I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with this dealership and would not recommend them. I was shopping for a used Honda and from the start the process lacked transparency. I was initially given a quote sheet with no APR information and had to ask directly for the interest rate details. When financing was presented, I was pushed toward high-interest in-house options over long terms, while my pre-approved credit union financing was dismissed as "impossible," despite being an approved loan Throughout the process, I experienced repeated high-pressure sales tactics, including attempts to discourage outside financing, minimizing the value of an independent mechanic inspection, and creating false urgency by implying other buyers were actively interested in the vehicle. I was also asked to provide my mechanic's photos and documentation, which I found inappropriate. After I chose not to proceed, the dealership escalated contact attempts beyond normal customer communication, including contacting my employer using information I provided and reaching out to my manager in an attempt to get ahold of me. Beware of the SHAM "Perma Plate" Warranty (for those that have been buying Hondas, it's that 1 from over 15 years ago, but they don't cover anything now) that they will make you purchase for $699, as a "requirement", when you get to the finance department, after already dealing with 5 different people, over 3 different days. A sham warranty that will not actually cover anything and when you attempt to address it (even if it was promised to be covered upon purchase of the car), Sergio Alvarez General, the Sales Manager, will promise to contact corporate on your behalf to attempt to get you a refund, only to have them just commit fraud and get away with it. I was so excited to buy a new car, I had an appointment with Patrick, when I got there the person at the front desk told me it was Patrick's day off and continuously complained about having to do patrick's job. Then when we start talking numbers they refused to lower the price unless I financed with them and repeatedly told me that they wouldn't make any money off the car. Be careful - these guys are sharks. I know (I've been driving for a few decades and know cars) that you should never take your car to a dealership for service. Grapevine Honda has reminded me that this truth still exists. My Acura MDX had an alternator fail not far from the dealership, so against my better judgement, I towed the car to Grapevine Honda. It was a classic alternator fail and all I needed was a new one. I knew the dealership would cost a little more than any other shop, and I was ok with a reasonable mark-up. As my car was being dropped off, Andrew in Service told me there would be a $189 "diagnostic fee," which is the dealer's way of saying " we will look for everything we can find to fix on your car and get back to you." I expected this as part of dealing with a dealership, and OK'd the fee. They said they would get back to me later on or the next day. The next morning, I received a text saying a tech has been assigned to my car and that it was in the bay. HOURS went by and later in the afternoon, I called them for an update. They said "We are still looking at it and will get back to you." "OK, sometime today?" "Oh definitely today." Later that day, I received another text saying they would need until the NEXT day. This is all for an alternator, which I know is bad and is taking them TWO DAYS to diagnose. I need to mention that their Sales team called me asking if I wanted to trade in my car for a new one. NO. I don't want to give you my good-working vehicle so I can sign up for financing a new $50k car at 7% over 84 months.... Give me a break. All for an alternator, which should cost less than $1000. The Sales Dept also followed up with a text - "Don't forget about us - we want your money" So the NEXT day, Andrew in Service told me without hesitation that the alternator would cost me $1700.00! That's more than TWICE what it should cost, and that's even with a dealership markup. I promptly towed my car to another shop and had the work done SAME DAY for $800 total - parts, labor and tax. DO NOT take your car to Grapevine Honda. They only want your money, are shameless and will NEVER see one of my cars again (I have 5). Not only that, but they haven't done a THING to change the stereotype of "car dealers are slimy and will take advantage of you any way they can." When I removed my car from their lot, I had to pay the $189 fee that I agreed to, but if they actually had a technician on my car for a day and a half, and it only cost me $200, they actually lost money on me. I'm fine with that. I truly hope they lose as much on others and maybe they will learn.... Do yourself and your bank account a favor - look around, go someplace else. Do not trust this dealership. EDIT - Christian (Service Manager) reached out to me. He offered a sincere apology about my experience and had very good customer service skills. Last fall, I came with my parents to purchase a 2024 Honda vehicle. Based on other reviews, we had a similar experience, there was the standard back and forth, time wasted and attempting to add unnecessary fees. The sales and finance departments will try to push you to get the extended warranty, saying it will only cost such and such extra a month. What they fail to mention