I contacted Graphic Lab on Tuesday at 1am for an estimate, because I desperately needed to print 2 large posters for a research conference THE NEXT DAY. I had originally checked a number of printing places, but none would print posters this large (48x56) and especially not for the same day. So when I finally came across Graphic Lab in a late-night google search, I used the online system to get a quote. Carmine replied to me at 7:30am with a price! And then the poor man so kindly put up with my incessant emails as I tried to figure out the best size/price for the posters I needed. He was so attentive and readily answered all my questions. Six quotes and multiple questions (re: pick-up, payment, etc) later, I finally emailed him my posters, requesting that he contact me when they were ready. He emailed me back in 2.5 hours!!! Amazing!!! Sadly, one of my co-workers picked up our poster so I didn't get to meet him, but what a gem! He saved our butts by getting those posters ready just in time! So a special note to all NYC students and doctors presenting at conferences like myself: use Graphic Lab(!!!), especially when you're running behind on your edits and need it done quick! read more

This seemingly small venue was very helpful and efficient. You can reach them via telephone, e-mail, or fax and they work quickly. My friend is in Africa he e-mailed his portfolio with some directions and Bob delivered. I picked the package up but, I'm sure they would have you project messengered. The price is reasonable more so than if you went to Kinkos and D.I.Y I'd recommend stundents & professionals putting together a portfolio to check them out! read more

I live and work in Chicago and was working on a set of brochures to be printed and sent to New York for a two day event. My printer here in Chicago had given me the run-around and was not getting back to me on a regular basis until it was too late. I called Carmine at Graphic Lab the day of the event in hopes he could have everything printed and delivered that day. Due to a response issue on my end I wasn't able to get the forms in that day and by the time I had any info for him the first day of the event was over, my fault entirely. But Carmine was EXTREMELY patient with me as I had to call back a number of times with questions and information for him. So mad props to him for that. I called him the next day at 6:00am Chicago time/7:00am New York time, and he was there expecting my call from the email I sent the night before. He was able to print and deliver my brochures right away and have them delivered. He also was still wonderfully patient with me attempting to get him in contact with the event coordinator. He went above and beyond trying to get a hold of her. The brochures were delivered and I was told by the event staff they turned out beautifully. Any negative reviews on yelp seem to have been the fault of the consumer and were incredibly harsh on their rating. I wasn't even physically able to see them and they showcased some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Carmine and Graphic Lab were an absolute pleasure to work with and I will most definitely be using the again if the opportunity arises. read more

Carmine is AMAZING! I had a very important interview and encountered issues with printing my resume at home. while panicking and trying to make my 8 am an interview, I called Graphic Lab Printing on my way to the train station after randomly finding them online and emailed my resume for printing. By the time I arrived, Carmine had my resume printed out and offered a folder although I already had a portfolio. In addition, he REFUSED to charge me! I went to graphics lab to get some embroidery done for a wedding present for my friend. I spent 120 dollars on embroidery that came out wrong!!!! Different text then I had sent in. All that they could say was that taking out the embroidery might destroy the fabric. This place is a complete rip off! read more

Rich is the rudest and most careless salesperson that I have met in NYC over 30 years. We have done three big orders in the past few months with Graphic Lab and I am currently looking elsewhere. They did not tell me they have their own colors (not pantone) until I had made the trip there, which I accepted. They then printed with the wrong color - the correct color to use was printed on their work order - which I also accepted. The list goes on. I am a patient person and do not expect perfection, but the rudeness is bizarre and the last straw. read more

Had a similar experience as a couple other people with their ridiculous salesman. I walked into their office and got a slightly weird vibe from the receptionist, a sort of "why are you here?" feeling. She passed me off to the salesman, who cranked that vibe up to 11. Well, here's why I'm here, doofus: I need something printed and this is a print shop. I had a few PDF files on a thumb drive that I wanted printed on 8.5x11 paperboard that I had brought in (not a crazy ask) and I asked him if there was a printing method that might turn out better than the sample I had brought in for him to look at. He asked me how the sample was printed and I said I wasn't sure since the print office at my job had printed it for me. He got a bit huffy, and said "how am I supposed to know if our printer will work better than theirs?" I explained I just wanted to know if his print shop had a printer/ink that could produce more vibrant color and/or a slightly more substantial looking ink than the sample that I had brought in. I assumed they had a couple different types of printers, at least inkjet and laser. He looked at me like I was insane. So I said, "do you have more than one kind of printer? Maybe inkjet or laser or some other method?" And he just said "No." He then said it was going to cost $40 to print FIVE SHEETS of paper, so I said, can you print just one? He printed two (no idea why), then came out and told me it was $16 and asked if I was going print all 5. I said no, that's a ridiculous price, took out my credit card to pay for the two, and he said "You know what, forget it. It's on the house." and walked away. Really strange, bizarre, uncomfortable experience. If you go to this printer, DO NOT go in person. read more

