Imma be straight up when you walk in there you're hit with immediate confusion. The Chinese folk are continuously arguing with another and I don't know what they're saying, but it's gotta be pretty important anyways to the food. Disclaimer. The food here is always good. There have been some reviews stating the service is lacking. The couple who run this place work tirelessly. They obviously get slammed sometimes and struggle to keep up, but they always deliver good food, which is the most important thing. It is amazing how much of a difference 70 cents makes. Not even real fried rice....they use mexican yellow rice. Do not bother tipping, everything is served on styrofoam. Good egg drop soup is usually a light yellow color, almost an off white, you should not be able to feel the texture of the runniness of an egg. Well guess what? Bright yellow; taste like you are eating hot raw eggs -- disgusting. Kung pao chicken? Wet celery and carrots with sauteed dark chicken meat in soy sauce with RAW planters peanuts sprinkled on top. Some of the best take out Chinese you'll ever eat! This is my native cuisine and I am very picky when it comes to Chinese take out. There are usually only 2-3 people working at a time, so depending on when you drop in, the wait can be considerable. However, it is worth the wait as I've become a regular here after moving into town out 5weeks ago. read more

I love their pork fried rice. I wish I would have ordered something else, but out of the 976,000 times I've been here I always order that. I have been a customer for about 10 years, a couple of times my food was wrong and one time the owner was not nice about it, but they corrected it and I came back. The food is good! However, I do think the portions have decreased for lunch, the packaging is smaller. I usually order shrimp with chinese vegetables or moo goo gai pan, however the special Ting Tong shrimp is my favorite but more $. Husband likes twice cooked pork, daughter likes lo mein. I have be n coming here for 20 years since the place opened. I have not been back in a while and it looks like it has new owners. I order cashew chicken and it tastes burnt. I've been taking out from Great China for over 10 years. Food always good, last time I picked up dinner the owner was hand-rolling fresh egg rolls. Small business, husband/wife team, steamy open kitchen, definitely more geared towards take out and not eat in (although there are tables). TERRIBLE!!! That's all I can say in one word. This was the absolute WORST food I have ever bought out. I got Pepper Steak and when I finally quit trying to eat it, after only a few bites, it looked like piles of gum on my plate where I had tried to chew it up and had to spit it out. I quietly gave up and watched as my son ate his chicken dish. My 19 year old son suddenly pipes up and said, "This is not good. I can't eat it. The chicken is chewy and stringy." I was blown away that a business can exist with such rude people. I called to see if a delivery was possible. Before I could tell them that we will be there in a few minutes I was hung up on. My wife and I moved to the area seven months ago. This was the first place we ate at and we keep going back. The price is very reasonable and the portions are large. It is a family owned restaurant and they were running it for 20 years. I've seen their son lend a hand too sometimes. At the end of July the owners sold the restaurant and retired. It's a well deserved retirement. They were open seven days a week working from lunch to late dinner, making sure there was always good Chinese American food ready. They transferred the restaurant to a relative, so it remains in the family and the food is just as delicious. The new owner is just as friendly. I'm sure they passed down the needed knowledge! I only knew all this because I had them cater food for my wife's baby shower and we spoke for quite a bit. All of our guests loved the food! Don't expect any fancy authentic Chinese food. You can go to Duluth for that. This is some good comfort Chinese American food, crafted by an honest and friendly family. read more
