I wound up very disappointed, more from the service experience than anything else. We looked at the menu on the outside and thought that we should try! We walked in to ensure they could seat us on the patio, as we had our dog with us - some places are not licensed for pets on the patio and we wanted to make sure before taking up space. We were told they're not serving food or drink, the kitchen is closed - it's not the kitchen being closed that I was a little annoyed with, it was the tone in which it was conveyed. You work in the service industry, be a tad more welcoming but advise correctly. We sat on the patio anyway, so my husband could have a beer. I asked for a bottle of water or tonic water (I wasn't drinking alcohol), and the waitress who did serve us pointed out the water advisory in Canmore - and how it's not their fault. No one said the water advisory is her fault - I was simply looking for a non-alcoholic drink. My husband had to walk back to our vehicle to get a bottle of water for myself and our dog, and the waitress was more concerned with my husband being annoyed/put out than with whether the non-drinker at the table had any options. Then at 4:30, she wants to take our food order? The food we did order tasted fine, but the kitchen didn't look clean and organized when I walked by. My husband and I read reviews and were excited to eat here. It left us disappointed. There was a keto bowl, which I was so pumped for. It was flavorless. The pork belly was good, but the cauliflower rice was sour. The veggies were previously frozen and watery. The avocado was gummy and didn't taste fresh. I had to put seasoning on it and ask for sriracha Mayo. A "keto" diet isn't a diet, it's a lifestyle. This was diet food. My husband got the brisket tacos. To be honest, I chose this sit-down initially because of its "Kid-Friendly" option, since I was vacationing in Banff with 4 friends and their 2 babies. I became more confident with my decision when its menu consisted of the group's favorite: wings and fries. As for me, however, I honed in on their burgers -- but I wouldn't pick just any generic patty sandwiched between bread. I craved most on the accommodating server's recommendation: the Tex Mex Burger, sandwiching an elk patty instead of the Canadian province's priced beef. This bulky elk patty was a delight to bite into. It actually had lower calories than its bovine counterpart, hence the patty texture being barely unctuous. Still, I felt slightly less ashamed to consume, especially when this protein was packed alongside a much thicker slab of mellow ricotta cheese, fried avocado, and a tasty amount of their mildly hot sauce that I wished I had double the amount of that condiment. To accompany my burger I ordered the House Salad, which was no ordinary pile of mixed greens. Their vinaigrette complemented impeccably with the strong greens, grape tomatoes, and hefty dates. I also amicably munched on my friends' Salt and Pepper Wings, which were generously served and tasted nicely. The scrumptious Poutine wowed my umami senses. The gravy particularly struck in richness and boldness while stuffing my mouth with the flavorful fries and cheese curds. Whether as a pit stop before or after the famous Banff National Park, take yourself and your cronies to graze upon Graze. One last thing: the "Kid-Friendly" option was marked for a reason. Food: 5/5 There is a variety of food to try on the menu. We tried the burgers, salads, and indian dishes. For the burger you can choose 2 types on patties. The elk burger wasn't as greasy as the other meat. I also had the gluten free bread with my burger and it was incredible. Honestly, one of the best gluten free buns I have ever had. They are able to accomodate most of their dishes to be gluten friendly. I also tried their gluten free calamari. It was the perfect combo of sweet and salty. I will say we went right before they closed to prepare for dinner, and our food did feel a little rushed compared to the previous meal. Service: 5/5 The waiters and the manager were all very friendly and accomodating. Environment: 4/5 There isn't much seating, but during the nice days in the summer the outdoor seating is a must. Disappointing selection for dinner after sifting through many yelp reviews for dinner. Host/possible owner? seemed very stressed upon our arrival with the seating arrangement. There was also an issue with the credit card machine, that was uncomfortable and our server/ host did their best to handle the situation but the experience/ wait could have been better. The salmon tacos (order comes with two) and the poutine fries were lackluster. I would not recommend either. Salmon tacos, note they do not use tortillas, was over sauced with a white sauce, sprinkle of arugula and a side of what is most likely can/jar salsa. Poutine fries, you get what you order, fries, gravy and fried cheese on top. The bowls looked like a much better order at other tables, so if you do plan to eat here I would suggest ordering those and stay away from anything else on the menu. read more

