I live close and decided the closest place was the one I would use. Was not wrong in deciding on grease monkey. They were polite, professional, careful with cleanliness (put the paper and seat cover in while I loaded my kids on the stroller). I moved from Texas 6 months ago and was looking for an oil change place. I drove by this location and decided to stop as it looked clean and professional. I am not sorry I did! From the service tech who met me at my car to the nice young man who explained everything, it was a great experience. The nice young man I believe his name was Juan explained everything and did not push me into anything. I ended up having to get new filters and a new battery. He showed me how my battery was not charging completely. I appreciate the good care I received there and will be back. read more

I came to this Grease Monkey to avoid the one on Wadsworth and 4th (They are terrible!). The staff at this location was great! They gave me a cheaper option for my synthetic oil - NO other shop has done that before. This location was super fast - oil change and two air filters changed on my lunch break. You gotta love being female and going for service on your car. It's worse than a cliche. This Grease Monkey location made me forget all about that cliche. The guys working were friendly and quick, and didn't recommend a dozen useless services that I "needed." They DID, however, point out that my high beam was out, and offered to fix it without pressuring me into any sale. The only reason they don't get five stars in my book is the waiting area. It's tiny, a little run-down, and the chairs (as per usual) kinda suck. But there is a TV, "Fresh" Coffee, and cold water. Looked like they were starting to spruce up the area a bit, too, with two new flat-screen TVs being installed, so that might get better. Absolutely recommended. read more

I appreciated the fast service, but noticed a new sound coming from my car on the way home. When I popped the hood, I found a styrofoam cup jammed between my engine belts. If I could rate this Grease Monkey 0 stars I would. I called ahead and they told me it wouldnt be a long wait because there was only 2 cars ahead of me. I get there and it takes almost 2 hours for them to tell me that they can not service my car because there is an oil leak and that I needed to call the Jeep dealership for to find out about a warranty. I call the Jeep dealership and they said that there is no current warranty on anything for my make and model of Jeep. I get my car checked out and come to find out there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car, no oil leak, everything is fine. I ended up getting an oil change somewhere else. read more

I originally went to this Grease Monkey because I have some damage to my bumper and because of it, Wal-Mart wouldn't change my oil. I was going to go on a road trip to Moab, UT the following day, so I wanted to make sure that I got my car ready. The closest place was across the street to this Grease Monkey and the guys there were great. They finished everything within 20 minutes and it wasn't too expensive. (About $40) I went back today because my check engine light was on. I asked for an oil change and to check for the reason for the light. I was in the office for no more than ten minutes and they came in and told me that I didn't need any oil. They explained that someone probably didn't reset the light last time, and they sent me on my way. I'm a young woman, and they totally could have ripped me off, but they didn't. I even chatted with the manager and he gave me some advice on my car for the future. As long as I'm in Denver, I'll always take my car to get serviced here. read more

Great location. Really prompt and great service. I haven't had any really bad recommendations from this location. I was told my battery should be replaced and I really should get to that. My thought was I will wait till I have to replace in the winter. Turns out I never had to replace in the winter. Now I am waiting for when I have to replace it in the summer LOL. It hasn't left me stranded anywhere so I am kind of waiting it out. They recommend the same stuff the dealer does and they follow the recommendations from the book. I like going here over the dealer because of price, and speed of service. I found that depending on the dealer often you need an appointment and it can take an hour or more for something as simple as an oil change. This location has its times where it is busy but I have found that if you go early on the weekends it isn't bad and during the week as long as you avoid typical lunch times this place is very quick and will have you in and out fast. The employees have been at this location for quite some time and it creates a very nice environment. read more

Got my oil changed for $70, synthetic. They said I also needed a break fluid flush. I JUST got that done 3 months ago at my last oil change. I asked him to show me why he recommends it. He poured some brake fluid in the bottle cap to show me what color it's "supposed" to be, and showed me my tanish colored fluid. The guy rolled his eyes when I said Jiffy Lube did the service. So, I took my car back to Jiffy Lube to have them redo the service. He tested my fluid with an actual chemical test strip and showed me the color which said it was in the best possible condition. Jiffy Lube redid the service for me anyways to give me peace of mind. Grease Monkey was clearly trying to get a sale out of me, a young lady. Seriously unprofessional to just "eyeball it" and try to fool me into thinking that's actually how the functionality is measured. ALSO, they don't have options for oil aside from regular and synthetic which I'd appreciate for my high-mileage car. AND one guy replied to my thank you with a "we love our ladies around here." Little uncomfortable. All in all I feel played and disrespected. read more

