I am very confident the last time I got an oil change here I was changed for it and they didn't actually change the oil. It took them less than 5 minutes to change the oil. At the time I didn't think about it, I was a new flustered mom with my baby. I was surprised by how fast it took but didn't question it. But now that I am having car troubles because my car had no oil in it. There are no leaks. We have been going here for years and the customer service has been terrible the past few years. read more

Very good service here. Came to get my spark plugs replaced on a Saturday morning. The manager advised me on the best brand to get, and also informed me of how long the job would take. This one star has nothing to do with anything but price. $103 for an oil change is an absolute rip off. I went to the same grease monkey last year and paid $68. Apparently, if corporate goals are not met, they raise the prices to offset their losses. Corporate greed is SO REAL at Grease Monkey and that was the last dollar I will ever spend there. The mechanics were awesome, friendly and service was quick, so it's a complete shame that the folks at corporate don't seem to care about their customers. Service was quick and that was the only good thing. Charged for coolant without asking. I checked it last week and it was not low then. I doubt it was when I had the oil changed. Charged for shop supplies, with no explanation. They did not vacuum, although the receipt states they did. When I asked them to throw away the paper protector they use on the floor of the drivers side, tech stated he wasn't a trashman. Another tech took it, begrudgingly. read more

You're stuck in your car bc of covid, you agree on a type of oil, they come back when you are closed in the bay and tell you that you MUST use a certain oil. You don't have a choice. They don't tell you the price until after they are done and it's time to pay, while you still are stuck. It's intimidation. What a joke. I went here instead of the dealership because it was close and I was short on time so I needed to get my oil changed over my lunch break. My truck is almost new with less than 15000 miles on it, and the first thing the guy says when I pull up is about buying new windshield wipers and asks if I need a new air filter. I tried telling him that the truck is almost new and doesn't need that stuff, and walked off to get food because I didn't have time to argue with him about that stuff. On my return there were several things. First of all, it was just a total rip off. $75 for a synthetic oil change is $25 more than even the dealership charges, but that's what I get for going to a random place despite the good reviews on Yelp. Second, he once again goes off about how much I REALLY need my filter replaced. Look up the US Department of Energy study (2006), a dirty air filter DOES NOT impact gas mileage. If you replace your air filter at every oil change or just because it "looks dirty" you're throwing your money away, 30-45k miles is more than sufficient. Third, one of the major reasons for paying additional for synthetic (especially if you're going to be paying $75 of an oil change) is that synthetic oils are good for 5000-7500 miles under normal driving conditions. Upon getting back in my car their little sticker indicated my "Next service" was due in 3000 miles. Again, if you are putting synthetic in your car and not red lining it around a racetrack, then you are absolutely throwing money down the drain by changing it every 3k miles. So not only are they charging an arm and a leg, they aren't accurately representing what you're paying additional money for. And if they try to say they are charging that much of synthetic that is only good for 3k then they have managed to purchase the absolute worst oil in the world. Here's a quote from the National Oil and Lube News online newsletter: "Many people...know when to have their oil changed but don't pay that much attention to it," "Take advantage of that by using a window sticker system [and] customers will be making their way back to you in a few short months." This is my 4th grease monkey I've tried out with a fleet vehicle trying to find a dependable shop. Came today with no wait. Only two bays available at this location. They've been changing my oil now for about 30 minutes and still are not done. One of the "techs" inside looks about 16. I can change my own oil with little experience in about 20 minutes. This place makes me very nervous as it's a brand new car. read more

These guys are the best! So honest, patient and kind. I went in to get my brakes checked and rather than charging me to change them, they were honest and told me they still had some life in them and that I could wait a while longer. Firestone tried to convince me to let them change them about 2 months ago- and it was such an expensive rate! I also had trouble removing my brake light cover to change the light bulb, so I swung by the shop on my way home and within minutes in the frigid weather they helped me remove the cover and even changed the bulb, all at no charge. These guys were great. I brought my car in because I had lost the oil cap somewhere in my engine. Abraham found my oil cap and noticed a leak in my oil pan. He went in to do the work and realized that I did not need a whole new oil pan;it was just a gasket. He repaired the gasket quickly and saved me a bunch of money in not needing an entire new oil pan. read more

This is the closest grease monkey to my new house so I decided to give it a try. They did oil changes on both of our vehicles and did a good job on both. During this visit they informed us that one of our belts was cracking and needed to be replaced (which it did). We returned a few weeks later and they replaced the belt, but the new belt started squealing almost immediately after leaving. We brought the car back two days later and they replaced the belt free of charge and the problem went away. I am giving them 5 stars for the quality and speed of there work AND the fact that they stand by their work. read more