is there's another payment per month for the extended warranty to be effective which you find out after you sign the papers. My salesman was Frank who ended up finding the car I wanted once I stood firm to what I wanted in the car. We negotiated a decent monthly payment plan/interest rate after putting a significant amount down. From my experience once you leave the dealership, if you attempt to reach out to Frank for a question he won't respond. I would recommend declining the extended warranty it appears to be an unnecessary expense. My other issue with Grapevine Honda is the wait time for services. I booked an appointment for an oil change which comes with the multi-point inspection and premium car wash. On the phone I was told it would be an hour and a half wait, I thought that was a long wait but I agreed. When I got there I waited almost an hour before my service advisor Jose shared the wait time would be an additional hour and a half. He returned periodically to gather information from me and update me on the car. I asked if it normally took so long and why, the answer I received was they were a little backed up. I understand, he has a job to do and he was kind throughout the process. The almost three and a half hour wait for an oil change, multi-point inspection with a premium car wash added in is ridiculous. The car wash was okay but it's certainly not worth the retail price of $19.95. I'll head to a closer Honda dealership for any services or needs I have. read more

I had been searching for a Honda Civic LX with low mileage or new for 2 months. Very difficult to find one in inventory in any dealership and at a reasonable price. I went to Grapevine Honda. Spoke to sales representative Bryant Hernandez. Instead of a Honda Civic LX I came out of the dealership with with a new Honda Civic Sport, a more luxuriuos and higher value model than the LX, but at the price of an LX (about $6000 less than its actual price). It is difficulty to understand why my A/C had to be repaired 3 times. The exact same problem, but I was told it was 3 separate issues a couple of months apart. The straw that has broken this camel's back is when you ask and are told that the simple state inspection has been done only to find out when I go to get the renewal tag that it was either NOT done or the tech didn't register the work. Either way, I have to now go somewhere else and get the inspection done properly. Service advisors are very nice, but the guys actually doing the work are not reliable. Worst experience I ever had trying to buy a car. First I asked if I could hold the car if I liked it after driving three hours up there and they told me yes. When I got there and after test driving, I asked if I could put down a payment to hold it, they told me there was absolutely nothing I could do to hold the car for a few days. That really pissed me off. They also try making you pay the perma plate fee which is absolutely just a way for them to uncharge you. After much consideration, and agreeing to pay the perma plate fee, I decided I would go ahead and pay for the asking price because I really liked the car. I had sent my price analysis sheet to a sales rep and said I will get the car if I can get it for the ALREADY discussed and DECIDED on final price. He told me yes. When I drove three hours back up there, they then told me that no, it would be 200 dollars more. Absolutely not. I walked out and I will never be going back to this dealership. They are frauds and they wasted my time. I also noticed the amount of people saying they had problems with their cars after purchasing them and then this dealership did nothing. While I was test driving the second time, a brakes system and anti lock break system warning notification came up. When we asked about this, they told us "oh it just does that, everything's fine" but we still had a Honda mechanic look at it. I was lied to. I have a warranty issue that needed to be fixed. They refused to fix the warranty issue without an expensive diagnostic test. However, I was assured that I wouldn't have to pay for the diagnotic test if they determined that it was a warranty issue. It turned out to be a warranty issue but they decided that I needed to fix something else for $1200 before they would fix the warranty issue. I have a video of the diagnotic that I sent to the dealership I bought the car from. They agreed that I was being scammed. However, since they tricked me into signing something saying I agreed to pay for the dianostic I left with over $300 out of my pocket and a car that still didn't work. Go somewhere else. I took my car in on 1/2/23 and was told it would be ready the next day. Though I was told I would get regular updates by text, I have had to repeatedly call my service agent and each time I was given an excuse on why my car was not serviced, why my car part was not in, why it needed another part, and each time, was assured I would be called with updates. And in 3 days, I got a rate service message, though it was not complete. I mentioned it to the agent, and he said he would look into that as well It is 1/9 and the agent said the final part was not in as yet and would likely be in tomorrow(I had to call fir this update as well) And when I look at the Honda update, it says I have no car being serviced. Though my car is still at the service center. I have tried to call and speak to