But the service technicians move quickly and accurately. Grease Monkey offers coupons that are regularly mailed and thus serve as another reminder that's it's probably time to change the oil or service something. Don't have a coupon? Don't worry; they'll take of you. One of the things I like is that the technicians aren't pushy. Yes, I know I need to flush the radiator and you want to sell me a new air filter. But when I say no thank you, they listen and don't try to guilt me into a purchase I don't want. Another benefit of this location is that you've got El Tapatio Mexican dining 10 feet away (lunch and lube, right) and Barley Haven (homebrew and lube) across the parking lot. Wow so the typical oil change here is now $40. I remember coming here when it was only $20. A testament to how much inflation and oil prices have drastically increased over the years (while most middle class wages have remained deplorably stagnant). I used a $5 coupon on their website to help take off some of that sting. Usually when I come in the late afternoons when they aren't busy I can get an oil change done in 15 to 20 minutes. Coming at noon on a Saturday is a different story. Took 45 minutes and there was a line of about 6 vehicles ahead of mine so had to wait. Not a big deal for me today but if you have things to do I'd recommend not bringing it in on a busy Saturday. Service techs were friendly and courteous. They inspected everything and recommended just what my vehicle needed. They were not pushy at all. The air filter was dirty and they said it would be $20 to replace but I knew better. I went to Walmart and bought it for $10. They make their revenue off of selling replacement parts so a word to the wise and get them elsewhere and put it in yourself unless you are willing to pay significantly more for the convenience fee and immediate service. I've been bringing my vehicles to this location for decades and it has been consistently well managed and the service has been pretty reliable. read more

My car randomly started overheating Sat night, so I went to look for a shop on Sunday morning. EVERY damn place was closed on Sunday (that I looked for/called). Randomly saw this Grease Monkey while driving around looking for a shop. THEY'RE OPEN ON SUNDAY!! That fact alone saved me from spending another night in Denver. But these guys were just awesome when it comes to taking care of your car. I drove up and was greeted by an employee and asked what they could do for me. I was led to a manager named Robert, who was just plain awesome. He was extremely knowledgeable with my Subaru WRX and also very personable. He quickly diagnosed my problem (thankfully it turned out to be something small) and didn't try to oversell. He actually helped me get over to the part store to pick up what I needed and installed it. The price was excellent for what they did to help me. But the biggest thing in my book was how knowledgeable and helpful these guys were. Bottom Line: I drove in not too happy and expecting the worst being I was so far away from home. They really saved my day and got me on the road to continue my 90 mile journey back home. These guys are very personable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Asked for a "basic" oil change. They pitched me on all kinds of add ons as usual and I declined. So without asking, they used and billed me for synthetic oil despite having gone with regular oil in past visits. This review is from a one time service call only-- I've had them service my car before, but this time I've learned my lesson not to have the car checked at the closing time, because i don't think the service was done to the fullest, it was super fast, just couple minutes and i was out the door... asked them to check on my 'service light that was on, and they could not see what was wrong with it, or tell me what to do to get rid of it. Eitherway, i felt like they were ready to be out of the office and i was just a quick $60 in a 3 min sale.. but they did vacuum my interior, and cleaned my windows. so that's a plus. read more

Avoid this place at all cost , I bring in my mustang with 30k miles , the guy tells me I need engine oil flush with my oil change . okay done . Go about 6 weeks later and 750 miles . My check engine light comes on . SO I take to ford dealer . The Service writer calls me at home the next day . I have to spin bearings and need a partial engine rebuild , Which will not be covered my warranty . They sent the oil to a lab , it comes back with approx. 10% of flush cleaner in it and the oil was 5w-20 , and got informed you never put 2w-20 oil into 5 liter engine Then shows me the official ford standard book , which states you are never to do engine flushes. SO 1300 bucks later and now my engine warranty is now void. I am back on the road . So he gives the lab report and the ford field engineer report of the engine oil and said SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The ford dealer , they have seen a lot of issues of services that don't following factory specs . aka all purpose fuilds and etc . SO I leave you with something to think about Do you really think some guys at grease monkey make 12 buck or so that don't have the training like ase techs can be trusted ? You paid over 20k or more for your car . Don't take the word of teenage dude over ford engineer , Only do what is in your owner manual . read it and Don't take Grease Monkey word for it . read more
