Food is great but really wish it had more of a sit down restaurant appeal. People are nice and the lunch prices are good and dinner a little high but there are not many good places to get Chinese food here. read more

This is our go-to Chinese restaurant in Rome. While the dining room is not impressive at all, the food is very good. I always order enough to have meals for days!! The one thing that bothers me is that the hot and sour soup is neither hot nor sour. Sadly, the reason is that customers didn't appreciate the correct recipe so the owners changed it. The food is delicious, and fantastic for the price (if you catch the Lunch Special). It is perhaps the best Chinese food I have tasted in Rome. Although you have to keep in mind, that isn't restaurant, it is a take-out place. You can call in your order and pick it up, but the problem is the language barrier. I have called in multiple orders and it is slightly frustrating that the language barrier is so horrible. At the time of this review (as a frequent customer) it appears the only person who can speak fluent English is one of the employee's daughter. Aside from that, you better be prepared to be repeat yourself at least three times, or show up to point out what you want on the menu. While the food is delicious, and the price is great when you make it to the lunch special. (Which comes with a soup and eggroll). Beware if you miss the Lunch Special (which ends at 3:30pm) because the price shoots up by nearly $5.00 minus the soup :( read more

Big portions, low prices, great taste, quick service, delivers of they're not too busy. A favorite.

Discovered it is open under new ownership and gave it a try. There are a few tables for those who want to eat in but it is really a take out place. The owners are friendly and the food is excellent and portions generous. By far the best Chinese place in town. read more

They have Amazing wings!!! The Chinese food is delicious as well. I forget about this place a lot but it's always really good. They are quick and a great solution to a good Dinner that you can pick up and take home in a hurry. read more

We get take out from Great China frequently and I have never experienced the language barrier that another reviewer describes. I have never had to repeat my order even once. Yes, the owners/employees do have an accent, but I've never had any problem communicating with them. They are courteous and very efficient. The food is good and this is our favorite Chinese place in Rome. The lunch special is definitely the best deal [the dinners are pricey, I agree]. Over all we have been very satisfied with this restaurant and the people who work there. read more

If I could give this negative stars I would! Do not waste your money here! Stopped in for takeout, spent 50$ There is literally NO meat in any items we ordered! Crab Rangoon had a dab of filling and were hard as a rock! Garlic pork was all broccoli, fried chicken wings were tiny and way over cooked to the point of jerky! Totally ruined the night getting gross food no one could eat! For 50 we would usually have leftovers for a fam of 3! If I lived closer I would have returned this for full refund! Never have I been more upset over food! These reviews must be fake because there's no way it was just a bad night! read more
