This was our first time at Gravity. We had passed by so many times and decided to give it a try. It was pretty slow for a Friday night but had great service. We sat at the bar and were greeted quickly with waters and each ordered a drink. My boyfriend and I shared the Drunken Swine pizza and the curry wings. Both were so incredibly good. The wings were worth coming back for alone. The restaurant is right north of downtown so parking at a garage around the corner is convenient and cheap. Killing time in the neighborhood, my husband and I popped in to grab a beer. We were pleasantly surprised by two things - the presence of one of our fave bar tenders from a previous establishment (RIP) and the beer! It was really good. Better than I thought it would be. We had the shishito peppers, fig and prosciutto pizza and the sticky wings. Ketty was our server and was very nice and helpful. Gravity is super close to my apartment and I love popping in for a visit! They're always putting on trivia nights, open mic nights, and more fun community events. One time my boyfriend and I dropped in during a coloring contest! We sat right down and got to work lol. The bartenders are always so attentive to everything you need and checking in frequently. First off - there's no parking dedicated to this place. There's usually paid parking at the building or on the street, but just a heads up. Then, I HATE the ordering system. I don't want to place my own orders and get charged for the convenience and then have to remember to close out my order for them to have the audacity of recommending a 25% tip. Especially when the service always pretty bad. It got better as we were there, but I think me getting up to go get my own napkins for the food might have triggered them to remember to serve us every 15-20 minutes. The blue cheese chips were very good! If I returned to this place I would get them again. The balsamic gave them a nice sweetness cut by the blue cheese and bacon. The Cuban pizza was interesting but I don't think I'd get it again. There seemed to be almost no cheese, but then the crust overwhelmed the meat. It tasted good, but the ratios were off. And while the blue cheese chips were very reasonable ($7), the pizza ($21) was pricey for the size and toppings amounts. I'd go back if someone else requested this place, but I wouldn't choose it myself. Just too complicated for the food that was good but not great. read more

While in Orlando we were looking to have some local craft beers and found this spot. It was walking distance from our hotel so it was a great spot for us. The staff was very friendly when we walked in, beertender offered us some drinks and food (we did not indulge in food but I love that they have the option!) We tried a few drinks including the Babe Brew, and the Sexual Manatee Sour. They have things on tap and in a can so the selection is diverse with a focus on local brews. Glad to see a new beer spot in town! Some friends and I went over the weekend for beers and dinner. The inside is a decent sized space with some outdoor seating. Staff was very friendly, their beer list was a lot of Florida beer which I appreciated and their food was delicious! I can't wait to see what kind of special events they do in the future whether it be weekly or monthly events, brewery spotlights, beer dinners, whatever! Hopefully they do something! Gravity was our first stop in Orlando as it's a 8 minute walk from Hilton Double Tree! Very close if you're staying in the area and very modern clean atmosphere. We sat on the patio And enjoyed the surrounding buildings, very quaint. Great selection of beer, I got two Arkane Aleworks beers and was NOT disappointed. A Pineapple Dole Whip Sour and a Pomegranate Cucumber-- I highly recommend! Pizza was phenomenal as well, we forgot to get pictures, but the field of greens and the fig and prosciutto pizza were to die for. It's napoleon style and wood fired so it had the nice char and bubbles on the crust. The Patio operates from QR code menu and online tab with food runners, but the bartender was very sweet when we asked to order through him! Single guitarist playing in restaurant. Brick oven baked gourmet pizzas. I enjoyed the Drunken Pig. It was delicious! Beer cheddar cheese added a depth to the pie, caramelized onions were cut small and not overwhelming. High quality sausage was not spicy, had great meaty flavor. Kids had Spicy Mama without the "peppers" LOL. The red sauce on it was fresh and very tomato-ey which the kids didn't notice and did not appreciate as they should have! It was wonderful. Welcome to Orlando, sweet gem of a taproom! We saw reviews and decided to try this new little joint. Their brew selection was amazing and covered in variety (even a great selection of quality NAs). We're usually all about the hazy IPA, but tried the frosted maple cookie cream ale and had our mind blown! No clue how such deliciousness was packed into a beverage. They even had cans and crowlers to go. Each server was friendly and both co-owners introduced themselves and were eager for feedback, it was clear their heart is in creating a quality experience for everyone. We had the kiddos with us and tried a variety of the food, which is usually an afterthought in brewery kitchen - not at Gravity! Their cheese dip was phenomenal and the chili umami wings were so delicious that our daughters stole the last two