Nope, won't be going back and can't warn enough about going here based on the experience I had with 2 vehicles. Have come here for years but these technicians are not knowledgeable or in my opinion qualified to work on any vehicle. 1 vehicle was left with a vacuum hose fully disconnected (from when the took out my air filter to show me) causing me to stall out on the highway with my kids in the car. After spending the time to get my kids and car home and diagnosis the check engine light- spent a couple hours fixing their carelessness. Come to find out the following morning that the oil plug was loose and not secured leaking oil. Mess in the driveway, more time and work to clean up complete ineptness. Since I had had my other vehicles oil changed here the previous day, I go back and amazingly find this vehicles plug also loose and leaking! There was literally one job to do, which is apparently is there specialty and calling card and the work was more embarrassing then could be imagined. On top of that I sent an email to the locations management to ask if they planned on doing anything to make the situation right with the unplugged vacuum hose and leaking plug. I received no response. No acknowledgement whatsoever. Please heed my advice and DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION. read more

Walked in through the front door for an oil change. After waiting around for 4 minutes listening to employees casually chatting in the garage I realized they weren't going to come out anytime soon. Left without anyone acknowledging me. I own a new home in the area where we will live at least 10 years. We have 2 cars. At 4 oil changes a year, that's $4000 that will be spent at a competitor as i take my business elsewhere, or $1000 for each minute I went ignored, hope they were doing something important. read more

John was able to pinpoint a high dollar issue (engine harness leak) with my previous Ford escape during a routine oil change, a diagnostic that took the local dealership almost a week to locate. Recently sold our car and the day we had to sell the battery failed we drove to o'reily auto parts and they told us we needed a new alternator (he didn't want to replace the battery as it was still within warranty). My wife called grease monkey, they said they would take a look at it. Drew was very helpful to my wife who in fact told her it was the battery that was the issue. He then proceeded to do a full vehicle inspection, replace all our fluids and offered to install the new battery for free. We stopped by for an oil change this morning. By the time we got it home, less than a mile away, it was smoking badly. They had spilled oil all over the engine compartment. Bait and switch... I called and was told $72.00 for 2014 Toyota Sienna. I arrive and told $92.00. Fine I have a coupon for $7 off and free wiper blades (figure this will make up for it). Then they tell me they don't have wiper blades for my Toyota Sienna. The most sold minivan in the US. "I can't give you what I don't have" the quote from the manager. They've done the last 3 oil changes on our car. First oil change went great. Second oil change, not so much. We told them we had oil leaking at the third oil change. They found my cars oil plug threads got stripped. They told my wife it was because my car had 150k miles. Then they accused me of stripping my own oil plug or taking it to someone that did it even though I told them they were the only ones to touch it. Now we need to replace our oil pan, which we are going to do through anyone else. Terrible business with terrible management. read more

I came to get an oil change on a Friday. I had a minor oil leak and they told me about it and proceeded to do the oil change very quickly. I had to make a 1hr drive on Tuesday so I needed the oil change and got it. That Tuesday I blew my engine due to no oil in my car. Normally when I would change the oil myself it goes months without needing to be filled or changed. So it very much surprised me that after 3 DAYS getting an oil change from them I blew my engine. Had to get my car towed from Bennett. read more

My husband had his oil changed at this location. Immediately afterwards, the car was leaking on the driveway. My husband took the car into the dealership to get it checked out and it turns out that the plug was stripped (and a different plug was out in without our knowledge.) Turns out that the only way to fix this is to replace the whole pan. Grease Monkey (those funky monkeys) accepted responsibility for "over-torquing" the plug and did the repair, however they sucked another $75 from us for another oil change that wouldn't have been needed if they hadn't damaged the oil pan! I think the thing that is so aggravating is that they claim that this "happens" over the course of many oil changes. I've had many vehicles with more mileage/oil changes and have never had the issue. It "happens" when a technician is careless. One star for making the repair, but that's about the only thing that they did right. read more