My printer at home broke down and my portfolio is due on Monday, I called then at 1 and got there at around 4. These people were amazing. They told me I can't get it done in 1 day but seeing my worried face and my almost begging desperate state they did a rush job for me all in under an hour. Not only that but my files were saved wrong and they took about 20 mins helping me fix it. I thank them so much. Their trim job was accurate too. Anyways super super recommend. I had a last minute brainstorm for an imprint on a T-shirt I had bought. I found Graphic Lab through Yelp , called the main number and spoke with Chris. It was Thursday. Although the job was simple and one off ,Chris said " ready by the following Tuesday ". When I described my predicament and asked that it be done by the next day ( Friday ) , he said be here in an hour . I rushed in , had him present a design in 5 minutes ! , came back 20 minutes later and had their beautiful work in hand. As a costume designer, I frequently find myself in need of printing services, often with a very fast turnaround. I first discovered Graphic Lab a few years ago, when I had an "emergency" tee shirt printing project for a TV shoot and realized that my go-to tee shirt printer had moved outside of the city and could no longer print a shirt and have it ready for me to pick up the next day. He was incredibly quick and responsive via email with all the details and had a proof ready to go that same Tuesday afternoon. Overall, I was incredibly satisfied with the speed of service and price, and also thought it was a job well done. Regarding other's complaints about customer service - I understand what they're saying and see how the service might rub some people the wrong way... but the way I see it is that the communication was short and direct but got the job done correctly, so I didn't mind it at all. I had a great experience using Graphic Lab just a few days before Christmas. I had bought a t-shirt that I wanted to get customized with some lettering for a friend. I was seeing that friend that evening and needed to have the shirt customized within hours. I checked out a few places that I found online that I thought might be able to help, but each of them had a service level agreement of at least a few days. I called Graphic Lab and they told me I could have the customization done that afternoon. Rich helped me choose the font, colors and placement of the text. From start to finish it was done within an hour or so. It was amazing! The price was extremely reasonable too. I highly recommend using Graphic Lab. Called on a Friday morning to get a quote, had my proof delivered to my door not two hours later. Fast, efficient and friendly. I worked with CJ and he knew we were on a tight deadline and made sure to follow up with me several times over the process to ensure that we got everything in time, even over a holiday weekend. The convenience of their delivering things to us is also a huge plus. We printed several thousand cards for handouts and they are beautiful quality. Color is saturated and even, paper quality is great, overall very impressive. I will never ever ever use FedEx office again. This place did the job for 1/3rd of the price I was quoted by FedEx and the quality is miles ahead, not to mention that you're treated like an actual human being and a customer at Graphic Labs instead of the attitude you normally find at the fedex offices around here. I'm in Atlanta and sent a crew to install event decor at a venue near Graphic Lab. Somehow on the way to NY, a graphic I had printed locally was damaged. We discovered the damage around 8:30am the day of the event. I called Graphic Lab and spoke with Carmine, who was very helpful and understood the sense of urgency. We worked together via email and phone, and he had the graphic printed and delivered to the venue by noon. I needed a fashion design portfolio printed (about seventeen 11x14 pages) and wanted something more quality than Staples or FedEx Office. I went on a Friday evening around 6pm. I didn't actually need my print-outs until the following week and was prepared to have to come back to pick them up but Rich asked if I wanted to wait and get them right away. They had a really nice selection of quality papers, including environmentally friendly recycled. I only had to wait about 10 minutes and the quality of the prints came out terrific. Fast turnaround! I had my shirts embroidered within 4 days, including digitizing the logo. Great prices, too. This is one of the few places that will embroider small quantities. Good customer service - Rich was terrific. UPDTATE: just picked up my second small order from Graphic Lab and once again I am delighted with the quality, price, and customer service, especially considering that it was another small order of only five shirts at only $11 per shirt for a text logo in our non-standard font that they had already digitized with the previous order. I am going to stick with them for all my future custom embroidery - much cheaper than online vendor I was previously using, better customer service, I can provide my own shirts, and they are very flexible with small organization. Very, very nasty, unprofessional and mean unnecessarily​. Perhaps they do good work, but the energy was so dark and negative I don't want to ever go back in there. However, this is why I love New York City, there is always a bigger, better business, with better rates right next door, or down the street.
