Ate dinner with my family at Great American Saloon tonight. To start, the rolls and butter are just wonderful. The rolls were hot, and I think the butter had honey and cinnamon...just delicious. The food was awesome. We each had something different and we all loved our meals. To finish, we had the cookie skillet and ate every bite. Landon was our server and he was terrific! On March 1, 2026 myself, my stepdaughter and a very good friend went to this restaurant to celebrate my stepdaughters birthday. We all wanted to sit in the bar area to have dinner and drinks (the only one ordering alcohol was the birthday girl) and we had presumed we could get happy hour prices from 4-6 pm . This was on Sunday, and my mistake was not knowing that they had opened at 11am. However the problem arose when my friend, who is disabled (she has a rod in her back) asked the young women at the front door whether they had a table available in the bar area, as there would be 3 of us dining and due to her disability she was unable to sit on the barstool. However, the birthday girl would still like to enjoy happy hour prices! Immediately my friend was shut down in a very condescending manner, and told we don't do that! Only people who sit at the bar get happy hour prices. My friend then asked these young ladies to please get their manager, she would be going to the ladies room and would like to speak with a manager upon her return. One of the girls asked her would she like to be walked to the bathroom? She was advised that wasn't necessary, just please provide a manager. I clearly let these young girls know that my friend was not looking for preferential treatment, not looking for a favor, this is THE LAW! One cannot discriminate against the disabled! Now yes, it turns out that we were not in the hours where we could get happy hour prices, and that was absolutely fine. But these young women need to be schooled on the ADA . As it turned out, the manager was a lovely, knowledgeable and kind woman who knew her job well. She explained that they had opened at 11am, therefore happy hour had ended (we arrived at 4pm). But she was professional and courteous. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. My complaint is with the door staff not being made aware of ADA laws and that they are in fact not something they can choose to ignore or enforce at their own discretion. read more

My wife and I went here for lunch. I got the American burger and she got the chicken parm sandwich because she's fancy. Food was great! The service was awesome, Kim did a really great job! And I really liked all of the great American decorations that were around. I definitely recommend you try them out. I will be back , because I still have things to do in the area. I have been a loyal regular at this restaurant for years, dining here at least 1-2 times every week. Unfortunately, my experience for my husband's birthday party was incredibly disheartening due to a total management failure. Despite the website explicitly stating that the banquet room offers semi-private seating for 25-45 guests and a limited menu "best suited for groups of 20-30," the manager on duty was completely dismissive. When we arrived with our group of 20, we were told it was "take it or leave it" regarding being seated on the main floor. The manager stated she didn't care that we had tried to coordinate the day before, claiming the room was only for groups of 40+. To make matters worse, that room sat completely empty the entire night while our party was squeezed into a corner of the main section. Beyond the seating, we were served a drink in a chipped glass from the bar, and one guest's meal was so delayed they didn't get to eat until the rest of the party was finished. The only reason I am not giving a 1-star review is because of the waiting staff. Every single server and staff member we interacted with was amazing. They were professional, kind, and worked incredibly hard to save the evening despite the hurdles management put in their way. The waitstaff even apologized to us several times throughout the night for us not being in the room--they clearly recognized how wrong the situation was, even if management didn't. We know most of the staff by name and consider them friends, which makes it even harder to say that we may not return. It's a shame to see such a hardworking floor team let down by a manager (Ms. Hale) who treats loyal local patrons like a nuisance. read more

Never disappointed in the delicious food at Great American Saloon. The service is always exceptional and I enjoy the Saloon's atmosphere.

If anything the service just keeps getting better! Did a delayed Valentines dinner with the wife, Ashley W. was our server and worked with us and the kitchen on what could be made without a common ingredient I'm allergic to. Food was superb! The rigatoni with chicken was spiced to the level I like, and the chicken was melt in your mouth. Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner is the quiet time, not too busy. We split a bowl of the crab soup, and after the first taste the spoons clanking sounded like and old movie sword fight as we raced to get our share! read more

This was my second visit to. Great American Saloon and the first was about a year ago with a large group. Stopped by with 2 friends for a fun night and it was! We began with a drink and friend #1 got a mocktail that looked lovely. Friend #2 had a cherry cosmo. She said it was good but too sweet. That happens. My Berringer's white zin was terrific because it was Berringer's white zin. I love it. Friend #1 got chicken Madeira- a generous portion of chicken breast and mushrooms and mozzarella covered in gravy / sauce with asparagus and served atop a mountain of mashed potatoes. She offered some and I took advantage of that. It was delish and I will order that next time! Friend #2 got cream of crab soup. She said it wasn't as thick as it should be but flavor was ok. She asked for a taste of the lobster bisque, thinking of taking it home for her son. She didn't think it was good and when I tasted it I could taste the lobster flavor, but over all, we decided it would be good to use to hold up wallpaper. It was like thick flour and water with some lobster flavor thrown in. On to my dinner- I had a great burger. I was disappointed that they didn't have the variety of burgers on the menu that were in the online menus, but it was a good burger! It came with cheese, breaded fried onions, cheese ( I switched to provolone from the normal cheddar), one lettuce leaf and BBQ sauce, which I got on the side. Good burger, nice portion and it came with yummy crisp fries. It hit the spot and was big enough that I had the other half for lunch the next day. Our server, Ashley, was attentive and helpful and let us finish our drinks and chat ( make that laugh and yell) with no rush. Later on a manager came by to ask how our meals were. She was very sweet and looks like she's maybe 13 years old! I asked her about one of their side dishes called baked pineapple and she described it to us. Friend #1 ordered it as a dessert for us to share. It wAs scrumptious! I'd definitely get that next time I go back. The place is loud, the decor has lots of animal heads and fun antique kinds of things to look at. Although I'm not into hanging parts of dead animals on the wall, it's kind of kitschy, and not seriously, hear look at this dead animal. Overall, it's a fun place to go with friends for a fun dinner. You don't have to be concerned about making too much noise with raucous friends because you'll blend right in! A nice place to have a good meal and a good time. read more