the supervisor, left messages, but he does not seem to be available. Wish I had read the previous reviews before we headed over there yesterday. I was ready to buy the 2024 white Honda CR-V EX before the new year. I saw the price on the email for $30k and change the day before. Yesterday when we arrived, a new email's price became $31k+. The salesman Roger let us test drive the car and a couple of different ones, then he offered the price for the first round of negotiation at $34k+ MSRP. We were surprised that it was different from their email and I showed him. He ignored it. Roger also said that he was giving us $4k discount but there was a Lojack subscription along with the prime plated which totaled at $1398, so it was actually about $2600 discounts which should have lowered the price to below $30k except they raised the MSRP after we test drove the car. As we were close to 6 pm, Roger said he would give us a walk away number. We never expected him to be literal. He came back with an even higher number saying that the manager declined the trade in price at $5k, so with the alleged $4k discounts, and the 2 subscriptions we didn't want, the total price came around $29k+ after trade in. It is the number with no discounts at all and after trade in from the price listed in the shop but not as advertised. We felt completely fooled and 3 hours totally wasted. Roger left the number on the desk and said goodbye. We were very shocked. It's ok if he knew we would not like the price, and if he had to get off work. It's just really rude to walk away so abruptly. I thought it was our walk away number, not his. Even if we don't like the price, we were still considering a pre-owned car and he knew it. Predatory lending at its finest Thursday 7/14/22 I purchase a vehicle listed online for $26,000. After the typical back and forth "sign here for these payments" haggling stuff. The final price with tax title and license was a little over $28,000. My trade-in was upside down adding $4,000 to the finance total. Added another $5,600 for vehicle dealer service. Wrote them a check for $9,000 as a down payment. Somehow still ended up financing $40,000 The necessity of time played a role as this occurred about 3 hours after knee surgery, I was unaccompanied, took an Uber to the dealership, and still very affected by medication. I was even walking without crutches and no pain. After the meds wore off the following day I was incredibly sore and unable to walk, and needed time to recover. Not obvious to me at the time but the medication had much more affect then I realized. Having a moment two days later to review the paperwork I became more aware of the situation. After speaking to both the salesman and finance rep this afternoon (Saturday 7/16/22) it became crystal clear neither will do anything to remedy the situation other than try to explain the numbers into oblivion and why it makes sense. I'm no Albert Einstein, but there's simply no way to make this math work. This was nothing more than a deceitful company taking advantage in a persons temporarily compromised cognitive capacity. They sell cars so feel free to do business here if you wish, just be absolutely prepared for someone with a smile to try and rob you blind. If i could rate this dealership lower than 1 star I would. I was promised a free transmission service when I bought the car as it was almost 30,000 miles overdue. And after contacting my salesperson Alex less than a month from date of purchase, I received no response. I spoke with the manager Derrick and he said he didn't recall when he was there in agreement on a service. I came in today to get my car serviced and spoke to Derrick as Alex was not there and he went back on his word. I also let him know that my car did not come with a jack on a certified pre owned car. He replaced it and when I gave him "attitude" he removed it from my car. I asked for his boss and his response was "I am the boss". Hope the real owner can handle this in a more appropriate, mature, and respectful manner. Horrible manager, inexperienced salesman, and overall horrible customer service. Oh, man, where to start? First, we bought a used van from this dealership. The finance bit was such a joke. The sales rep kept doing the running back-and-forth thing after I told him the numbers I expected. He left and came back about 4 or 5 times. Each time, I held my ground and said, "I'm not signing that." I told him I know my credit score from all 3 bureaus and my FICO score, there's no way I'm paying over $500 on a $16K used vehicle so he can go talk to who he needs to b/c I'm not paying more than $350/mo and we're not dragging these payments out forever either. Got to the finance guy- was able to get payments plus an extended warranty for less than my max monthly price. Playing games like we're living in the 90's... After signing, I was told the van was being taken to the back to be detailed, so we waited. After taking possession of the vehicle, it took a few days to notice that the van was filthy! There was gunk on part of the stick shift that isn't visible at the driver's angle, the beige seatbelts (all 8 of them) were tinged with dirt, I found a oddly large quantity of toothpicks in the sunglasses holder, an opened (and presumably spat out) peppermint in the center console, dirt caked around the edges of practically everything and to top it off, a