with your meal you definately should check this business out. You will not be disappointed!
