Not very friendly staff & after the haircut I was informed they didn't accept the coupons that I had because the coupons were only good at a location about 5 minutes away. The ladies at the salon were very nice but today I got a very uneven haircut. I showered right when I got home, did my hair I normally do it and found that it was very uneven on the sides & in the front. I'd recommend you go somewhere else or a different location. read more

This place is a hit or miss. My last experience was so great! I can't believe I don't remember the last lady's name. Anyways, I checked in online and waited 68 minutes until it was my turn. I waited 30 minutes after my appointment because one of the hairstylist was waiting for another one to come back from lunch. She was complaining because every time she says she's going to lunch the other one goes. after the head hairstylist called her out and told her that she should be cutting some hair instead of waiting she finally calls me. Thank god the other stylist came back or else she would have rushed and gave me a bad haircut! Now it's my turn with the stylist that came back and she was complaining on why I was still waiting there since she left while I walked in. I don't think I've ever felt sooooo uncomfortable I had to leave. I was not going to let anyone in there touch my hair. Unprofessional and overall just not a great experience. I have had numerous hairstylists cut my hair over the past several years, usually with disappointing results. However, a few months ago, a young lady named Christina, cut my hair at the Concord Village Great Clips Salon at Nolensville Road and Concord Road in Brentwood, TN. I was amazed at how well she did, not just the first time, but on every occasion since the first one. And not only me. My wife has always complimented how well my hair has looked after Christina cut it. When I asked her about her experience and why she did such a good job, Christina told me she was a recent graduate of a hairstyling school in Murfreesboro (I think those specifics are correct). I'm sure that had a strong influence on her ability, but I think it was also her attitude to do well as proven by her work. I am a 66-year-old male with the need of creativity on the part of a hairstylist because of thinning hair and a pronounced "cow-lick" on the back of by head. Most times past hairstylists would cut the "cow-lick" area that would result in my hair looking like a bristled porcupine for 2-3 weeks later. But not with Christina. Consequently, whenever I am preparing to get my haircut, I always call the Concord Village Great Clips Salon to make sure Christina is working there before I go. AVOID. Not good. I've been here several times, and have gotten very inconsistent results, mostly not very good. I can never find the same "stylist" twice in a row. It seems like an entirely different cast each time I'm there. I recently got a really bad haircut there. My hair is EASY (look at my mug shot - there's not much there to cut! It's tough to really screw it up, or so I thought. How bout one sideburn about half an inch higher than the other? How bout said sideburn terminating at a 45-degree angle, while the other was straight? And I could not see what was going on at my neck-line, but for some reason, it's been trimmed up to about mid-ear height. I now look like a monk. It was my mistake to give them another try. So I never really got over my experience on May 7th so I called in and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to Shante, I think, and she asked me to come in to show her "the haircut". Once she saw "the haircut" she agreed it was pretty bad and offered two cuts for free to try to fix it. We gave her a chance and she did make it look as good as it possible could considering he is bald above his ears and to a point in the back. If I was reviewing Shante I would give this place several stars but the truth is I am reviewing Great Clips and Shante told me that everyone their was licensed and had been for a long time. In my opinion, the only excuse for "the haircut" was inexperience and clearly they have experience so it was inexcusable. read more

5 stars overall because most of the staff are awesome. Amy's great, two of the other people I've had did a good job. Avoid Jade like the plague. I asked for a high and tight which is similar to a fade. She pretty much made it all the same length, unless you're right up next to me, you won't notice a difference. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted and she still messed it up. I then asked for my beard to be trimmed "up to the jaw line." Instead she somehow took that as stopping right at the Adam's apple. It's really not that difficult to get right. Just seemed to have a bad attitude in general. No real greeting or anything, just motioned me to get to the chair. She also shoved my head constantly instead of asking me to move. To top it off, when she left the bathroom, she hit my wife with the door. Again, Her conduct isn't reflective of the place as a whole, so I still recommend coming here, but Jade is garbage, like actual worthless trash who can't perform simple tasks. read more

This location recently opened in the Publix shopping center and it pretty much the same as the Great Clips up Nolensville Road a mile. There can easily be a 20-30 minute wait to get your hair cut, and one reason for that seems to be the slow clippers. Don't get me wrong, I don't want somebody speed cutting my coiffure but it just seems to be really slow here. read more

Everyone in this salon is personable and if you want a "basic" haircut for kids or men, it's the place to go. For women - ask for Nathia. She listens to what you want and "delivers" it. She's very good. Shante is the salon manager and she will make good what an upset customer may complain about. I have been having my hair cut at this salon off and on for 10 years. The great thing about a bad haircut is that it always grows back. For basic cuts you'll be happy. For high tech cuts you need a high end salon. read more

My son gets his hair cut here about every two months. Most of the time he gets the stylist he wants because she always does a great job for him. This last time he got a different person, and he was not happy at all. He loves his hair and he was really disappointed this time. But, overall most of the time he's happy with the service. read more

As an update: After following up with the location manager and voicing my displeasure at the service I received, $25 was refunded to me for the drying charge. Although, she refunded this ridiculous charge, I will still never return to any Great Clips. read more

I do not recommend this location unless you specifically request Shonte (who is exceptional). Owners should hire customer service oriented employees. Took my son and checked in at store. Employee checked in the wrong individual and removed my son's name from the list. When I acknowledged the error, I was told to wait as she was working on 3 things at the same time. I patiently waited as she checked out other customers. Then she added my name to the bottom of the list even though I had already been there waiting in line for 20 minutes and she started sweeping the floors. She did not speak with me to acknowledge the error or how she was addressing. Evidently sweeping floors is more important that customer service and revenue. I pointed out the error and concern, then left to drive to sports clips. read more

I have been very pleased with this location of Great Clips. My son and I both have our hair cut by Katie. When we moved to Nashville we visited various places from a basic barber shop with Floyd the Barber types to beauty shops and Super Cuts. Katie has given us consistent cuts for several months now. It's nice knowing what your hair will look like every time. We get a "Great Clip" every time. read more
