So good we made reservations for the following Saturday. Great atmosphere inside and outdoor. Our server was Mary and she was friendly and polite. The food was well prepared and made from excellent quality foods. We ordered a bottle of wine that we normally pay about $26.00 for. We paid $55.00 which is right in par for what other restaurants mark up the wine. Our pasta dishes were about $25.00 each. We're bread snobs and the bread was delicious. We visited as a party of 4 for dinner with a 5:45pm reservation. It was our second time visiting; the first time was a year ago and the dinner was average, but this time of year is busy, so we accepted what we could get. We are a group that hardly gets time to go out together and away from our busy schedules, so we really cherish the time and hope to enjoy a good meal together. A few things were off or immediately disappointing: 1) They were sold out of branzino. Their seafood menu offered 3 choices, and one was immediately out. We didn't want the stew, so our party ordered the jumbo shrimp instead, 2) The jumbo shrimp were not jumbo. They were large at best, and tasted rubbery, or coated with something starchy. One member of our party came home very sick and we suspect it's because the shrimp was prepared with gluten containing products and it wasn't disclosed. 3) The server repeatedly brought over orders of dirty martinis that were in fact not dirty (we had to request separate olive juice, twice), 4) There were no specials?? This will be the last time we visit but I hope this review provides the motivation for management to improve service and food at an otherwise fine establishment. read more

Grappino is an unexpected delight. When you walk in you have a choice -- choose going right, to the bar seating area. Comfy and classy, it it bright and welcoming. I would have liked some jazz instead of the pop music but other than that, we loved it. Try the zucchini tower to start or bruschetta with a mixture of gorgonzola, bacon, pistachios and peppers. Their menu is a melange of upscale items to pick and choose-- from pastas to platters. We will be back. read more

Let's start with the good! Natasha our waitress was excellent‼She gets 5 stars. First time we were there. Ate outside. Lovely . Ambiance. Could use more bushes though to hide the parking lot, but quiet and nice. Food was delicious, however one problem though, we had a starter and I was only 3/4 the way through my starter when our main dish came and he set it down next to me. Didn't offer to cover it so it was slightly cold when I started to eat it. Natasha asked how everything was and we said great but the problem I stated above. Natasha apologized for the man and said she would have something special for us at the end. Truly it wasn't necessary just thought they might like to know. She brought us a complimentary tiramisu for desert which was divine. After we went into the bakery and looked around and took home yummy things. Inside was lovely too. Love grappino, it's always very consistent food wise . The ambiance is nice. We sat at the bar and they recently have new staff, it was more difficult to get proper service than usual. The new staff was not properly trained on the cocktails, they were good but were unaware of some of their specialties. I enjoy going here on occasion with my wife, but it wasn't as enjoyable. The food is wonderful at Grappino, great pastas and sauces to pick from. We've been there several times over the years. But the service can be spotty for a party of 2, primarily after the food comes. The staff is busy with the larger parties. I would suggest that a manager check around the smaller tables to see if any thing else is needed. Three stars gained mostly for the service of our server. We recently came here because of the reviews. Unfortunately, we left disappointed. So like many of my reviews, I'll start with the positives. As mentioned our server was excellent. She knew the menu well and made some nice recommendations. While this place is alittle on the pricier side of italian-esque restaurants, elements like the infused grappa stand make it stand out alittle more. Now, onto the food. Pizza was excellent. There are a variety to choose from. Again, on the pricier side. A pizza to feed 2-4 people is about $40. Pasta was a different story. We came in alittle later so it was easy to see that they rushed the pasta. Of the two, one was super chewy and the other would compare to cardboard strips. When we told our server, she went brought the dishes back to the kitchen to be re-made. Then returned after the chef informed her that they were both cooked to the right temperature. Now this isn't a meat dish. It's pasta. What kind of a chef with even limited "culinary smarts" would make such a statement??? Instead of re-making the plates, the chef instead nuked the dishes. Now they were really inedible. If not for the disrespect of the chef, we would have returned. But as it stands, there are MUCH better places to choose from. I looked on line about restaurant average wait times (20 minutes from ordering) so Grappino is 3 times that amount of time. Manager was gruff and completely unapologetic about the long service wait. The manager has many issues, especially anger issues. I was there as part of a Naples happy hour group and saw him speaking in an angry tone to one of our group, then he told me I wasn't allowed to stand at the end of a hightop and visit with friends. He made another couple leave the inside area and sit outside. I was told by other members of our group when the couple sat down outside as he insisted they were then told that outside seating was not part of happy hour. Again, according to other patrons when one of the couple said "forget it" and they started toward their car he followed them, berating them as they walked to the car and to the point another patron got out of his car to settle him down. read more