horrendous smell began coming out of the carpets. I'm assuming the deodorizer spray had worn off. I am convinced these carpets were never cleaned, especially after seeing all the dirt that came out when I washed them. In addition, I started hearing noises while driving that would get worse as I was coasting down a hill. I had a buddy of mine's mechanic brother take a look and it turns out, THEY DIDN'T SCREW THE WHEELS BACK ON!!! The noise was getting progressively worse because the lug nuts were so loose, the wheels were close to coming off. Can you imagine if I were on the highway when that happened? If my van hit a family or injured mine??!?! My husband called and gave him a piece of his mind. They offered something ridiculous like a free oil change and their apologies. I have a repair that needs to be done under the warranty but I'm afraid to bring it back. I received crappy service, finance runaround, a poor job with cleaning and maintenance safety issues. When I questioned him he said they were backed up at 7:40 in the morning. This is the second time this has happened. Why do you let people make an appointment and then waste our time?!?! Sad that I have to write this about a new dealership but here we are. We visited this dealership twice. The sales people are nice but they know their managers and finance people are shady because they make their reps play the run back and forth game. In this day and age you'd think we'd be past that. Apparently not when you visit this dealership. The dealer "add on's" that are not disclosed on the website will take your price up anywhere from $1k - $2k+. Then they lie about where they submit approvals to. Brought a first time buyer in and tried to help him negotiate. Even with 25% down they still wanted to jerk him around. They said they submitted approvals to multiple banks but credit report shows they did not. Their offer of 18.49% was a joke when we went to real dealership and got him less than 1/3 of that rate through HONDA themselves. Really sad that such a nice new facility with sales reps who seem to want to provide a good experience are run by a team of managers and finance people who do not want to do the best by the customer. SCAMMERS Stay Away! Purchased a 2020 Toyota Sequoia with low mileage! My husband picked up and said it was spotless! Got it home and it was making a terrible noise. Took it to the Toyota dealership in Louisiana where I live to find out the catalytic convertors ( Sequoia's have four) were replace with aftermarket parts but only 2 were replaced so two were missing. Called the dealership and Mr. Patel said oh it passed Texas inspection which i don't believe and I contacted AG office. I had to spend $2500 to replace the other two CC and now the check engine light comes on and off. Just picked it up from the Toyota dealership and the fee was $185 to get the check engine light off. It is with big disappointment that I have to share this review. I had called about a VW Pink Beetle as early as 11AM and had been talking with Tim (a very kind and sweet person). He had me on video to look at this car and right then I said I'd buy it, no hesitation. I was sent the iPacket and "pencil numbers" and talked about warranty and all. Financing was already secured for a different vehicle, all that had to be done was switch VINs on the loan document. While my husband was on the phone with the bank, Tim lets me know that the keys were taken from him by the manager for a test drive for someone else. I immediately put in an application for financing through the dealership and kept Tim in the loop the entire time to try and get the keys back. While someone else was on a test drive, the application was in and supposedly pushed and of course approved. At approximately 3:30PM I get a call from the business office at Grapevine Honda, the 2017 VW #PinkBeetle was sold, claiming they went under contract before me with the nerve to ask if I had another car in mind. What an underhanded and dirty business that was. No integrity and no honor within that dealership and especially the manager to do that. I later sent a message to Tim wishing him luck there, her is a young and happy guy that has no business amongst a disgusting way of doing business. Finance guy distracted me during paperwork not advising me he put a $3,000 dollar extended warranty and a $500 life time oil change that can only be used at their dealership only, and only use 2-3 times per year. Get this, had first oil change at Denton Honda and it was free and is to all 2023 Honda Civics for the first 5 oil changes. Service dept at Honda Grapevine is horrible service. Overall an unpleasant and costly experience. Cost me $3,500 extra for nothing. