We arrived late on Thursday night and was prepared for the late check in by the friendly office staff. It was a breeze getting our key and getting settled in. There was a spot right in front of our cottage that was free parking! (I was afraid we weren't going to find a spot but there was plenty and soo close!!) First walking into the cottage it was a lot nicer and bigger than we expected. There is so much storage and room to put all of your belongings. They provide an ironing board and iron, vacuum, some dishes, coffee with condiments, towels, a safe, plenty of pillows, and soaps! The cottage was very clean! The front porch was so nice to spend our mornings and nights on! All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating! This cottage is in a perfect location and close to everything you want or need! We couldn't of asked for a better place to stay! Very close to CVS, laundry mat, scooter/bicycle rentals, coffee, Duval St and much much more! Also, the pool is a nice, quiet, relaxing area where clothing is optional! We would definitely recommend staying here when you go to Key West!

The office host was kind enough to let us check the room out before we booked it. The rooms are cool, clean, the bed was beyond comfortable (I'm actually still laying down haha) cute courtyard, friendly staff, parking, close to all the downtown Key West attractions but none of the noise! Lots of great little touches to the property as well, each of the guest houses run by the Key West Inns management has it's own personality. There are bikes available for rent right at the office too, so you don't have to try to track a rental down. Super big thank you to Andrea for being so accommodating, friendly and making great recommendations for the beach and restaurants. The icing on the already glorious cake is, the price!!! Completely reasonable and affordable. It is practically a steal. I'm certainly going to book this guesthouse again when I come back!

The screened in porch was nice, but the view of the parking lot was not quite Florida like. The front door locked, but didn't seal up all the way and felt like it had some wood rot going on. We used the oven to cook a frozen pizza and it stank up the place due to not being cleaned. Room air conditioners kick on and off all night making sleep difficult. For the money, I felt we could have done better. I didn't realize we were in the front row of a busy marina parking lot. After closing down, the marina was quiet and the porch was good. We got up early and sat at a nice bench to watch the sun rise and were glad we stopped to enjoy it.

Bathroom has been remodeled and is new. Kitchen comes with pretty much anything you'd need. No TV! (In my case a very good thing.) Not that there is fast wifi so bring a laptop for viewing. Manager and staff are charming and helpful, along with the three cats that are greeters. So sweet. There's a cute lobby and beautiful garden by the back to sit out and enjoy the evening. Looks like an oasis . Note that there is road noise. Yes there are lights on at night, yes you can hear people above you. It is an older building, charming and with large rooms. All that said it was perfect for us and I could easily stay here for weeks.

***Buyer Beware*** This hotel is a scam. They advertise…read morerooms with queen size beds that are clearly full size at best. I actually measured the bed and it was far smaller. On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.

We couldn't due to flights, work, and pet care already arranged. He then informed us he needed to cancel our final night due to "maintenance," but refused to explain what the maintenance was or consider rescheduling it. They did book us another hotel for the final night, which was nice, but it was about $100 less per night than what we originally paid, the room was much smaller and didn't have any of the amenities we had originally paid for-and we were not refunded the difference. We were required to check out at 11 AM (only extended to 1 PM after I asked twice), even though the new hotel's check-in wasn't until 3 PM. I had to arrange early check-in myself to avoid being stranded in Key West with luggage. We also had to pay for our own transportation and lost a large part of our afternoon packing and relocating. No apology or gesture of goodwill was offered. Further, despite being given a 1pm check out, the owner started calling me at 12:30pm asking if we were out yet, making us feel rushed and adding another layer of unhospitality to our experience. He THEN told me to be sure to leave a tip! Are you kidding? Additionally, the hand soap in the bathroom was watered down, and most concerning, the private pool deck -- one of the main reasons we booked -- was severely caving in and felt unsafe to walk on. I'm attaching photos of that. We were not informed of its condition before we booked. I've since requested a partial refund (50% of the final night) due to the inconvenience and price difference, but the owner has not responded to my emails or text.
