I came here hoping to knock out a quick oil change before getting a car wash…read more After the techs spent about 10 minutes trying to upsell me on items from the "inspection" that I didn't request, they informed me that they had already drained my oil but couldn't replace the filter because the skid plate bolts were stripped and they couldn't get it off. This was right after I heard their torque wrench audibly destroy the bolts. They admitted that they had indeed stripped out the bolts trying to remove them. To make it worse they told me that while they wouldn't charge for the oil filter they would still charge me for the oil. I explained that it makes no sense to pay for the oil if I have to go right back somewhere else and have it drained again in order to replace the filter. After arguing they went back down and worked on the bolts and were able to finally get them off and replace the filter. But now the bolts were stripped and they couldn't put the skid plate back on safely! They claim to have called around looking for new bolts but couldn't find any. They did their best to re-attach the skid plate with just a few partially stripped bolts. So now I have to go have the skid plate removed again and reattached with new bolts. And they charged me full price for everything even though they stripped my bolts. What should have been an easy oil change has note resulted in a big headache for me. Avoid this place!

There were only a few people working at the shop, but they seemed to be eager and enjoying their work. This usually translates to a pleasant interaction. Leaders teach by example and set the tone at work. Their lead was both professional and friendly. The oil change was very quick, as expected. The transmission service took some extra time, so after the oil change, they moved my car to another working lane. The lead was able to focus on my car while the rest of the crew kept at the oil changes. They do state inspection and emissions testing! They did two emissions jobs and probably 3 other oil changes in the time I was there. They kept a really good pace going. I had a great interaction at the counter, and was even offered a little coupon/discount to help with the combined cost. I will be back again. And I'll get my state inspections and license plate sticker done here, too!

After driving for two hundred plus, miles, several engine lights lit up, as the vehicle had leaked most of its oil. Fortunately, we had the vehicle towed to an authorized dealership, and the problem was solved before any serious damage. The dealership charge $280 for the diagnosis and replacement of the oil and securing the filter. When we addressed this problem with Jiffy Lube they, again, were extremely polite, but were unable to offer a refund, or possible compensation beyond a gift card for a future oil change. Unfortunately, Jiffy Lube is off our "buy list."

That said, having just made the first of many credit card payments for work I never would have had done given the full scope of what my vehicle needed, I feel compelled to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the actual work done here seems fairly competent, the diagnostic process seems about as accurate as playing darts blindfolded. I brought my car in because it was creaking misfiring, and the check engine light was on. I told them that I believed my engine mounts were worn out and that I also needed a diagnoses for the misfiring. They told me that the cause for the misfiring was likely that my spark plugs and ignition coils were worn out, because that usually happens around 100k miles and my vehicle was past that. I agreed to have them replaced along with new engine mounts, to the tune of $2,600. I was told that after this my vehicle would be like a totally different car. The very next day, my car misfired again and the check engine light came back on. When I brought it back, they informed me that they don't have any way of knowing this fo sure, but I probably actually had a blown head gasket. I brought my car to a different mechanic shop who did a full and complete diagnostic from bumper to bumper and took photos of everything wrong with the car- from a blown head gasket to a leaking transmission to almost completely worn wheel bushings and a host of other problems totaling over $8,200 in addition to the $2,600 I had already paid at Red Rock Auto. Had I known this in the first place, I never would have paid $2,600 on a doomed old van that needed almost $11,000 in work done. I had to buy a new van and that $2,600 would have really helped with the down payment. I'm tempted to say that I feel duped, but I don't think there was any malice or fraud going on- just general laziness or incompetence in the diagnostic process that very negatively affected me.

Several leaks detected but for some reason added expensive coolant/refrigerant (3x higher rate than Auto Zone) after leaks detected via dye. Added expensive refrigerant without permission/discussion. Added refrigerant that just leaked out within 24 hrs! Charged $500 to add refrigerant without discussion. On top of it all- it was the manager Zack who was overseeing the work. Overall, feel like Zack and Big O wanted my money over anything else and didn't communicate with me about the leaks before adding the refrigerant. I'm no better today than I was yesterday and $500 down. Big O can make this better by refunded me the cost of the refrigerant.

Zane, Patrick, and Tavion helped me and they were all super kind and explained things well. I like valvoline for oil changes cause you can stay in your car. The whole service probably took like 15 minutes. They always email coupons and sometimes for 20% which makes this affordable for an oil change. I love valvoline and this location was great!!

Went to get an oil change on my truck. Overall you could tell the moral was low. They were all…read moremoving very slow. Which is fine I get it, it was towards the end of the day. But, I started my truck and a warning light when on. We were able to figure out that a cord got cut while my air filter was getting inspected. The manger was very helpful and we fixed it. I am writing a review because I want to warn others that some of the employees are lazy and are not careful.