I took my 2015 Ford Escape to this location in February for an oil change. I'd never had any problem with the car in the three years I owned it. When they asked if there was anything else they could look at on the car, I told the technician I had a "hill assist" warning light on which had no effect on the car performance, but they then advised I needed a new battery to shut the light off. I agreed to have them do that. It is now mid-May and the car has not run since. This franchise and their parent company Full Speed Automotive (headquartered in the Denver tech center in Greenwood Village) have hidden behind an insidious insurance company in Kansas City named "intrepid" insurance. These incompetent and corrupt people made a couple of phone calls and determined that Full Speed/Grease Monkey had ZERO responsibility for my car now not running and needing an $1800 repair for a new electrical system. The Ford dealer they took my car to - (Brighton Ford) were the only folks that actually communicated with me - they were great. I heard from no one at Full Speed/Grease Monkey until I reached out and found names of local management. The Ford dealer service tech sent a letter basically saying I was being screwed - the Full Speed/Grease Monkey folks took a car running perfectly, got into the electrical system and now the car needs to have it replaced. Neither they or their "insurance company" will provide a reason why they will not take ANY responsibility for their malpractice. I will advise anyone and everyone I know as well as communicate my story out however I can to avoid this company completely. This treatment of any customer, now 10 weeks old, is a disservice to all of the stakeholders in the company. Intrepid Insurance is an absolute joke as well and should not be licensed as an insurance company. Customer Service is in a sad state these days, and this company doesn't care. read more

I've been a long time customer of Grease Monkey but from now on I will not be returning. I went to get an oil change and when I pulled up there were a lot of cars there, which is fine I can wait. But after 20 mins of waiting in my car, no one came out to help me or see what I needed. So, I drove away to another grease monkey (where I had an even worse experience) long story short, the other location was out of the oil that my car takes. They said to call the 136th location so I did. The guy told me they had the oil needed for my car. So I drove all the way back. Only to find out they didn't actually have the oil. And then they suggested that I go to O'Reiley across the street and buy the oil myself, bring it back and they would charge me labor to do the oil change. That would be like Starbucks asking me to go to King Soopers and get my own cream for my coffee. Do I look like a mechanic? You're an auto shop. Maybe if you're out of the oil, go buy it yourselves to have it in stock. It's not their fault they were out of product but the way that they went about it. They were not nice or apologetic. This ruined my day. Now I have to find somewhere else to get an oil change but that's fine. They need some serious improvements in their customer service. read more

I took my car do a mechanic after I got this oil change and he said the "new synthetic oil" they had put in looked like tar and it also looked like the car hadn't gotten an oil change in years. He also said at any moment my engine could have been busted because it had less than 1 L of oil in it. They charged me 100$. Such a rip off never go there unless you like wasting money and letting dumb, useless people do an "oil change" if that's what you even call that trash. read more

WOW. Talk about RUDE. I just called to get a quote for an oil change and tire rotation for my 2014 Honda Accord and cannot believe how awful they were. First, they want $110 for a simple oil change and tire rotation (wtf?) and when I was surprised by the expense I told him I have had it done at the dealership for less than that and asked if they matched prices. Before I could even get the words out of my mouth he cut me off with "No we do not, NO WE DO NOT MATCH PRICES." And for the record, the 'gentleman' I spoke to was named Mike, in case management keeps up with reviews. Really glad I called before going in. You will not get my business. UPDATE: I got the exact same service done at Big O Tires on 120th for $36. That is over $70 LESS than this scam place wanted. Grease Monkey LIED and told me I would need full synthetic oil. I checked my service records along with asking Big O Tires and my car absolutely does NOT require full synthetic oil. Another Yelper mentioned the same scam that they tried to force synthetic oil on her too. read more

Outrageous! I went here because it was across the street from my house and I was really overdue for an oil change. So this is partially my fault for procrastination. However, $89 for an oil change is way overpriced. Plus they charged me another $14 for the oil filter. The price might not have been so bad if they did a multi point inspection, but they didn't, they didn't even top off my wiper fluid. I asked if they would rotate the tires, the guy said sure, for another $20. They did wash the exterior windows for no additional cost. Oh, and beware of the pesky add on sales they want you to get, like AC recharge and coolant flush and fill. How would they know my vehicle needed those things if they didn't check? My advice, never, ever go here! Unless you have deep pockets and don't mind paying more for less than subpar services. read more

