I was stranded and no one to call after I found my car tire so flat I couldn't drive anywher. Big O was less than half a mile away so I called and spoke to one of the service provider Erin. He was able to send help to me in minutes! I felt blessed honestly. They came with an air compressor to air me up and escorted me to the shop. I should be giving this a one-star review, but I don't want to completely dog this place. Maybe they have some good mechanics and it's just bad company training. About six months ago my water pump went out. The main reason I came here was because it was the closest place to tow to. They replaced the water pump. It was a little pricey after I did some research, but it was kind of an emergency. Somehow they forgot to add or flush the coolant. Now, when it gets cold, the heater won't turn on at all, and a couple of sensors in the car stopped working. I would just chalk this up to coincidence. Well, about a week ago we needed new tires and an alignment. They replaced the tires but said they couldn't do the alignment because a ball joint needed replacing. They didn't say which one but automatically quoted all four. They also told us the serpentine belt needed replacing and the rear brake pads needed to be replaced. I had an oil change appointment that week with the dealership, so I decided to wait until after that to make any decisions. Turns out the dealership now has a full 360 inspection system. I got my oil change and the dealership emailed me a video of what they found: a small oil leak I should keep an eye on. Shockingly, they said the ball joints, serpentine belt, and brakes were all good! Now I'm very concerned for other people who go here for mechanical issues. On a side note, after telling my dad this story he had some very similar stories to share about the Big O in Longmont. Is this a lack of training, or are they actually training this behavior? I'm mostly sharing this to protect people who may have limited funds and feel like they have no choice. Maybe have your dealership, or a dealership, look at your car instead of this place. read more

Last November, I took my car to Big O Tires in Lakewood to have my winter tires put on. That day ended up being an unexpected snow storm and it seemed like everyone in town had the same idea as me. Big O Tires was swamped with people and the employees were working in overdrive to serve everyone who showed up. But they got it done and I was grateful to have my car back in time to be driving through the evening's wintry conditions. Admittedly, I didn't think to double check the summer tires they returned to me in those opaque tire bags. Instead, I simply threw all four of them in a pile in the corner of my garage and moved on.  Fast forward to the end of March when I was ready to switch back to summer tires. I had to take my car into the dealership for routine maintenance so I grabbed the same stack of tires from the garage and asked them to put the tires on while they were working on it. I was shocked to get a call from Toyota in the middle of the appointment and learn that one of the tires didn't match. Initially, I was upset and confused, especially because they had already put 3/4 tires on the car before realizing it so I was now driving around with 3 summer tires and 1 winter tire on. And, upon closer inspection, I learned that the fourth tire wasn't even the right size for my car - it was a slightly smaller rim size and very bald.  The only feasible explanation was that our fourth tire had accidentally gotten mixed up on that snowy day in November at Big O Tires. I felt silly for not checking the bags and a bit overwhelmed by the situation. I called Big O Tires to see what we could do and first connected with Devin. He was kind, compassionate, and helpful (not a guarantee when I was calling at almost 5 PM that day to ask about a mistake that had been made five months earlier). I felt heard and understood in our conversation and he let me know when I could get in touch with the right supervisors to get the issue resolved. I walked away from our conversation appreciative and hopeful.  The following day, I showed up in person and met with Breck, one of the managers at the shop. Again, I felt heard, listened to, and valued. He was present to the details I shared and took ownership of the mistake, apologizing to me personally for the mix-up. He made a point to prioritize a solution and committed to getting things resolved ASAP. We looked at the state of the summer tires on my car and mutually determined that they were new enough that we could simply replace the one tire rather than needing to order a full set. Once we were in agreement, he ordered a new one right on the spot and informed me that it would be there that same afternoon and they could replace it before the end of the day for free. Everything went according to plan and we both double checked all the tires (including the winter one in the opaque bag!) to ensure I was good to go.  Honestly, I was incredibly grateful for the outcome but I was even more appreciative of the way I was treated through the entire interaction. Never once did they question me or hesitate to help fix the problem. They were gracious, patient, kind, trusting, and proactive. I even ran into Devin while I was waiting for the tire to get changed and he went out of his way to follow up on the situation. As someone who has been known to hold a grudge at times, let me tell you it takes a lot for me to go from a place of questioning whether I will ever use a specific service again to writing a public review to recommend them - within a matter of days too. Yes - they made a mistake and it was an honest one and they did their due diligence to make it right. I trust their team and will be back to Big O Tires in Lakewood in the future. read more

overcharged they are rip off artist especially the front desk guy Breck Howard . i called around to 3 other big o tires to ask what they would charge and they were all half the cost . he charged me for a full alignment after telling me they didn't touch the alignment only adjusted the track bar . not one big o tire said they would charge that. do not go there for help . they are probably good at putting on winter tires but dont let them rip you off. check their prices . . at pickup he told me total was 149 because they didnt touch allignment . then he said they only adjusted the track bar and then still charged me full allignment price . bs . if i had paid the 149 i would have walked only because i asked about the steering wheel being off he charges me full allignment. please do not go there . read more

