Bought the extras from finance and refinanced the vehicles later. Cancelled the warranties and gap in April!! Received the warranty money within a couple of weeks. The gap money is a different story. Warranty money gets sent direct from the company to the customer, but gap money gets sent back to the dealership. I have contacted the gap company and they said they sent it back to the dealership in April. I have tried multiple times to speak with them with NO results!! They don't mind taking your money but sure don't want to return what is not theirs. I will be posting reviews on ALL social media outlets weekly until someone from this dealership (with some authority) contacts me to get this rectified. This business is a classic example of why car salesmen get a bad name. Go to the other Japanese car dealership in Grapevine, and you'll ask yourself why this one has very few clientele hanging around on a Saturday afternoon. The agent assigned to us was miffed about a late show-up, and called us rude for not giving him enough time plus a lecture on how buying a car is not the same as buying a t-shirt - this standing in 102F in the parking lot. Well done. Not only did you lose one customer, you'll lose many more based on Yelp reviews. Speaking with the experience of someone working in a customer-facing role, refusing to provide information about merchandise, and calling them names shows you'll never make it in Sales. As a customer of 20 years this dealership does not care about its customers. I received Honda coupons from this dealer in Grapevine I am getting multiple things done and they prefer me to come back to use coupons. The manager white guy wear glasses were so rude didn't even want to put a battery in my key remote. He stayed its not working he was not helpful at all. I made an app for service two weeks in advance for Monday at 7.30 am, I got there and the service advisor told me that the service shop was back up and the app I made was just to talk to him. Really .... He told me it would take several day to get to my recall. What is the purpose of making an appointment? I got frustrated left went to Norm Reeves Honda they said it would take a couple hours to fix and I could pick it up then . Which I did. Grapevine Honda is not a well managed dealership, it is obvious when your interact with them the need a lot of training and experience. This is a joke! We left with my grand daughter in tears! We drove the car, were real excited about buying it, did an honest handshake on a price, after about 3hours out there yesterday. We were about ready to pay cash for a 2023 Honda Accord when "Ron" I guess who makes all the decisions up there said sorry we have already sold this car and we won't get another in until maybe November.... I was stunned to say the least! I guess the salesman who had gone to him for approval on the deal twice... really meant NOTHING! I bought my car last year. I was over charged. they added cost to my sale. The asking price was $13,000 somehow when signing the paperwork at 1:00AM I ended up buying it for $19,000. I was told it was for a service that I could have my car cleaned or if I had any chips in my window or paint it would get fixed for the extra price. I turned in all my requests to have this done. NEVER heard anything- the warranty ran out and somehow I'm still paying for that. My family called the dealership before heading to buy the car because we are in Missouri and it was in Texas. When we arrived they tried to sale us a different car knowing we drove 10 hours to get this particular car. Then told us they couldn't find us financing. We started to drive away to find a hotel since it was midnight and they come running out said they found us financing so we stayed to do paperwork after driving 10 hours and being exhausted. Let me preface my review with I am veteran who was honorably discharged for injuries sustained and I believe in integrity and I will search high and low for good people in life. but I also have to be willing to be one as well! My experience with many dealerships has not been good! I would rather not be unkind and leave unnecessarily negative reviews but... So I called Grapevine Honda a few days ago and inquired about a used Honda Ridgeline, 2020 to be specific, and I spoke with a salesman named "Faine" (I am unsure of the spelling). I explained my interest in the vehicle and he suggested I leave a deposit which I was not going to do until my questions has some reasonable answers. He told me he was going to speak with a manager and get back to me. He never did. Big surprise, right? So I called the dealership and they provided me his cell number. I called him, and he said, "Oh yeah, I spoke with someone about this and it's too complicated..." And bla bla bla. Complicated? I want to purchase a vehicle, I have excellent credit and I wanted it shipped to me. Ridiculous! It was impossible to get a sales manager in the phone. These people want to make easy money with less effort, clearly and it's rather unsavory! So I spoke with another sales person named "April". She said gave me the run around too and said she'd call back. She said some has a credit app on the vehicle and that the vehicle will be picked up in a day or two... A "credit app" is not a sale, it's an application for credit!! I don't like BS, not at all!! So I called her back and asked her about this to which she said she was with a client. What sales person works with a client immediately in front of them and rudely picks up a call? Perhaps one that wants to make another sale, or it was just a blatant lie so as to avoid having to answer questions honestly and with accountability?!! Potential buyers beware of this dealership! Read all of the relevant reviews and do not buy into all of the positive ones! Also read the Yelp reviews and check the Better Business Bureau for claims against this dealership, and other dealerships, to see if this a business worthy of your time and money Also, be willing to use your voices by posting your honest reviews about your experiences. WHATEVER YOU DO STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS. I bought an 2018 F-150 that pretty had no issues and the carfax look great. I live in Lubbock and was having it shipped. This was going to be my first vehicle purchase ever until I woke up and found from an email of the inspection that they wanted to charge me an extra 12k for Catalytic Converter and Transmission Replacement. Mind you the truck was 30k. So imagine adding 12k to that? THATS A WHOLE NEW TRUCK OF THE LATEST YEAR. Instead of taking fault for the false advertisment of the vehicle in which they shared to Driveway they basically gave me the middle finger to want me to deal with it. Luckily Driveway(Sight I found the Truck) are giving me a full refund and when the driver delivering the truck arrives I have to tell him no. Which I'm so upset about because it was a really nice truck, but I almost fell for false advertisement. Currently I'm seeing if they can be sued for these practices, but to future buyers STAY FAR AWAY PLEASE! read more