In general, really well done. I found the TVs a nuicence and it took away from the beautiful photography and what i felt was a relaxing atmosphere. Menu had a good selection of different dishes. Restaurant chef is from India. I was hoping more veg. dishes that had an Indian flair, but otherwise good. My husband went with the fish and chips, I went with the cioppano (seafood stew), kiddo went with the Buddha bowl and little one went with an order of fries. I also tried a local beer. The server was friendly and was prompt. Food came out in a decent amount of time. In general it was really tasty. My kid loved the sauce in her Buddha bowl, and even though there wasn't a tonne of seafood in my Cioppino it was more filling than I thought and it was delicious! I just had this stew in a vineyard in BC and this one was way more flavourful for less money. The garlic bread was multigrain and really well done. The tomatoes they used in the stock must have been fresh, it was like tasting summer. My husband liked his fish and chips, but I would say out of all the dishes this was probably the least favourite at the table. The homemade tartar sauce was amazing and full of dill. Super awesome people! They were swamped when we stopped by but unlike other restaurants when they find themselves in the "weeds" the staff at Graze were still polite, engaging and professional. Camella (spelling?) made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to customize a meal that my mother could not only eat but also enjoy. Sadly was a bit disappointed by this place considering the reviews were good. Staff seemed a bit confused where to seat us even though the inside was closed for seating. The owner was very nice and gave us some free soda! We were seating outside on a nice sunny day. Unfortunately everyone else who was seated after us seemed to be getting their drinks and food first. I ordered the salmon tacos and I have to say I've had wayyyyy better. The salmon isn't battered, it's just a piece of fishy smelling salmon with some mango salsa on it, wasn't a huge fan, left a really bad taste in my mouth. It tastes too fishy and the mango salsa was soggy. Also, note for $20 it doesn't come with a side. Just 3 tacos. My partner had the Rocky Balboa burger and fries and his meal was much better. Service was slow from our waitress. Wasn't too impressed as we're infront of her paying, she just walked away and said she'd be back to go take another persons order. We just finished lunch at Graze and I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in food I have ordered. The calamari was bland, flavourless and extra chewy. The pork belly tacos had such dry pork you couldn't take a bite with a slice of canned pineapple and a watery sauce to top it off. For a restaurant with pork belly all over the menu we expected better. The most expensive burger on the menu wasn't even made in house. The Merger was a huge disappointment, a Costco burger with dry pork belly. Neither meal was finished by either of the us and we were only offered a 25% discount. 1 of 3 tacos was eaten and a quarter of the burger. Salty fries were unpalatable. We were excited to try this place post pandemic but they have no business serving the food they did. I can understand being short staffed and things taking a bit longer but fresh ingredients go a long way. I was a bit choked to spend $75 on food that we didn't eat. But on the bright side I guess we contributed to their hopeful redemption. We have never sent food back or walked away without finishing most of meal so it was a first for us to have to tell the waitress we didn't like anything they fed us. read more

The first thing I want to say in this review is that the food was absolutely delicious and deserves five stars. We started with the poutine which was some of the better I've had on my travels in Canada, and then I got the Tex Mex burger with elk for my entree. The Tex Mex was a great combination of some spice in the jalapeño and then the avocado and cheese to mellow it out and make it a great flavor combination. And the elk patty was fantastic - my first time trying elk but certainly not my last. The value seemed solid as well, the portions were generous. The reason I can't give it five stars is because of the overall restaurant experience. Our server Tabitha was awesome - she was attentive and kind and we were very happy with her. The rest of the staff was a different story however. The place was disorganized - no manager, host/hostess, or bartender. We witnessed several of the other servers have poor interactions with customers, including turning people away starting at 8 even though the restaurant closed at 9. These interactions made us feel slightly uncomfortable at our table and is why I can't give it five stars. In summary the food is totally worth coming back for, and with a little more organization of the staff (maybe just add a manager - I nominate Tabitha) this could be the best restaurant in Canmore! read more

Very disappointed by this place after reading several reviews. I ordered the breakfast burrito. The potatoes on the side were raw in the middle. I doubt this is a Canadian thing. But it's what came next that put me over the edge to write this review. I witnessed the waitress, after delivering the wrong breakfast to the wrong table, switch them to the correct table with NO offer to redo the meals. HELLO! WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC!!! What part of this do you not understand? The plates sat in front of the people who were trying to figure out what had happened for several minutes. We got poutine and fried calamari. It was nice that the food was gluten free and marked so on the menu. The poutine didn't have the right ratios of potatoes, curds, and gravy to me. Awesome food! It's such an unassuming venue on Main Street with the best fish and chips around! All the food is delicious and the servers friendly and passionate about their establishment! Another great find! We didn't order a lot and this was our first visit but what we did order was great and we're looking forward to returning soon. We started with the Truffle Fries and were very happy to see this huge bowl of dark brown, crispy fries sprinkled with Parmesan placed in front of us. Talk about making two food lover's day! It was a moment to remember! Then she brought this plate with the Arancini balls and whoa! Delicious!! Those came with a serving of this wonderful marina sauce to dip them in. The marina sauce had the slightest hint of spice that was absolutely perfect. At the same time, she brought the Coconut Shrimp and these, too, were very good. The shrimp came with a chipotle dip that was a perfect accompaniment. But, we were so stuffed that we ended up taking two of the Arancini balls and two shrimp home. Very decent portions! And, without a doubt, the service was some of the best we've ever experienced! What a pleasure to have such an efficient server! I, too, was a server at one point in my life and can only hope that my customers were as happy as we were. And this gal was managing 6 or 7 tables by herself!