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HONDA DEALERSHIP or any of their affiliated dealerships(Lithia) they will be every nice with you when they are selling you the car and talk loads of bull crap about what they cover under their "maintenance plan"... I was told by the rep when I leased the car everything should be covers maintenance wise I.e cabin filters oils changes(well I paid for the oils plan so that's fine), breaks, tires etc for the next 3 years... but guess what turned out all bull crap... nothing is covered but the oil change which I paid 800 for (lithia lifetime oil) technically is a SCAMMERSHIP MORE THAN A DEALERSHIP. When I called the sales manages about this issue today rather than being helpful he was being rude and didn't even try to help me out or anything and he was looking a wrong file and wrong car and who persons profile and and kept on stating I didn't buy any Honda plans later turned out I did but a Honda plan but once again it did not cover what was claimed during pre-selling the car. Once you get the car sign the papers work it's all bye bye don't know who you are any more. I even got 2 friends to purchase from them and regret getting them stuck with these scammers. Anyways lesson learned if the deal is too good to be true then it's not true. And guess what my window decay sticks says wheel locks included but no wheel locks on the car lol. If y'all don't want to get scammed I would suggest go somewhere else maybe try McDavids Honda or Lute Riley Honda anywhere else but here. read more

If you want to deal with a service department that does NOT value your time, then by all means choose Grapevine Honda! You can schedule an appointment all you want, they will overbook and the only one it hurts is the clients. 20 minute job was told it would take an hour and a half just to get checked in and assigned to a tech on top of doing the scheduled work, and getting it back to the me approximately 3 hours. I don't think so! I value my time more than that, and will not deal with a dealer that will intentionally overbook based on available techs and leave the customer waiting. When questioned about this practice I was told, "well a doctor appointment works the same way". The difference, I may need to see my doctor, but I don't have to use Grapevine Honda! read more

I wish I read the reviews before coming here. Two really bad experiences (one for service, one for sales). Service - I had a flat tire at night and had to get it towed to the dealership. Went there next morning around 745ish. Told them the situation and they said no problem we should have it fixed by end of day. I said great. They called an uber for me and I went home. Usually they will call with a quote and all within a few hours. 4 hours pass don't hear a word. I call them up and was told the service person is taking care of another customer they will call you back. Never got a call back. 6 hours pass still no answer. I finally get a quote from them at 3pm. They said everything was in stock except the spare tire and I asked if I could just get all this done now and then I can get the spare tire another time they said sure no problem. I approve the changes. It's 6pm and they are about to close their service, I ask them if the car will be ready and they said unfortunately not but it will be ready tomorrow by 12. Next day it's 1130 and no answer. I called and now they say the part isn't in and we need a special technician to install it and he won't be there until Monday morning. So why did you tell me the car was going to be done today? They said sorry you're going to have to follow up monday. I call monday morning, car won't be ready until afternoon the technician hasn't arrived. 4pm I get a text saying my car is ready so I ask them to get me an uber which they did. I finally got my car at 630pm. No apology nothing. Sales - While waiting for my car Monday I thought why not see what kind of deal I can get for a new Honda. They set me up with Roger and I test drove an Accord. I told them can you run me numbers with my trade in (the 2014 Honda with the flat tire repaired) for the car. He took the keys for my 2014 and did the valuation. He came up and me said, dude do you know how much you can get for that car guess, i told them maybe 8-9K. He said you can get $18K trade in for this vehicle. I said are you sure it's a 2014 with over 100K miles. He said yes. I said okay send me a quote for that accord we test drove and the hybrid. I go next day to test drive and hybrid. I am sold on it. I told Roger lets make a deal. We go back and forth and agree to a deal. At this point i spent nearly 2 and a half hours at the dealership. He then comes back and asks me, can you give me the keys to your 2018 Honda? I said what you are talking about I only own a 2014. He said I am sorry I valuated the wrong car. HOW DO YOU VALUATE THE WRONG CAR?! I literally gave you the keys. So I said will you honor the deal and he said no because your trade in is worth less than what I quoted you. He started getting very defensive and then basically said you can leave if you want. He was laughing along with the managers in the back. One of the managers came up to me and asked if everything was okay and I told them the situation. He was also being defensive and saying these things happen it was a mistake and he'll see what he can do about price. 10 minutes later he tells me the best he can do is 10K higher than what I was quoted. I told him no thanks have a good day and walked out. The general manager comes up to me, I tell him the situation and he too says the same thing about how mistakes happen. He gives me a quote that is about 5K less then what his other manager offered. He said no rush, feel free to think about it. I left after that. Ended up getting a new accord from another dealership. I know this location is convenient for those around the area but do yourself a favor and take your Honda somewhere else even if it's a further drive. You will have peace of mind. Never setting foot in this dealership again. read more
