Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The new location within the Bell Works Chicagoland campus is a thing of beauty. The design aesthetic is what you would expect from a high end brand like GNO and the best part is that they make it feel inviting and like home. Just like at home, we kicked off the evening in the kitchen area greeting friends and ordering drinks. I really liked that we had the option to cater food through a GNO catering partner or coordinate a pot luck amongst our friends. The hosts were amazing and it was an honor to have the man, the myth, the legend Alex live and in person with us! I am not the type to break out a board game for fun, but my friends and I agreed that GNO is on a different level and has a game to meet the knowledge, interest and physical ability of every player. 2 hours of fun, games and laughs flew by and each of our friends who attended for the first time were raving about their evening and how they were planning to tell their friends, family, and employers about GNO. It is obvious that the owners (Brandon & Aaron) have dedicated their time and talent to curating a unique experience that brings families and friends together. I don't know a lot of people that have done this first hand, but now that I've tried it, I see the appeal of it being a sport that I enjoy watching and participating in. There are three lanes to play on, and the staff are friendly ambassadors of the sport. If you've never played, you are made to watch a short instructional video. You'll also need to sign a waiver before participating. There's a learning curve to curling, but once you're on the ice, it's fun. The instructors do a great job of teaching you the lingo, the skills, and get you started with relative ease. For those that are not as flexible or have knee issues, they have sticks to help push the rocks. Everything is provided by the club to play so just bring some comfortable clothes and a light jacket. I don't know of any other curling places so scratch that itch and see what it's all about!

I liked many things about this spot like the parking wasn't too difficult, the attendant was very nice and helpful, and the overall quality of the room I thought was good. There was a considerably amount of red herrings here that prevented the room from being solved too quickly - definitely promoting better communication and teamwork, and great attention to detail in order to successfully solve the rooms. I liked the wide variety of different puzzles available and the vastly different feel to each room. Overall, fun experience and although not cheap -- I feel the effort put into designing the room justifies the cost. I would do more experiences here again in the future with more friends.

I went to Panic Escape Room with some friends and had a fun time. I didn't know what to expect…read moregoing in. When we arrived they played a video explaining that you shouldn't break things. Then we entered the escape room to play the game. We had no explanation and barely got an introduction video. The escape room itself was fun. I won't describe it so I won't give anything away but we had a fun. We did not escape, and were not really close to escaping but it was a great team activity for our group.
