Bad from the start! I brought my 2007 Caravan in for a complete oil, oil filter and any other service the van might need before our drive to California. First off, I told the tech there are 2 air filters (at least I thought) for a Caravan, 1 inside cabin and the 1 in the engine area (i am not savvy in this area). Five techs standing around couldn't figure out where the air filter went on a Dodge caravan, I didn't realize how exotic my minivan was. I pulled it up online (on my phone) and showed them. I also informed them my power steering made loud sounds and I believed needed fluid. I was assured it would be topped off and was charged, I think $25 or more for that top off. When I took possession of the car, I immediately found oil stains on the door handle, fine I'll clean it before the trip anyhow. I start driving, make a turn, I hear the loud sound from the power steering. I think about it and say well, maybe it needs to pump through the system. Nope, an hour later, same problem. I take it back, they check, told me they topped it off again, no problem. About 2 hours later, we're on our way out of Tucson, when the car starts overheating (first time ever) luckily due to living in Tucson, I have my jug of water. I pop the cap on the radiator, bone dry, I check the reservoir, bone dry. Luckily we're at 6th and I-10 area, I pop in and purchase coolant. Problem solved. Bottom line is these grease monkeys did a terrible job, there was 1 more incident with the oil filter , but I can't prove their wrong doing, I'll just say I'm suspect. I went to this location for convenience, from now on I'll make the drive and pay the price for a real mechanic. read more

I usually try not to post negative reviews, but this one rendered one. Super nice to ya until they give you the bill. I got ripped off $20 because they conveniently forgot to tell me that 88,000 was high mileage, and therefore performed the $50 oil change versus the $30. Looked at my last invoice, still considered high-mileage, and got the $30 change last time. When I inquired about my $78 bill (+ air filter, which I agreed upon), they just sat there and looked at me. "Will that be debit, maam?" Avoid this place at all cost....there's a reason why a man picketed this place as a scam business....now I know why. Adios rip-off monkey!~ read more

I had my engine oil and filter changed at the Grease Monkey at 7110 E. Golf Links Rd., Tucson, Arizona. I watched the employee add my Mobile 1 full synthetic oil. Mobile 1 says on the container 15,000 miles of protection between oil changes but 6000 miles later I decide to change the oil myself. When I got to removing the filter(which on a F-150 5.4 V-8 is not easy), the filter was all banged up, like someone had beat it with a hammer or put channel lock pliers on it to try and remove it. So I have been driving with the same oil filter for 10,000 miles. Grease Monkey charged me for a new filter which they didn't install and did not inform me that they couldn't get the old filter off. It was not hard to remove for me if you get the right tool and get in the right position. I am sure this was not good for my engine but how do I prove it?? Honestly, I don't care how long it takes and if they charge me more because the filter is hard to access but JUST DO IT RIGHT. Jeff Medsker read more

On march 19 2016 went to grease monkey to get my oil change told the associate that I had a small crack in my radiator that I was having fixed in a few days. He took my car started cleaning my windows when he came and said he could not service my car because the crack in my radiator was to close to his employee that they could get hurt. Every time my wife or daughter go there they try to rip them off on some unneeded service, I can go back with the same vehicles with out any problems. This has been going on for years. They have something in for women who don't know anything about vehicles. Now every time I go with them to make sure they don't try to get them to pay on some other unwanted services. When I go to jiffy lube, the problems we were told about at Grease monkey are not Even brought up. Be careful at grease Monkey they have a auto repair next door that they work with that they will send you to that will rip you off on expensive repairs that aren't needed. I went in for an oil change and came out with inside tire wall damage. After the oil change my air warning light came on so I added air to the tire but it kept leaking. Took it to Tire Discounters and found a slash on the inside. read more

This review is for this specific Grease Monkey location, as I have unfortunately found out they are not all the same. Rich, the assistant manager really helped me out and I am grateful! This is why: I went to get an oil change at a different location on Thursday, as I was going to Las Cruces on Saturday. Luckily, I checked the oil Saturday morning before I left. It was very low so I checked under the truck and could feel oil was leaking. I headed to the Grease Monkey on Golf Links and Kolb to see if they could help me out, since that location was on my way. Rich was awesome. He looked it over and was quite surprised to find the other location had put in the wrong gasket (a plastic one that cracked - rather than the required aluminum). The oil level was even lower. He took care of it all at no charge and I was on my way. Much better than the alternative - we all know what happens if your oil all leaks out while you are driving...Thank you Rich! read more

BEWEARE: the 'manager' Julio is anything but a manager. He will bully, demean, and sell you stuff you don't need. They didn't change my filter, twice. I know this because I marked it, and both times after I got my oil changed I found the same, (dirty) filter. Also, I had my wonderful brother in law, do my oil change this last time, and said that the oil was so thick and black that it looks like they just topped me off and didn't drain it at all. And it's not like I ignore basic oil changes, I get them done every 3,000 mile or three months. There is a lack of customer service here, and the management has something to do with it. When my mom called about everything, (I couldn't just because I wS so mad, I would have flipped on them) JULIO had the audacity to tell my mom that 'us females don't know what we are talking about' and 'sorry SWEETIE, I can't do anything about it.' Nice customer service. We contacted the owner who seems like a really nice guy, unfortunately, he has the wrong people running the place. I learned how to do my oil change myself now, and my car hasn't ran this good since I bought it. Hmm....imagine that. read more

Normally they are on top of things but they said I needed a transmission flush when I just had one. They are normally military friendly and give the military discount. This time though they did not apply it. I'm normally a faithful customer. read more

They weren't kidding about the fast oil change! Quick and efficient. I needed to get both my cabin air filters changed so it ended up being a bit pricey but I was overall impressed. Plus one of my car tires was filled too much and they fixed that, and my car was a royal mess and they vacuumed as well! Definitely would go back. read more
