Pretty good oil change place. They are not too tough on extra services. Make sure you know what services you have had done and at what mileage. Thus won't bug you about it. We bring our own filter with anti-drainback valves. Their filters do NOT have anti-drainback valves. Look it up. They have synthetic and they do Mercedes e class filters. I can usually find a 7 to 9 dollar coupon. Waiting on mornings is usually short. Can walk to Safeway or Country Village of you play Ingress. Clean store, free WiFi and drinks, water and juice. read more

I was very impressed with how quickly they serviced my car. It was done in twenty minutes as promised. One customer's car took a little longer and he was given a $10 discount without even asking for it. The staff was very friendly. Was impressed by this place. I wrote a good review for Jiffy Lube a while back, but I've stopped going there after reading how they rip off so many customers. Would have never gone there had I known about this place. A totally legitimate "quick oil change" place that doesn't pressure you to make any changes, just advises you of what services are available and what's "recommended" at that mileage, and just asks once if there's anything else you want done. These people were great! I missed an oil change and my oil light was on!!! Called several places who said they were booked up. Grease Monkey said to come right over and three were 2-3 people ahead of me but several people working. They took great care of my car, and I'm very pleased. Will definitely be back. First oil change with Grease Monkey and I'm impressed. They were friendly, very quick and thorough and honest about everything that my car needed. David was very helpful and listing out things that were done and letting me know that everything looked good (I recently had maintenance issues and I'm glad he pointed out things that looked good that were recently fixed). He recommended for me to change my air filter, he brought out what mine currently looks like compared to a brand new one and I agreed to do the change. Took probably a little over 20 minutes for the oil change and air filter. 10/10 would recommend. Speedy and precise and not as expensive as others in the area. After my oil change, my "Check Tire Pressure" warning light came on while driving on the freeway. I went to a nearby Les Schwab, and they checked and filled my tires for me. The tires had been reset at 30 psi when they should be at 35 psi. I made another stop to do errands after Les Schwab and the "Check Tire Pressure" warning light came on again. I looked at the tires and could see that they were OK. I was upset that Grease Monkey let air out of my tires and that I had this big hassle to deal with now of getting them filled up and figuring out how to get the warning light reset. So I called the manager and told her I was not happy that they had lowered my tire pressure, I had to go to Les Schwab, and it caused me a lot of inconvenience. She said that she thought my tire pressure warning light was still on because the spare tire in my trunk was low on air. I thought that sounded like a made-up cop out, and let her know I did not agree with her assessment of the situation. She said I should bring the car by so they could look at the spare tire and get the tire pressure light to go out, either that or I could take it back to Les Schwab. I basically told her I did not want to go back to her shop because I do not trust them with my car. When I got home, I used Google to find out how to reset the tire pressure warning system. This particular Grease Monkey shop needs some education on how to set the proper tire pressure. I am sorry I went there and had to undergo so much inconvenience taking care of a problem they caused. read more

I was a big fan of Jiffy Lube for a while there. Got tired of the long waits, and the attitude of too big for your britches, so I went to Grease Monkey. I have taken this car to a Grease Monkey before and really enjoyed the customer service I received, plus Grease Monkey is closer to where I live. They told me about a couple of things they recommended but when I turned them down they said OK, and moved on with my oil change. Of course I sat there listening to cars honk at me and only slow down to tell me that I shouldn't have bought a BMW...One of your staff (mechanic?) got everyone in your garage out there to help me get the car moving and into your parking lot. They even popped the hood to take a quick look and make sure it wasn't going to blow up. I am so thankful that they were kind enough to run out into the street and help. If that is the type of people you employ then please keep it up! We will be back to pay them for their kindness (even though they declined any compensation). I had a basic oil & filter change done on Sept 19, 2016. Initially, I was thrilled as they agreed to use the standard oil (I had a similar experience as Jennifer who commented on 6/24/16 for Grease Monkey. In my case, the Jiffy Lube outlet had insisted on using synthetic oil as they didn't want to be liable for any engine damage with regular standard oil). After the oil/filter change was completed, the mechanic highlighted that my air filter was dirty. There were two longish black streaks across part of the filter. I asked if he could just air blow it away. He said no. I wasn't thinking clearly, and agreed to change the filter (which a Chinese sourced filter that was different than my original filter). Subsequently, I traveled extensively for two months. During my travels, the black streaks bothered me. I finally realized that it was probably brake dust that had been sprinkled across. After all, if it's an air filter taking in air from the surrounding atmosphere, why would it be pitch black and a streak? Net, be forewarned of such tactics. read more