We had visited with Gus Hernandez a few weeks ago and told him exactly what we wanted and he watched the deliveries and called us as soon as one arrived. His service, low key approach and attentiveness was outstanding. I love the new CRV Sport Hybrid we got. Was excited to see this dealership had a number of the make/model/trim pilot I was looking for at a price I was willing to pay. Long story short; the internet prices are all a marketing ploy to bring you in the door expect the price to be anywhere from $4000-6000 higher than the internet price before they try to sell add ones like warranty and gap insurance. This is shady sales tactics. We went back and forth for a few days then they called to tell me to check the website. I checked and sure enough the price had been raised to $500 under what they were telling me the price is. After less than 24 hours I returned to the site and the price of the car was back down to a price they again informed me was to bring customers in the door. No the dealer specials; they continued to show me paperwork for interest rates 2-3 times what I'd be qualified for and not what were included in the dealer specials. This was the worst car shopping experience of my life. It felt predatory and dishonest. When asked why they followed this model I was told because all the dealerships are doing it. Back to basics like we teach our children; just because others are doing it doesn't make it right for you. Be honest and true to yourself as a company and your customers. Don't bother with your time or theirs. The cars are plentiful on the lot because they are priced differently online than when you show up to purchase. read more

My wife and I took a day off work to go look at every brand of 3rd row SUV to find one that would work best for our family. We had questions and wanted to see what each had to offer. We came to Grapevine Honda TWICE that day. The first time we pulled up on the lot and waited for someone to approach us. When no one did, we went inside to see if someone could show us a Pilot. The receptionist said she was new and didn't know what a Pilot is. There was one on the showroom so I ask if we could look at it and check out some of the things we were curios about. We spent at least 15 minutes looking and checking out the features. Not a single person ask if we needed help or even spoke to us (except the receptionist). We went to numerous other dealerships (and were treated well and helped out at each one) and then decided we wanted to see if the Odyssey offered the set up we need for 3rd row/car seat issues. Same scenario as before. No one spoke, no one approached, no one even acknowledged we were there. It wasn't because no one was available either, we were the only customers I saw in sales. Salespeople 5 Stars: Caden Morgan & Mayur were top notch. Settled on a price fairly quickly and they contributed to deciding which Ridgeline would be best. ALL of their cars have a $2,800 appearance package, which is not optional. You won't find this on the website. So, understand that the MSRP you see doesn't include it. Not a problem if you know they have built it in for dealer profit and negotiate down from there. Dealership Appearance 5 Stars: Clean, bright, new and has a good atmosphere. It's a newer dealership, so you would expect it. Finance 1 Star (generous): Dealt with John Pomroy. Friendly and your best friend... until you question the over $3,000 in add on coverages. I have purchased over 10 new cars and had 6 new leases. Most recently I was in and out of the Mercedes Dealership in less than 90 minutes and they had full transparency in every area. This however was the absolute worse finance experience I have ever had. I run an insurance company and pride myself in knowing the numbers. John however was a master at the "slight of hand" with the numbers. And, if you questioned where they came from it was "hidden incentives offset that", "you just don't understand how it works", etc. There was some masterful misdirection and belittling and shaming techniques to get you to feel like an idiot for just asking. My wife was thoroughly upset and sat through it all. I don't need to get into all the details, but in the end he had built in well over $150 per month of extra's (Lo Jack, Permaplate, windshield protection, etc.), stating it was only going to cost me $21 per month. Many of these items were supposed to be included in the Appearance Package but were not. Lo Jack, Permaplate were only a year with the package he said... I needed to buy the extra years of coverage.??? It got so bad that when he got caught in his lies the finance manager had to come in to clean it up. When we came out, the sales guys knew what happened, and were embarrassed. John is very slick... and my guess is that very few people ever challenge him. There is no doubt the dealership is well aware of it all, but in this climate of having less cars to sell they see the opportunity to build in a ton of extra profit. We like the car and they detailed it well for us. My wife unfortunately has a sour taste for Honda and said its the last one we buy because of this. I hope that's not true because I like their cars... but I understand. I realize someone will follow up this review with a "sorry about your experience" response. But, they can save it unless they go back and review the recording of the finance transaction and say "John is fired". That isn't going to happen though. I literally had to shower after getting back just to wash away the negative and get my positive energy back... whew. read more
