I was planning on evaluating a car I was in the process of buying. I checked yelp and found that the reviews were recommending this as a good place to service their cars. I called and Thad responded that I could get the car in though there may be a wait as his assistants were busy. As discussed I reached the place and waited till his assistant was able to evaluate the car. Thad gave up me a good feedback on the car and suggested some minor changes later on but good enough to Go ahead with buying the car. To my astonishment he refused to take a penny for his evaluation. I felt embarrassed as he and his assistants did spend time evaluating the car. I intend to go back and service my car at this place as this is the very least I can do to pay my debt for his kindness , generosity and Decency. These group of guys was very professional in handling my oil change. In the lobby, you will see a timer for the vehicles in the base with a countdown from 30 minutes( which gives you a dollar off for the oil change every minute that passes over). There was no upselling involved with oil but they gave me the prices for the different tiers of oil that they provide with no push for the higher grades. While working on the oil change, they brought in my engine air filter to show how old and dirty it was and offered to replace it, including the cost for the air filter. It would have been cheaper to replace it on my own, but I appreciated that time they took to show me the air filter; I decided to replace it due to the convenience. The only bummer was that I wished I could've brought my wife's car in as well instead of going to the Valvoline Drive thru oil change. I would have received the better deal here for full synthetic oil and be out within a reasonable amount of time. Thanks, guys! read more

I cannot give this as few stars as possible. I took my Nissan Pathfinder in for an oil change and immediately after smoke was coming out of my exhaust pipe. We waited this out for about a month and brought the car back in for another oil change and to clean out the "sludge" that they said was in my car. My car was working perfectly before I took it to this grease monkey location. I have since had a low oil pressure light on my car. After taking it to my mechanic this morning I have been informed that no oil was ever put into the car either time and I am basically at the point where I need a new engine. These guys are genuine. I often feel like most mechanics, especially chains, really do treat me like an idiot because I'm a woman. But they gave me a short list of recommended services and told me which ones were most important. Also gave me a timeline of how quickly I should take care of them. I didn't feel pressured by them at all or like they were pulling the "we'll change your oil filter for an additional price" trick (most people replace oil filters as part of the service for no additional charge). I was backing out of my garage when my husband was pulling up to the house and he has an auto detection with his car that opens or closes the garage door automatically when he is close to our home......so while I was backing out, my vehicle hit the bottom of the garage door. Needless to say it wasn't a great start to our Sunday! However, my husband called Grease Monkey (they show they are closed on Sunday's) and to our surprise someone not only answered but came and repaired our garage door same day on a Sunday! Went there for an oil change and asked the mechanic a question and he took it for a drive And came back and a cable was cut from my steeling wheel not letting me be able to drive and they charged me $400 overall they took money from me and already knew the problem before I even asked and they probably have done it to other people. I bought a car and was going to drive it to New Mexico so i went to Grease Monkey to have oil changed. They told me my car took the synthetic oil which was going to be 90+ and so I said ok. He looked everything over and said everything was good to go. The next day my friend checked the oil before I started on the long road trip and my oil was black. Then he checked the oil filter and found that the oil filter had not been replaced I paid ninety something dollars and did not get an oil change, We figured out that the skid plate that was on my car was the wrong skid plate so in order to change oil it had to be taken off which is probably why they pretended to have changed my oil. I am a single lady and i just want to thank the guys at the grease monkey on bell and 19th. They did an awesome job for me. I just needed an oil change and in what seemed like just a half hour. I had my oil changed and they recomended not insisted i have the transmission fluid changed and told me why. They looked my car over and checked all fluids and the battery and tires.