from us! We'll definitely be back to visit again. This is a great new place to north downtown Orlando with tons of potential as well. They had 20 craft beers on tap, with several other canned craft beer, seltzer, and canned cocktails available. They also have a small kitchen with surprisingly good food. We had the "bonfire peppers", which are shishito peppers with a zesty sauce, and a drunken pig pizza which was good as well. Right next to Reyes Mezcaleria, this is a great addition to the area. They do have TVs playing chivetv/extreme sports so I assume they don't want to position themselves as a sports bar, but this place would be awesome and packed all afternoon if they turned Sunday afternoons into a football day. We decided to give this place a try for a later in the day team lunch (1:30pm) being that we've been to the places around it and they have all been fantastic. The place was practically dead - 2-3 patrons at the bar, 2 sitting together at a table on their laptops. We were a group of 8. To start we were brought 1 bottle of water that could fill 4 of the 8 water cups. She did not offer to pour the water and the bottle was not designed to pour from but to be drank from. We gave the server our orders and asked for more water and 2 sodas. We were on one check so we did not use the online ordering system. It took the server/bartender 10 minutes to come back with the drinks and that was after several attempts to catch her eye including raising a hand while she was facing our direction while she wandered about the place looking lost and then serving beers to a couple of the patrons at the bar before she eventually remembered the water on her own and made it back to us with our drinks. About 15 minutes after we received the additional bottle of water, we were told it would be another 30 minutes before our food came out. We had ordered 3 appetizers for the table and a meal each. When the food finally started coming out it came at a rate of about 2 dishes per 7-8 minutes. The appetizers (black and blue chips, guacamole and corn chips, and roasted peppers) came out interspersed with the meals. The server did not provide plates for us to be able to pass around the appetizers to those without food until she was finally asked for them ("oh yes..."). The timing of the food being served made lunch awkward as we were obviously hoping to eat together. One of our group had a gluten allergy and another a gluten sensitivity. Both ordered the "gluten free" pizza. The woman with the allergy was served her pizza after the waitress confirmed it was hers. She ate a little over half the pizza before the next round of food was delivered which included the other -actually- gluten free pizza. The waitress realized her error after a coworker spoke up, pointing out the very apparent differences between the two pizzas. At that point half of the table was done eating and 1 meal was still yet to be delivered to the table. While the waitress did at least comp the last meal and the incorrect meal, it really was insufficient for the experience. The woman who inadvertently ate the gluten-containing pizza ended up having to leave work early to deal with the aftermath...which will likely last at least a couple days knowing her history with gluten. The server and kitchen were both slow even when the business was too. If you have more than two people in your party, this is not the place for you unless you're looking for a long, leisurely lunch with subpar service. If you are or anyone in your party is gluten sensitive or intolerant, do not eat here. Even though they offer 1-2 gluten free options they cannot guarantee no cross contamination (which the woman with the allergy was willing to chance as she had pills for handling contamination but not full-on glutening) nor can their staff apparently keep an order straight and their patrons safe. I'm not sure how long ago they opened but I can't imagine they'll be open for much longer if they continue operating as is. read more

A group of my friends and I came here tonight to meet for book club. We've been excited about it opening and finally got the chance to come check it out! Immediately we walked in to a friendly welcome and assistance, making sure we were aware it was trivia tonight, which we did. We decided to sit in the couch area, where we also saw some table games on the side. 2 of the owners were there and talking with us throughout the night, assisting where needed. I always appreciate this and it makes me want to support a place more because it shows how much they care, so thank you! Gravity taproom is an absolute gem. It's a seat yourself bar with a quaint seating area both in and outside. The bartender was super knowledgeable and friendly, and took the time to talk with us about the seasonal beer selections. As for food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Being a taproom it's appetizers and pizza, but we had enough while sharing 2 appetizers that it filled us. We had the Bavarian pretzel and the cheese dip with focaccia triangles and they were both AMAZING! The beer was amazing as well. These were not some super rare, 15% ABV barrel aged Russian imperial stouts, just 3 of the same regular ole 6% ABV Belgian ales. It was Happy Hour from 3-6pm and all drafts were $1 off, decent deal if you are talking a $6-$8 draft, which is sort of the norm, still high, but the norm these days.
