"They have good service here" literally said from the old man sitting next to me as he eats his food. Our waitress was so nice and on top of everything! Everything we had was amazing! So much food! I had the World Series sandwhich, and it was amazing!! Great food and atmosphere!

I live in this area and there is very little dining that isn't fast food or other franchisees, numerous family Mexican restaurants, a few American restaurants and one new Sushi place. Gravy has made an inroad in the community primarily as a breakfast place and with good reviews, so we'll assume breakfast is good. Located in a nice strip center with lots of parking, Gravy is open until 2. Lunch is available and so 5 months ago we went for lunch since lunch is more our thing. We were given a sample of their raved about zucchini bread and it was delicious. Nice touch that. My husband ordered a Wedge salad and a Club sandwich. I ordered the Friday Fried Cod. I'll start with my fish. I used multiple layers of napkins to try and absorb the oil from my fried fish. It was not only greasy but dark brown and fried hard. It came with a paper medicine cup of Slaw and some Tater Tots for $16. I could have tried to send it back. Some days you just aren't up to it. My husband's $16 Paseo Club was an ordinary wheat bread sandwich with turkey, ham, cheddar, swiss and bacon with the obligatory extra piece of bread, lettuce and tomato. See photo below. $16! With a few slices of fried zucchini as the side. His Wedge salad was $4. And tasty, I was told. Service was friendly and helpful and the place was comfy. The lunch items ranged from not very good, though, to just plain expensive and forgettable. I am sure that breakfast must be their jam. Full menu available online. Check it out

This is such a cute cafe...the food is just as great. Most everything is homemade and delicious. Service is excellent and just fun. Our waitress was very helpful. I'm a vegetarian and I had several options. The eggs were delicious. My husband got the Reuben sandwich which was great. It's not a cheap place to eat but worth every penny.

My daughter had pancakes, egg and bacon. She ate it all. I had the French toast, eggs, and sausage

We stumbled upon this gem. The place was sooo delicious . The wait wasnt long either. The place was soo filling. The gravy was the best I've ever had. I'm definitely going back.

We lucked out that the original place we were going for breakfast was closed for renovation. This spot was cute the staff was attentive, we were told there would be a 15 min wait but were called in less than 10. The waitress brought us zucchini bread to try and it was delicious. Yep I'm getting a loaf to go The portions were huge and be everyone seems to be enjoying the atmosphere. I ordered the steak and eggs it was delicious.

We first ordered through Uber Eats and loved it so much, we looked them up and realized they were right near us in Lancaster! Since then, we've been consistent supporters because it's just THAT good. Now let's talk favorites. The honey butter cornbread cookies?! Don't be taken aback by the name. Absolute perfection--soft, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth GOOD. And the Oreo cookies?? Whew... easily top tier For the ice cream, the buttered pecan is smooth, creamy, and full of flavor And the cookies n creme?? Loaded, delicious, and everything you want it to be Take home message: If you're anywhere near Lancaster, you NEED to check them out and support this amazing Black-owned business Trust me--you'll be hooked just like we are!

Why not try it? We went on a Sunday around 2pm and my nose appreciated it tremendously. For the grand opening, all guests were invited to "sign the wall". The wall had 100s of signatures. We were greeted by a newly employed, friendly Miss. The store was clean, clean, clean. FRESH! One large cookie was $3. Special for multiple cookies purchased. They offered minis too. Day old cookies (what's that?) were only $8 for a bag. Did I mention their ice cream? Everything was great. A lil pricey, but we need to support our community FIRST. We will be back.

The catfish is always--and I mean always--fried to absolute perfection, and they give you a generous portion that is easily enough to share. Plus, adding a drizzle of their hot jalapeño for that extra kick of spicy flavor on the fish just completely does it for me! Because this spot is so good, it can get incredibly busy, especially during the lunch hour. I typically order online ahead of time so I can just run in, grab our food, and get right back out. If you want perfectly fried seafood in Red Oak, this is hands-down the place to go. Five stars all day!

Ladies and Gentlemen...WE HAVE A WINNER~!!!! 6*****…read more Food - OK, this is what G-d meant fried catfish to be. Moist. Flaky. Well seasoned coating. Crisp outside. Thermonuclear hot from the fryer. Just damn good fried catfish. On the downside...the fried shrimp were a bit on the small side and a bit too greasy out of the fryer...however, the shrimp flavor came through. Pre-fab packets of tartar sauce and ketchup are minor demerits; but, the cocktail sauce is homemade with visible flecks of horseradish. Hidden gem - in the bottom of your container, under the fish and fries, are marinated pickle and carrot slices AND a whole jalapeno. There's a kick here that adds a bit of extra spice to your meal. Warning, the tartar sauce and ketchup may be under your meal container hiding from you as everything is packed "to go", even if you're dining there. Dig deep to make sure you find everything. BONUS - canned sodas only and they're ONLY $1.00 (as of today...your experience may be different) Service - counter service with a pager for when your order is ready. The wait can sometimes be lengthy if the kitchen is slammed with take-out, call-in, delivery service, etc. orders...you really don't know until you get there. Ambiance - you gotta' want it to get it. The location is on the dark side of the fringe of a freeway/bridge construction/reconstruction zone. Once you figure out how to get access, the parking is challenging as there's one in/out and 4 separate storefronts using it...and the construction zone is right there.... All said, be courteous and patient and you'll find a spot. Upside - if you find a parking spot, you'll find a place to sit if you want to dine in. The place is clean, quiet, and has lots of TV's (for the size of the place) to keep you occupied while you wait on the kitchen. I found this place on a random Google maps search and I'm over the moon that I found it and braved the traffic to get inside. The food alone is worth the trip. Stick to what they do best - catfish - filets, strips, or steaks and you'll never be disappointed.

When I picked it up, it did not look like my inspiration pictures. There were purple flowers on the sides with pink one (no purple in the inspiration pic), no pearls, no vintage lattice work-just pipped the flowers on the sides with green stems (no stems in the pic) and the top writing. I was disappointed. I asked them to include blue flowers to balance out that it felt a little too girly, and they went back and added them which made it look better. I am not sure if the inspo pics got lost in the shuffle or if too much creative lee-way was taken but either way, I felt a little let down but was not going to let it ruin my day. However, on the drive home I still felt like it was pretty, but just not what I had in mind. I decided to call Bittersweet which is local to us and ask if they could add a few elements like the lattice and pearls. Faith was so kind on the phone and told me to bring it in being also clear that they aren't gluten free. I understood, but since we don't have true allergies I told her I was comfortable with them fixing it. It would not medically harm anyone if there was cross contamination. When I got there I showed her the original picture and sent it to her personal phone. Later I went to pick it up after taking my little to lunch, it came out it and was FANTASTIC! They added all the elements it was missing that I wanted and loved. It still doesn't exactly match my pictures but it looks SO cute now and I am very very happy! When I went to pay, she told me to just go enjoy my cake and that they were happy to help. THIS is how you win business, friends!! ANYTIME, I am ordering goodies, back to school treats for teachers, holiday yummies or cakes that aren't for my GF kids, I will be getting them from Bittersweet!!!! Thank you, Faith!!!
