In addition to playing mini golf, you're trying to solve various riddles at each hole to solve a mystery. I was hoping the prize for solving would be more interesting than a sticker, but it was still a pretty good time. I'd probably stick to Puttshack next time I wanna play mini golf, though. For the escape room, my boyfriend and I did Mystery Manor. With the additional price of unlimited hints (I think this helped), our price for two was around $100. I thought it was pretty expensive, but after the experience, I do think it was pretty worth it. There were many nuances to the escape room, which included various rooms and additional spaces you unlock by solving each part. At the end, they offer to take a picture for you and give you a little envelope to open (if you get out). Overall, positive experience! I'd return for the escape room.

Out of maybe the 5 or 6 different places I've been to for an escape the room (some out of state, some around the area), this was my favorite one. With only 3 reviews seen on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to choose this place over so many others in the area. Groupon gave us a good price, so we went with this, and I'm glad we did. We did the "my crazy ex" room, which was great, and I hope to be back for the high school reunion, which the owner said had some scary features added to it. He said he used to work with haunted houses too, so I'm pretty interested in seeing what that one is like. It is similar to other escape the rooms where you find clues and input it in the locks to unlock the various locks in the room, but this was was so techy that they used other creative tactics to unlock boxes, drawers, etc. To be honest, I at first thought it was a little lame because I thought the person watching us just opened things with a press of a button when we did different actions, but I asked later on, and he showed us how different things worked. Hard to describe without giving spoilers of the room, but I'd have to say I was seriously mind blown about how creative things were and how fancy the technology was here. I loved this factor added into it. They have a 10 minute game that's only $5 a person on certain hours of weekdays, so we will most likely be back for this too! I definitely was hesitant at first to come here due to a few things (barely any Yelp reviews, homemade looking winner/loser signs/a few things that made it not look as professional or techy (the Hotmail email address :D....sorry, break escape for throwing you under here), but after experiencing their room, I'd really have to say there is a mastermind here who made these and put these rooms together. The place was empty for awhile until another group came in. I felt like it was really pricey at essentially $35/per person for an hour- over $100 for 3 of us. There's plenty of parking which is always a plus. As soon as you walk up to the entrance you'll see a sign for Odyssey. We came 15 minutes before our reservation time. During this time they just want to review the safety guidelines with you before they taken you into the room for your game. We did the "Towering Inferno" and unfortunately did not make it out alive. The rooms are clean and the staff are all friendly. I don't have other places to compare to but in my opinion I can say this place is low key in technology. When we first entered the room, a staff member gives you the plot by reciting the story. I guess I wanted a more dramatic storyteller but it felt like a low key lecture I guess? 2 people can definitely solve it but it would've been better if we had at least 3 or 4 people. For this challenge, I would say about half of it is solved on computers. The other half are lock combinations. At the end we were told the last bits of info of how we could have finished and escaped. They will take a picture for you inside the room at the end and also offer a group picture with signs in front of their Odyssey sign in the main lobby. I felt like this was a pretty good experience. Again, the space is clean and I am interested in coming back to try their other escape rooms. Don't try to walk-in, make sure to make a reservation on their site! Google for a discount code before you reserve a room. I also saw people mention something on Groupon for deals.

Not sure if that's the usual uniform or not, but he was friendly, showed us a few things, and it all worked out great for us. There's a small deposit to reserve your spot and you just pay the rest when you leave, which was easy. Just a heads up--it gets pretty warm inside, so definitely dress light because the AC isn't very strong. We were a little late and he still gave us some extra time, which we really appreciated. MY GUN WAS BROKEN 3 or 4 TIMES I MISSED BASICALLY HALF OF MY FIRST SESSION The level of professionalism from the staff was absolutely unacceptable. An employee actually joined the other team during our laser tag game and was openly cheating alongside them. My girlfriend's brother and his girlfriend were on that team, and the employee was telling them how to cheat and giving them information during the game. When my girlfriend spoke up about it, the employee argued with her before eventually being told to calm down. Watching an employee actively participate in cheating and then argue with a paying customer who called it out was ridiculous. Then we pointed out another person who was openly cheating. The person was eliminated and then stood around giving information to their team so they could know where people were. When I brought this to the employee's attention, I was basically told there was nothing they could do because the person "wasn't there." Then I was threatened with being kicked out if I continued to be "disrespectful." At that point, I wasn't even trying to argue anymore. My time was already basically up, so there was no point in continuing the conversation or asking for a refund. But the way my girlfriend and I were spoken to was completely unacceptable. There is a huge difference between enforcing rules and disrespecting customers. If an establishment has rules, enforce them fairly. If someone is cheating, address it. And if a customer has a legitimate complaint, have an adult conversation with them instead of arguing with them and threatening to kick them out. I'm a regular customer, and after this experience I can honestly say I have no reason to come back. I don't care about getting into an argument with a minimum-wage employee, and I certainly wasn't going to turn a stupid laser tag game into a physical confrontation. But that doesn't mean customers should have to sit there and tolerate being disrespected. I expect professionalism from businesses, and I expect employees to know how to de-escalate a situation rather than contribute to it. Battle House needs to seriously train its employees on customer service, conflict resolution, and enforcing its own rules fairly. Being a regular customer apparently means absolutely nothing when the staff is willing to treat you like this. Extremely disappointing. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Even though it was definitely a challenging room, we had an amazing time from start to finish! Our group included three kids ages 10 and under, and everyone was able to participate and have fun. The puzzles were engaging, the atmosphere was immersive, and it made for a great family activity. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. They really helped make our first escape room experience a memorable one.
