Went in for my kids first hair cut. Was charged $22 for a less than 10 minute hair cut and the lady missed half of my kids head.... Once we got back home i used my clippers to fix it. Which took 5 mins... I wish I could rate this -9/10. And when I was in there they were crap talking a customer that just left and that customer didnt tip.... I went in today because I have a new job coming up soon and I needed to take a weed whacker to my mop. Sports clips did me dirty and I was really hoping for something very special. I came in and Mrs. Cynthia walked me through on how everything goes; I showed her a photo of the style I wanted and something lit up in her eyes, she knew exactly what to do. I sat down and we instantly clicked, the entire time we had casual chatter, smiles and laughs and history bounced back and forth. They don't honor national deals, specials, or coupons. Great Clips should provide on their app, or website which locations participate. It does no good to be advertised on the web showing the promotion with this location and then you get there, no sign saying they aren't accepting it. Classic bait & switch. read more

When I went to the barbers the lady there was pretty helpful and gave me a pretty good cut I've gotten at least one or two compliments on.

I asked for a fade and instead of telling me sorry I don't know how to do a fade, I was given two different levels of buzz cut and a very visible line. I asked for it to be blended more but the lady clearly had no knowledge or care for fixing it. If you are an adult who needs to look professional, go elsewhere. read more

I would have done better just asking for a number 2 across the top. Asked for a medium high #1 fade, top finger length, with the bangs a bit longer. Got a #1 all over and a recommendation that I put my "request" into their computer system. Took three weeks to grow my hair back out. Not to mention the hair dresser kept coughing up terrible things near my head. Walmart is better. read more

I honestly wish I could go back to the first time I tried this place and just decided not to go in. The first time I went in the woman went on and on about how she hated cutting women's hair (I'm a woman) 1 that is extremely unprofessional and 2 stylists should be comfortable cutting all hair types. If you want to cut men's hair work at a place that is exclusive for men! There is a sports clips no joke 5 miles down the road. The woman cut my hair didn't show me it and another stylist came out and told her she needed to fix my hair. The other stylist fixed it for her. I decided if I came back I would see her since she seemed to know what she was doing. Fast forward to just over a week ago and I decide to go in against my better judgment I tell myself I'm only going to be seen if that one lady Is there. First thing that greeted me was a shrill voice saying online check in! I said no; I wanted a hair cut. She goes on the computer puts in my info says I was here in May. A woman with purple hair Asks me if I wanted the same thing done (2 inches off) I said no; I only want a trim max 1/4 of an inch, she says okay, asks if I want my hair washed or no. I originally said yes but she looked so irritated by it I changed my mind. And told her to just go ahead and cut it dry. She gets me situated in the chair and small talk starts. I tried calming down and decided to just let her so her thing, it wasn't the same woman as before and she did her own hair herself so I felt okay with my choice in letting her handle me. After all. What's 1/4 of an inch? We're talking and I see her go after my hair, it didn't even register what she was doing until it was already done...she cut 3 inches off of my hair..... asks me if I wanted layers, I said yes, my hair is always layered. I'm sitting in the chair in absolute shock and terrified on what's going on, I tried to calm myself down I try to be positive. I would have cut it off eventually right? She finishes. Cutting and shows me the back of my hair and it's shelved. I nod because I'd she can't do better thr first time she probably will just take off more the second and I wanted to leave with some of my hair left on my head. She takes me back, washes my hair takes me back to the seat and proceeds to dry my hair...stops I. The middle gets product and applies it to my hair...it was a leave In conditioner...suppose to be applied when hair is wet/towel dried... I just want this over with as fast as possible at this point. she asked if I wanted my hair styled at all I said straightened she said okay. And keeps blow drying the back of my hair, doesn't move for the front or anything, she stops rearranges my still wet hair tells me I look great and basically pushed me out of the chair my hair mutilated and yet still unfinished. Ultimately all I have to say is if you're a man with short hair feel free to go there because there are very few people in there and if you're a woman or a man with long hair just turn and run. read more

We checked in with "no waiting" .... 25 minutes later someone comes wondering out of the back. I tell her my daughter wants her hair chin length and stacked in the back and show her a picture. "Oh, I can't do that hair cut." What?! I have cut my daughters hair like that, with NO training! It's not difficult. Then I hear the other stylist say "when you go to classes, they'll show you that." And the first stylist response, "well I watch a lot of YouTube videos, but I'm still not comfortable." Don't you have to be trained and licensed to cut hair in Maryland?!? A little scary they have people cutting hair who have obviously little to no training or experience. We waited another 5 more minutes to see the next stylist. read more

The people at great clips do not care about their customers. You wait 2 to 3 hours to get a hair cut and they make excuses and tell you to sign in on line to get in faster. That is a joke. I even bought the gift card for $54.95 and thought that might help. I can never get in there so I wasted my money. Unless you have half a day to wait or know someone there you will not get in. My daughter had to take my grandson to another shop to fix the mess they made of his hair. read more

So you have to figure out the great clips system. 1 check in online!! They tell you the wait time and you get on the list. It's great to walk into a full waiting room and go right back. (Of course that generates some hateful stares and reviews from those waiting). 2 spend the time on your 1st visit to get every particular of your style in their system (what number of clipper setting, sideburns etc). This stays with you so no matter who is cutting you get the same basics. 3 watch for specials. At the end of the year I picked up a $10.99 cut card and loaded it with enough for 10 cuts. (Tip not included) 4 it's a clip and get place. If you want the spa treatment and all the works it's not you. read more

Worst haircut ever! I should have given my son the haircut; I would have done a better job. I wanted him to have a little taken off the sides and back and the top blended. We had spent months growing his hair out, and now most of it was taken off, the opposite of what I told the barber. My son's hair is now choppy, multiple lines across the top of his head and a bare spot on the side of his head. I have to shave his head just to fix the horrible haircut. We now have to grow it out again and find a different place to go. I would not have them cut my hair for free. read more

We took a chance and came here as we are new to the area and boy am I glad we did. My 4 year old had a horrible experience when he was 2 and the girl cut him with the shavers and ever since then it has been MURDER to get him to get his hair cut. As soon as we walked in Rachel greeted us AND my son who was throwing a fit. Rachel proceeded to sit on the floor with him to earn his trust and she worked on him for 20 minutes. Amazing....my anxiety was through the roof cause I did not know how to get him over his fear but Rachel worked him and broke him...lol.. SOOOOO greatful for her and her patience...