I went here to fix a coolant leak in my van. After looking at it the mechanic determined there wasn't a leak so I asked for a coolant flush and to have new coolant added. My coolant reservoir was completely empty before bringing it in so I figured there must be a leak, but I'm not a professional so I deferred to the opinion of someone who supposedly is one. The next day I noticed a wet spot around the front passenger side wheel and I checked the coolant and it has all leaked out overnight. I called to see if Grease Monkey could help me at all and they told me that "there was no visible leak" and it was my decision to do the coolant flush so they could do nothing for me. Took my car in on Saturday, when done asked if they topped off all fluids, they said yes. Next day get in and low washer fluid light comes on, drive down the road and then low coolant for radiator light comes on. So I stop and add coolant, next day same light comes on and more coolant, by the time I get home engine is overheating. Call them they say didn't touch any thing, but bring in and we will take a look, are you kidding, took to someone else, seems they broke the cap, causeing no pressure in radiator thus fluid leaks out. Called them they still say they didn't touch it, even though they said they topped off all fluids. Will never go to them or any grease monkey. Don't even know if they changed the oil. Had to pay them and the real mechanic to find the problem. Car works great now. read more

I want to start off by saying, I have been taking my car to this Grease Monkey on and off for years now. My father has always said , "stop taking your car there. " but I could never figure out why because my experiences have been so great. I now live in Aurora but I took the trip all the way to 28th and Colorado Blvd because I wanted my car done right. Well, unfortunately, I was dooped this time. When picking up my car, I wasn't told as usual, how the over all check went with my car; wipers check, no need for air filter, those things. I had to ask how my air filter was. I was told to get it was okay but to get it changed at my next visit. Interestingly, I went home to check the filter and the dusty housing around the filter had no finger prints on it. The air filter had lots of dust in it and I had to used my vacuum to clear it out. Also, I noticed the lights where checked according to the receipt but I have a light out at the rear of my car. Im very disappointed with my last service and now Im unable to trust Grease Monkey. I will not be a customer. I paid $40.54 for a job Im uncertain about. Oh and today, which is 6 days after my oil change, my check engine light is on. Hummm. read more

Called ahead as the Jiffy Lube I went to couldn't get my oil filter off. Manager was confident they could help me and personally greeted me when I drove up an hour later. Not only did they get the job done, they were super quick and every employee on the property was friendly and helpful to both me and my children. As a female I am always hesitant to get any work on a vehicle, lets face it I know next to nothing about cars. My boyfriend and I took his jeep in to get the oil changes before our big memorial day weekend trip to moab and zion. We were in the area and this was the closest grease monkey, be it may it was on the more sketchy part of Colorado Blvd. The customer service from start to finish was out of this world. I wish I had gotten the two gentlemen's names who helped us out, one was I believe the manager who was from Broomfield (I do remember that because we had a lovely conversation upon check-out). He was so friendly and shook our hands as we left, sincere hospitality. The gentleman who called us back to show us what he had done to the Jeep before we cashed out was not only a kind smiley man, but without hesitation held the door opened for us as we went back, kindness and service like this should not go unnoticed. I'm very disappointed in how this location treats their fleet customers. I work for a taxi company that has a service account with this location and I've been turned away for service on more than 1 time. 3 to be exact. The first time I pulled in I was greeted by one of the employees rushing to my van to inform me that they didn't have the oil filter for the vehicle. The next time there were 2 car in each line and the workers informed me it would be hours before they could get to my vehicle. Finally today I pulled in and was informed that they didn't have the wrench to take my filter off. So I turned around the parking lot to drive out the way I came in and one off the workers girlfriends was blocking the driveway in her truck eating lunch. So I patiently waited for her to move at which point her boyfriend who works at this location walked up to my window and said oh you can squeeze by. Well if I would have squeezed by I also would have had to hop the curb which in a vehicle I use to make a living isn't going to happen because I'm not going to risk damage to my livelihood. Went here last week due to their good reviews on Yelp. Twas a smart move for me & of course, my automobile ;). They recommended what was needed based on the mileage so they didn't try to force me to get something else done. What I really liked is that, for the first time ever in the history of oil changes I've had, they actually SHOWED me the air filter & recommended I get 1. Of course, I did. It was quick service. Even enjoyed their free popcorn, too. I'd like to say they were sweet guys as well as great mechanic's 'cause they left 2 pink carnations in the car. :) Aaww... who knew that flowers & oil changes go good together?