Called this morning to see if they take appointments - guy was friendly on the phone and said to just come on in that it's first come first served. I got just a conventional oil change - priced at $42. A little more than I'd like to pay for an oil change, but they did also vacuum out the interior and top off all of the fluids. When I was waiting in the office, one of the mechanics came in to show my filter and ask if I'd like to have their recommended fluid flush. I opted to just change the filter and hold off on the flush - I did not feel pressured to drop a bunch of money and he was perfectly friendly when I declined. There were 2 other cars there when I arrived, but I made it in and out easily in 15 minutes - awesome! I found an online coupon for $7 off and was happy to use that as well. First time here, but I felt comfortable and pleased with the service - the mechanics in the garage even made a point to say thank you as I was walking back to my car. I would definitely return here - they also advertise for complimentary top off between services and have a decent lobby with tv and complimentary drinks while you wait! read more

First time there, called James on the phone before heading over, helpful with questions and once I arrived even better. Pulled right into a bay, went over options, waited in VERY clean waiting room, with free refreshments, wifi, etc for about 15-20 minutes. I just recently moved to Washington from Cali . I was a little at odds with were to get good honest service on my truck. After moving to Bothell I drove my grease monkey's everyday on my way to work. So I gave them a call when my truck was not running up to par, the person who I talked to on the phone was so very helpful about what might possibly be going on and was happy to help and answer all my questions. I arrived at grease monkey's and was greeted with smiles and prompt service they were honest with what my truck needed. I would have to say that the customer service there was above and beyond what they really needed to be. Smiles all the way around and I was in and out in no time at all, and they even let me keep my big ol dog in the truck while it was serviced. I have used this store for years, and the service has always been decent. Today I got my oil changed and found out when I went to pay that they raised their prices....not 3-5% to account for inflation but 25%!!!! My last oil change was $80 and today it was $100 (even went back to verify amounts in my checking account). Oil prices are the lowest they have been in years, so I do not believe their costs have gone up even close to 25%. Today is the last day I will ever use this company's services. read more

The oil filter housing was significantly over-tightened causing it to crack. All the oil leaked out of the car. Dealership unequivocally placed the blame on the previous oil change provider (Grease Monkey) for this type of damage. Cost to fix the damage was $250.00. It's been a great oil change provider since we moved to Bothell, but I can no longer recommend using the business. read more

You lost my business when you over charged me for services that were not needed. The transmission needed to be flushed, so you did a pan drop for 179.00 and then you sent out an employee to tell me it would be 300.00, then, you came out 30 min. later and tell me its 500.00, charging me an extra 199.00 for a mobil 1 syn. torque. He said there was caulking floating around so he had to charge more, but, the employee I spoke with said the fluid was not lumpy, it was clear. These charges were from 12/2014, I have not been back since then. I got nothing by calling the corporate office, and nothing from the owners. I took my 1993 Ford F-150 in for oil change, air filter and fuel filter. I told the service person I would come back as I just worked 5 min away, he asked me to wait as it would only be 15 min. 45 min later the person working on vehicle was still trying to get a simple fuel filter change taken care of. I did leave and come back two hours later. My truck was parked in there lot so I figured it was done. As I approached the shop the Manager told me he needed to speak with me about truck. To quote him, the person working on changing fuel filter could not get it removed to replace!. Ok, this guy does this every day for a living and couldn't do it. I told him I guess I will have to take it to another shop. Here is the part that makes me so hacked at shop. I get home that afternoon and my truck smells like buring oil. I have look under truck and I see drops of oil on pavement. No oil leaks at all befor Grease Monkey. This atternoon I get home and I thought I better have look to see if they changed out air filter which was in need of a change. Unreal!, they left a dirty air filter in truck and I could see the screws that hold down housing around filter still had dust on them and had never been removed! I'm so disgusted and I will only go back for them to figure out what they had done that's causing vehile to drip oil. Maybe I caught the whole crew on a bad day?. read more