We decided to go to our local fav- The First Post but they had a 2 hr wait and we didn't want to wait so we left. On the way out a very nice gentleman recommended Great American Saloon, he said that the owners were the same and the food was amazing and he was headed there too bc he didn't want to be on the 2hr wait list at First Post. Both me and my husband were like well if the owners are the same the food will probably be the same too and decided to try this place! I first off have to praise our hostess- Ariyanna! She was absolutely fantastic. Like true definition of a perfect host! She kept checking on us, super friendly, attentive to detail, made great recommendations! She was amazing. As for food- spot on. Dinner rolls amazing. Reuben Roll- amazing, like if they made this into a sandwich I'd probably order one every week. Get this. Cream of crab soup- I was initially hesitant but Ari was like there's tons of crab in it and she was definitely not kidding. Chunks of crabs in the small cup of soup. It was so flavorful, definitely a winter fall soup. MUST try. Definitely getting this again next time. American Burger- was very good! Get the saloon sauce on the side if you're not a big sauce person, glad Ari recommended that bc the sauce was a bit overwhelming. It's like a thousand island sauce. Other than that great classic burger. Gnocchi Carbonara- I'm not a big gnocchi person but my husband loved it. I personally loved the chicken and shrimp. It was seasoned so perfectly. If you like gnocchi get it this! Then we got a steak with a side of mashed potatoes and baked beans. Average steak. If you are a fan of the First Post you'll love this place. I think the menu here might have more things but some of the items are the same as the First Post. Definitely same quality of food and similar atmosphere. Definitely recommend this place to others! Went from the best lump crab cakes to the worst. Recently changed crab cakes. Now it's almost all filled and no crab.

Food is terrible! Service is terrible! We have tried on 3 separate occasions to get a meal without one successful trip. Without exaggeration, every single time we have ordered our food to go, it has been an epic fail. Each time the order was half complete, or the entre / steak was substituted with a different cut but no one bothered to mention that. Med well steaks are blue rare with hard white uncooked fat, signature sauce that tops the steak missing. Seafood that tops the steak never made it on. Save your hard earned money and go to a different restaurant. read more

Been there a few times. The food has always been spectacular. It's not gourmet, but the portions are exceedingly large and everything is always cooked appropriately. The place is jampacked every time weve been there for dinner. The service was very good as well, especially with needy/particular family members. It was our first time visiting this establishment. We were greeted and taken immediately to our table. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. My husband and I both ordered the steak sandwich special. We were given complimentary rolls and cinnamon butter. The decor was fitting for the restaurant. It was extremely clean. Good food, my steak was perfectly cooked a proper medium. I had asparagus for a side, I would pick another if I had it to do again. The seafood chowder was very good as were my mashed potatoes. My wife had the salmon which was also tasty and well prepared. Our server was excellent, but it was obvious he was busy. Like most businesses they must struggle with staffing. It's an interesting place with many animal heads hanging on the walls (if that kind of thing bothers you. It's not too noisy there so we were easily able to converse through the meal. Don't you hate paying for a top price entree and it's lousy? Even the baked sweet potato was undercooked....we will not return. I can find better in a local diner for a third of the price. Reservations for Thanksgiving dinner I was excited not to cook clean up or buy groceries. I started with a pumpkin martini salt on the rim ruined that idea My husband ordered hot tea which was barely warm sad My son ordered ham dinner which the menu aside came with cranberry sauce / which the manager insisted it . Our waitress hardly waited on us because she apparently had other jobs she had to do there. The salad lettuce was limp Way to many onions / strong Gravy for the potatoes was weird it looked yellow and tasted funky The green beans small and barely cooked . I was very disappointed in the whole crab cake and dinner. My whole family was a bit sad it wasn't up to the meals we've had which is many in the past. Bad decision in not cooking a meal myself. The waitresses were to helpful after the pumpkin martini. The waitress whom first brought it said it did seem a bit salty to her. I am now wondering if she samples. Food; the rolls were as hard as a damn rock, and cold. The Mac'n cheese was highly over seasoned. Didn't ask for rolls and STILL got them, AND got charged to. The salad was nasty af. Really bummed we came for Happy Hour and there were no seats so we were seated right by the bar but not given the opportunity to have happy hour specials. Explanation was "available at bar" hmmm if you do not have seating why is that the customers fault :( read more

1st time here...... Food was outstanding!!! Service was perfect!!! Thank you Kristen! ( Our waitress ). The ONLY issue ( which doesn't really matter ) we were told 20-25 mins for the table, but waited 45 mins.... But the wait was worth it. We had the fried Mac-n-cheese to start and I had the Ribeye Tuscan steak, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. In today's Craft Beer craze, they were slightly lacking, but a selection of about 6 drafts and another 8-10 bottled brews. I totally recommend this place. We'll def be back and start taking our visitors from out of town here. read more
