It was pretty good. The beer battered shrimp was crunchy but still a tad too soft for me and the grilled lobster tail was solid but not worth the price point imo. Altogether it was again, pretty good but nothing I'd write home about. Good customer service.

Ribeye steak sandwich with Jack and chilies

Yes I went out of my way a little just for this steak sandwich- that should speak volumes. So, my retired neighbor does me a solid every trash day and brings my trash cans in behind my gate after the truck passes. I never asked him to do this for me, he just grew up in a time and era where people did that type of thing. He must have seen me come home one day- it was late, dark, cold and miserably wet. My trash cans had blown all the way down to the other end of the neighborhood. When I finally found them, the wind had flipped the kids open and the rain had filled them with a fair amount of water. By the time I dragged them home, I was miserably wet, cold and dark! Needless to say, with all the wind we have had in El Paso these past few weeks, I am grateful to my neighbor for doing me a great favor. So, I must say thank you when I can and do something nice for him. I knew he was not feeling well lately and I was off today running errands, so I called ahead and ordered us some lunch- I wanted him to have something good. I ordered the rib eye steak sandwich and it is always a hit. The fries it comes with are pretty good too. They had my order ready on time and my neighbor devoured the entire thing... Bottom line- you have to say thank you to those who do for you!

This is by far my favorite burger in EP! The patty is thick and juicy. The flavor is just delicious. This place never disappoints

    Portobello Sandwich

I gotta give it to this place because they offer vegetarian options on their menu. That portobello sandwich was so good! The sweet potato fries not only looked good but they tasted good. The service was good, the waitress was proactive, helpful, and nice. Never needed to look for her to ask for any extra things as she was already asking if anyone was okay. The parking can get a bit hectic when it's a weekend but nothing impossible to pull off. Had reservations for our large party which made things way easier. Didn't have to wait out in the cold. Prices are reasonable and would come back again. Provecho!

Original Steakburger with sweet potato fries

We have read some good reviews for this place so we decided to give it a try. I had the signature burger (The Original Steakburger) with sweet potato fries and Steve had the Cheese & Mushroom Steakburger with steak fries. First off.... Yummy. The seasoning was flavorful but not too much. The sweet potato fries were waffled and not over salted. Steves burger was sloppy good. Steak fries were not too big and cooked well. The waitress was friendly. Next we will try a steak. This will go into our restaurant rotation.

    Battered Fish with NO COLESLAW!

Ordered for takeout and the coleslaw was missing from the battered fish dish, and, the cheese and onions from the steakburger dish. Very disappointed, especially when the dishes have a higher cost than most places. Contacted the manager and she said she would credit the items missing the next time we patronized Great American Steakburger. NOT GOING BACK!!!

SMH NO DRESSING NO CHEESE 3 boxes croutons!!

First and last time eating here and it definitely going to me our last. Not many customers in the place lots of empty tables (RED FLAG)! Very dated felt like I was eating at a school cafeteria. Ambiance is very important this needs a make over. Moving on the food was subpar the dinner rolls hard as a rock attempted to use the bread knife and wasn't able to get through. Butter was cold and solid, mash potatoes grey and gummy! Got the fish bites or should I say batter bites!! Fish was missing at sea. Cesar salad was 7$ small bowl of wilted lettuce no croutons and a faint taste of cheese!!! The charro beans missing every ingredient except for the beans and water!! This was definitely an epic fail!! Guess everyone else was enjoying a real steakhouse meat at Texas Chophouse!! Save your money, wait in line don't settle!!

Great food, service and manager Nick was awesome. New patio was beautiful. To top it off, a wonderful dessert to celebrate our anniversary!!

The service, food and manager Nick made this one of the best places to ever experience. Best place to celebrate an anniversary!! New patio is full of ambiance.

I am going to go ahead and say this was probably the best Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had. The meat was good and the batter was a nice egg wash. I was surprised with all the food it came with! When I said I wanted Rice Pilaf as a side I didn't know it would also come with beans, pineapple coleslaw, and bread! The sides were pretty good!

Everything was super tasty highly highly recommend the kimchi pancake. Flavor was spectacular and perfectly crispy/crunchy. The squid entree was very tasty too just a little too many peppers for me. Would get again if I didn't want to try other things. Value is really great for how much food I got. Yes we really over ordered (2 apps 2 entrees for 2 people) but still all the plates were big. Perhaps only downside is that the dining area is pretty small. I would expect them to outgrow their little storefront quickly. I'd come back next time I travel to El Paso.

It was a bit uncomfortable with how loud it was and sitting next to strangers not being able to have a comfortable conversation with the person in front of you. The food was really good! I enjoyed the tteokbokki so much and I feel like as simple as this dish is, a lot of places sometimes miss. Again I know it isn't their fault maybe the day I came in it was really busy and maybe it's not that busy usually but I would have liked to be in a bigger space.

The brisket was perfect with a great salt and pepper bark, juice meat with some great marbling. The Habanero sausage was pretty mild but had just a little kick while allowing the fruity notes of the habanero come through. The sides were also excellent as was the complementary corn bread. This is the barbecue that does not need the sauce it's that good! Service was really good. Considering what they are doing here with regards to helping homeless people get back on their feet it was excellent service. Thick slices with a beautiful smoke ring, deep flavor, and that perfect balance of tenderness and structure. It was juicy without being greasy, and the bark had just the right bite. The brisket sandwich was equally satisfying. Simple, honest, and generous, with crisp onions and a soft bun that let the meat shine. The ribs had great flavor, but were a bit on the dry side during this visit. Still enjoyable, but the brisket definitely stole the show. Sides were a mix. The green beans were outstanding. Easily some of the best I've had at a barbecue spot. Full of flavor and clearly cooked with care. The beans and cornbread were solid and comforting. The coleslaw, though, didn't quite stand out and was the only item I'd probably skip next time. The space itself adds to the experience. Open, casual, and unpretentious. It feels like a place focused on doing barbecue right rather than trying to be trendy. FYI: You order first & they bring out the food to you. Overall, Hallelujah BBQ is absolutely worth visiting, especially for the brisket and those green beans. I'll definitely be back.

As a regular meat eater, it's not necessarily the type of restaurant I would be attracted to but the service & meal was very pleasant. Jake was on point with his service & recommended the daily specials - which included the "meat"ball sub sandwich with salad. I also opted in for the Mac & Cheese appetizer because it sounded great. Ordered a manzanita drink (drink selection is a little different than many other restaurants). The Mac & Cheese appetizer was delicious! Actually, my favorite part of the meal! The sub sandwich came with a simple green salad that was a nice combo. The sandwich bread was soft & warm and included meatballs covered in sauce & melted cheese. Not bad at all but due to my own personal preference the meatballs weren't my personal favorite. In the future, I think I'll lean toward options that don't feature "meat" because of my preference but for those who look for or prefer vegan options, go visit Jake & check out this new downtown El Paso eatery!