I needed tires on my 05 PT Cruiser. Brett was very helpful and kind throughout the entire process. They were able to get us in quickly and did a great job. They did not push any repairs, but did give me a list of things to watch out for in the future. The employees were kind and upfront about cost and the truly needed repairs. Brett even checked up on me when I continued to have some issues with this car. They really do care about their customers, and it shows. When I had to get a new car and the dealership lied about the state of the car, they helped me out with an inspection right away. I would not say this about many car places, but I trust these workers. Breck (store manager) greeted me and assessed the tires that I needed to match the other existing two good tires. Found the tires I needed and ordered the tires upon my approval. Prompt and professional service. I had an appointment that morning, so Sebastion (younger employee) drove me home, we had a nice conversation. I was impressed with his maturity, work ethics, and that he enjoys working for a manager that cares for his employees. I just called Big O at this location looking for a set of tires. I told the first gentleman I was looking for a set of Goodyear Duratrack, and did they have those in stock and what was the price. I was asked to hold while he checked. I was on hold for probably 8 minutes when another gentleman answered. I told him Victor was checking on the Goodyear Duratracks for me, but if Victor has gotten pulled away would he mind checking. (Can't be that difficult, right?) After 5 additional minutes on hold (now we're at 13 minutes), Stephen answered, asked how he could help, and I let him know what I was looking for, but that he was now the 3rd person to ask and that I kept getting flipped to new people and starting over, and did he think it would take long to please check the price on a set of Goodyear Duratracks. Stephen then hung up on me. I called back twice and no one would even pick up the phone. This business is not taking responsible for their actions. I dropped off my 8 month old truck to be serviced for a tire rotation and oil change. Upon arrival, my car had no damages. They didn't point any damages out or fill out a damage sheet either. Upon pickup of my vehicle, this is what I have on my driver side rear panel. A dent the size of a basketball. They are taking no responsibility for their actions. They are trying to tell me it was that way when I came in. Their video evidence is off grainy footage and they are trying to tell me that given shadows and reflections off of another car as it drives by, they can see the dent was already there. They are a bunch of crooks who cannot take responsibility for their actions. It's just body work, I understand things happen, but to not own up to it is slimy and horrible business practice. I made an appointment to have new tires put on days in advance. I show up at the appointed time and am told my car will be ready in two hours. I call two hours later and am told that they haven't even started on my car. Why make an appointment? Four hours of my day were wasted and they didn't even have the decency to call or text me to let me know that it was gonna be running late. THEN, the next day I see that I was charged $149 for an extended warranty that I was never even spoken to about. Plus recycling fees for all four of my old tires when I kept one and they only recycled three. Now I had to waste another morning because I had to go back to the shop so they could refund my card. They barely apologized and made it seem like it was MY fault because I didn't notice the bogus charges when I was checking out. No attempts were made to make me feel like they cared. No offer for future store credit, no voiding the charges for the other recycling fees, NOTHING. They've lost all of my future business and any good word of mouth they could've gotten. read more

I was the first and only customer and was still told a 3 hour wait?! 3 hours for what. To fix a nail in a tire. He said they had 2 cars already in back. This I understand. He then said more might come in. But I'm first, right? I asked. Maybe, he said. I went to my car waiting to see if he could possibly do this in less than an hour. Called another bigO location 8 mins away. Went there instead. They did my car and I was driving home back by this location at 7:55. How annoying. Glad i didn't wait and waste my time. Terrible Jeffery the assistant manager said come back I'll help you with a deal offered me a deal that was a slap to the face and not reasonable at all. Terrible customer service and organization don't use this company!! Make sure you double check what tires you ordered and what tires your car leaves the shop with. Manage to not be able to decipher what a run flat and not a run flat was and put the wrong tires on, they tighten your wheel locks to tight that you will need your dealership to break them off and replace them. Somehow my car has 3 different sets of tires on it from when they'd need to be replaced due to nails and they can't explain why but they will tell you you need to start over from scratch and buy brand new stuff even if it was definitely there mistake. read more