They are just around the corner from where I live, but it's not only for that reason, that they will continue to have my business. I went and got my oil changed on Friday and two days later im coming back from the royal gorge and the skid plate falls halfway off and starts scraping on the highway and the heat shield cover completely flies off and Grease Monkey claims that they didnt do anything wrong according to their "cameras" how do you tell a bolt is completely tightened by a camera? You can't. I WILL NEVER BRING BUSINESS HERE AGAIN and am reporting them to the better business Bureau and am calling channel 7 news to report their negligence and horrible customer service. read more

The oil change guy didn't perform any of the "full service" tasks except the oil change and checking my tire pressure after I asked him to twice. I drove the car home and checked my other fluids and they weren't filled. I didn't get the windshield wash, air filter inspection, battery test, exterior light checks, didn't check my differential fluid - just says N/A on my printout, didn't check wiper blades, etc. Then, I went right back to the location and the manager was extremely rude and trying to gaslight me into thinking I was wrong. By the way, the "manager" was working on drilling a hole in the hood of a crappy red car, never walked by to check on his employees work. Finally, after talking to him for 10 minutes, he gave me a refund. I have been going to this location for over 5 years and was always happy until now. I will never go to another Grease Monkey location and will be sure to tell all my friends and family know this story. So disappointing that your employees take advantage of its customers. read more

These guys charge a fair price for their services. I'm visiting my mother-in-law this weekend and the CEL light came on in my MIL's "backup car" -- an 2001 Subaru that she keeps around for us to borrow when we are in town. Since i work on my cars at home in CA, I realized that a quick way to figure out what was wrong was to stop by Autozone and have them pull the code with their OBD2 reader for free (at home, I would have just used my own). As I suspected, one of the O2 sensors was going out (upstream of the cat according to the code -- OBD2 cars are nice like that). I know that even if I had cleared the code, the problem would eventually come back and my MIL would be at the mercy to dealing with it herself. The sensor itself is fairly easy to access (not as easy as a 4cyl honda) but requires that you get at it from underneath the car. Since my MIL doesn't even have a car jack/stands, I wasn't terribly excited about swapping it myself. The car was due for an oil change anyway so I figured I'd look for a shop that was willing to charge me a fair amount for the incremental effort of swapping the upstream O2 sensor while they already were under the car for the oil change. Unlike a few other shops i checked out, these guys offered a fair price on the phone -- a lower price if they could do it from the oil pit and a slightly higher price if they needed to put it on the lift. Besides the standard upsell offers I'd expect from any oil and lube shop (better oil, etc) which I politely declined, they did the work and stuck to their price! In comparison: - Sears refused to install parts they didn't buy themselves OR allow me to just get under their lift and swap the part myself. They also wanted to charge more for a "standard oil change" until I asked why their most basic "maintenance package" (the ones with various metal names platinum/gold/etc) was $5 cheaper AND included a free air filter. IMO, that's shady. - Service Street: immediately tried to discount my ability to read an OBD2 reader and wanted me to do pay them for a diagnostic first. When I stated that I'll take the risk of swapping out a potentially unnecessary part myself and just asked them to quote me a labor price to swap out this O2 sensor, they immediately went to the shop book and quoted 1.5 hours @ $125/hr. I laughed and hung up because even though I couldn't swap this part out myself without some additional tools, it's immediately obvious from looking at the manifold that you didn't need to unbolt the entire manifold to swap this stupid sensor. Bottom Line: If you know what you need, these guys are a fair shop with friendly and polite staff. I'm sure I'll be back. -g read more

I was shocked when I was asked to pay $66 for a "basic" oil change. I walked away feeling taken advantage of. No prices were quoted prior to service. When I called and spoke with Floyd (the Manager) he gave me a long drawn out story that had nothing to do with my complaint. He talked down to me, was condescending, and clearly just wanted me to go away quietly. Their prices change every time my family goes there. I feel as though this business has shady business practices and is unethical. They will never receive any more of my business. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more
