    17. Chicken with Noodle Soup
    Aley N.

Great soups for the price! I haven't found much else on the menu I like. Wonton soup was good and consistent. Thick wonton wraps and not a ton of filling. I haven't had this soup since I was a kid so maybe that's normal. Chicken with noodle soup was also good. Broth the same as wonton soup, or very similar.

We were in the mood for some chinese food and we already know we like this place so we decided to eat in one of their booths. The service was good, we were attended to very quickly and kindly. As far as the atmosphere it's just like any other takeout place, people coming in and out. The food was great. This was my first time trying chow mein, and it's my new favorite. Everything was very flavorful. This is our go to.

    7. Crab Rangoon

AMAZING. i love this place so much. if you order dine in crab rangoons, they bring them out PIPING HOT! so so good. the service is amazing, workers are nice, and fast, and the ambience is cozy, with tv's for entertainment. please give this place a try :)))

All the items chosen were good, with the Fried Shrimp and the Mongolian Beef proving to be very, very good! Mongolian Beef is a favorite Chinese American dish. Despite the name, it was developed in Taiwan before coming to the USA, an been very popular, especially as a take out item. The version served here is among the best, nearly as good as the best in the area, that served at Jade Garden in Advance. The dish here adheres to the straight forward simplicity of processing quality beef, onions, and peppers well seasoned with a soy based sauce. The fried shrimp are small, fresh tasting, and well breaded and well seasoned. This isn't an item often thought of when considering Chinese American appetizer, but I would suggest you consider it , especially when a bit of hot mustard or Chinese hot sauce is added. I have tried at least a dozen items here, and there have only been a couple I would not reorder. The sipped with which your order is prepared is a definite plus, usually you are out in under 15 minutes.

I usually get the combo plates that include an entree, egg roll and rice. Today, I have been battling a cold and cough and some wonton soup sounded perfect to sooth my throat. The rest of my family ordered some different dishes for themselves. We ordered online and I sent my son to pick everything up which only took 20 min. The wonton soup had so many wontons in it I split it into three servings. They also give you the fried wonton strips to sprinkle on top if you like that. The portions on all the other food were also big. Mr. Lus doesn't skimp there. We all had plenty for lunch the next day. The service is always fast, reliable and friendly. There is no dining room. It's all take out at Mr Lus so be prepared for that. Otherwise it's your basic order at the counter place.

The menu has a great mix of familiar Chinese dishes alongside more traditional regional specialties, and it's clear the restaurant isn't afraid to lean into bold, spicy flavors. The ambiance is cozy. It looks like they turned an old Biscuitville into the dining space, which is quite charming. We ordered quite a few dishes, including the steamed soup dumplings, ox tongue and tripe with chili sauce, Singapore mei fun, intestine with chili pepper, mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and the intestine noodle. Everything was well prepared, but the standout was how the restaurant balances more "American Chinese" flavors while also staying true to some more traditional chinese flavors as well. The chili-forward dishes had plenty of heat without overpowering the other flavors, and each dish had its own distinct character. The ox tongue and tripe appetizer and the intestine dishes were great options if you're looking to try something a little more traditional. The portions were generous, making it a great place to order several dishes and share with the table. If you're used to American Chinese food, this menu offers a chance to branch out and try something different while still having plenty of familiar options available. If there is a dish I would not order again, it would probably be the soup dumplings. They tasted just like the store bought frozen variety that you can steam at home. Nonetheless, New Sichuan Restaurant is well worth a visit if you're desiring flavors that somewhat lean towards more traditional Sichuan cooking.

They are very willing to do substitutions for vegetarian meals, I even have had tofu Dan Dan noodles there. The spicy dishes are indeed spicy! Some of the portions could be a little bigger, but everything is very tasty. I love their bok choy, which is in many of their dishes. The spicy wontons were room temperature, and I'm not sure if they're supposed to be, but they were the only thing we haven't loved. My Chongqing noodles with tofu added was absolutely delicious and very spicy! There's not a lot of description on their menu, so you may want to do a little research before going.

That being said the gal who greeted me was very friendly and the menu gave me hope. I think I'm going to need to give it another try. There's other serviceable Chinese food spots in the area, but they've always been consistent with their lunch service and as a sit down option, we prefer them over almost anyone else in the area. My wife got the General Tsos chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. I got the Szechuan beef with fried rice and it was delicious. Their beef is always cooked very well for thin cuts. Not chewy, very tender and flavorful. The veggies that come with it, the sliced celery, green peppers and carrots were cooked a little under to my liking, but it paired well with the beef flavor and the sauce its prepared in. Didn't get the chance to taste any of my wife's food but she was happy with it. Their food is always prepared very well anyways, so it was no surprise. Wasn't much of a lunchtime crowd, so the setting was quiet and we enjoyed it. I wish they'd bring their Sunday buffet back. Pre covid, we would visit them after church often and got to sample most of everything on their menu, which was also very good as well. That's the only complaint I have I suppose.

We wanted sushi and red curry and they delivered us some excellent eats. Service was awesome and the manager still always comes by to ask if everything is ok. Love that. Probably at some point will need a Reno as they have been open awhile but nothing looked bad nice busy atmosphere and lots of customers which is nice to see. We ordered a standard vodka soda from the drink menu. They have drink specials every day as well. Then we tried the sweet heat roll which was so pretty ! Delicious with all the sushi elements. Yum. Then we tried the poke bowl with ahi tuna. Wow so big! Rice, seaweed salad and lots of Veggies and a yummy soy wasabi vinaigrette. The tuna sashimi was so fresh. Then the red curry with chicken. We asked for extra Thai spicy and it was just the perfect heat. Served with white rice this was a huge portion honestly could have served 3 people. We still had a lot left over . They were also great about giving us another bowl of rice which is also a nice touch . The sauce here for this red curry is amazing. I will be back to buy it as we asked if they sell it and our server said yes . It is one of the best I've ever had. We were somewhat totally full !! Haha! Such a fun night here eating all this amazing Great food . I need to make sure I come back sooner than a few years! If your red curry fan definitely come here!

Our soups and appetizer were the absolute best thing we ate. Our entrees were okay. My husband got the beef bulgogi and it needed something. He thought the addition of chili sauce would make it ideal. He gave it a 6 out of 10. I ordered the hibachi beef bowl and it was lacking flavor. The beef was well cooked but didn't seem to have any salt, soy sauce, or anything like that. It was a 5 out of 10.

Parking is plentiful and shared with other merchants in the Summit Square Shopping Center. The restaurant's dining area is very Subway-esque with its curved laminated booths. The booths are more for sitting while waiting on your take-out order. I don't think I've ever seen anyone dine-in. East China's lunch specials are a GREAT value, and their non-lunch meals are fairly priced too. I usually order a quart of their Kung Pao chicken which comes with rice and then make it last for at least 2 meals or share with someone else at home. The Kung Pao Chicken is loaded with fresh vegetables, which make it stand out from other competitors. Portion size is huge! I highly recommend placing your next Chinese take-out order here and see for yourself.