terrible guest service! we had a reservation for 15 people at 1pm for mother's day and waited 45 minutes! made the reservation 3 weeks in advance, but no table was ready! excuses galore, but with 4 small kids and moms in our group, it was awful! the hostess woman was grumpy. she gave us water while we waited in the hot naples, fl sun--bare minimum! offered coffee, but it never showed up! finally seated, they split our party! when i asked to arrange tables together, the hostess snapped and refused! we sat at separate tables, but the worst part? no italian food! they switched the menu last-minute from regular lunch to brunch--ridiculous! after we left, the hostess chased us down, offering to call other restaurants or make other arrangements. too late--just noise! we politely said we'd make other plans and left. we will never return and won't recommend this place to anyone!! read more

If you go for lunch 11:30-3:00, be sure to ask for lunch special menu. It is wonderful and includes wine or even a non alcoholic drink. Ask for bread and if you get a cappuccino, it includes a small biscotti. Unfortunately they will try to not give you the lunch special menu, "forget" to bring bread, and forget to bring a small biscotti with your cappuccino. Every time I go to Grapinno I get more disappointed at the service and cheating me out of what I received on prior visits. I always tip 25%, but not anymore. Beware. read more

In one word - disappointing. The main dining room resembles a cafeteria and is totally soulless, while the Patio is more pleasant albeit basically facing a busy car park in in a commercial park. As to the food, while the quality of the ingredients are undoubtedly good (thanks to being part of the Aielli Group which owns Sea Salt and Dorona, both of which are excellent in their own right), the execution of them is at best uninspired and at worse simply tasteless. Our table of 4 all remarked the same with different dishes - lack of flavor, seasonings, bland sauces, even missing salt and pepper. Other issues such as way overcooked fresh pasta, doughy pizza, super bland seafood and a cardboard like ricotta and pistachio desert, are simply inexcusable. My family and I came here for the first time for dinner. Definitely make reservations in advance, we made one the day of and the only time available was 5pm. The inside of the restaurant is really cool, there are glass balloons hanging from the ceiling on on side. It's definitely a coastal/mediterranean feel. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The bread basket was really good with the olive oil. We got the beet salad and calamari as appetizers. The beets salad was yum and the calamari was alright, didn't have much flavor though on its own. What I liked about this restaurant is that all the noodles are home made fresh and you get to choose which kind of noodle you want and then which sauce. I did the torchioni with bolognese sauce, which was delicious! My mom got the wild mushroom risotto and my friend got the linguini primavera. The food was really good! The only thing negative I can say is that we definitely felt rushed at the end. We were catching up at the table and enjoying our meal and you could tell they were hurrying us out so they could sit their next reservation. Our waitress brought us the check, and then someone else came saying goodnight, and then another waiter brought us a bag and put our food in the bag. I would just like to tell you that I have enjoyed a cappuccino after seeing my doctor across the street while waiting for my ride home. The kindness and gracious attitude of everyone especially the bartender who I'd easily a barrista when it comes to preparing a divine cappuccino is truly appreciated. Last time I had to wait 2 hours for my ride before realizing that she was as unreliable as usual so I ordered an Uber, much more realizable I purchased a few desserts to take home but I enjoyed a crème brûlée with my cappuccino. Our waitress Gabby was super friendly and welcoming, especially with it being our first time here. She explained that the food is freshly cooked right as you order. I ordered the Polleto (roasted chicken) with their vodka sauce & Cavatelli pasta. It was the best pasta dish I've ever had, with no exaggeration. Everyone from my party rated their food 12/10.
