I don't even want to go back to get it fixed because the environment was uncomfortable when you hear them talk bad about customers while giving props to themselves. read more

Today was my second visit. First time, I got a meh haircut. This time, I walked out. Extremely bad customer encounters, mumbled hellos, and woman walked away from the counter without checking me in. (You have to be checked in at the store after checking in online?) After I waited almost 30 mins, someone finally asked me why I was there and checked me in. While waiting yet again, I heard the stylists talking and laughing about me. Bad form! I walked out as the woman who had first walked away from me said she could take me. I'm new to Mundelein and have been looking for someone to cut my hair. This place is not it. I hope they learn to greet each customer as if they are new, and to speak about them with respect when they are on the salon floor. read more

Worst service ever and will not be going back. My mother took my son for a hair cut to great clips. She realized she was a few dollars short on a top and called my father who was sitting in the parking lot. My father pulls up to the door and my mother steps out. The female stylist yells at her that she can't leave my son there alone. She explains that she's just grabbing money from the car parked at the door. The stylist yells it a again but this time with a Jesus crist added in. Umm absolutely not OK. This should never be yelled especially in a place of business. Then threatens to kick my mom out who's now upset over the situation while my son is mid way through a hair cut. Never again will we go there. read more

For a good hair cut for men, check this place out. I have had good experience here for the most part and tend to go back even though they are not near me. Claudia and Victoria are my favorites. They have consistently given me good hair cuts. They were able to provide quality cuts based on my description. For $15 for a regular men's hair cut (no shampoo), you get more than satisfactory results. They honor Great Clips coupons. If you shop at the Jewel Osco next door, the back of their receipts usually has coupons for this Great Clips and it's a good deal. So check them out. I am happy to give them my business. read more

Very bad experience. the stylist messed up mine and my Son's hair. She didn't pay any attention to what style we were requesting. Didn't leave any tip for them and next thing i know is the salon manager (rudest person ever) told me that i can not come back to that salon ever. I was shocked- instead of looking into the matter, she only noticed my not tipping the stylist. I also made a complaint to their service center about this mistreatment and never heard back from anyone. read more

Very poor customer service and terrrrible Haircutting skills. One time the stylist got angry with a client that didn't give a tip. So tacky.

My husband is deaf and aphasic due to a stroke. I tried to get him a haircut here and they refused him service if he could not communicate for himself. Normally, in the past I will stand by him and help him understand instructions, they said the nearest I could be to him was the lobby, they didn't care what his problem was, they would not put themselves at COVID risk and so they will not make any accommodations for him. I tried to explain, both of us have had our vaccinations and we would ware masks. They refused service and handicap accommodations. read more

This place says it opens at 9:00 am.I go online to put my name in and it says online not available at this time.So I go try again at 9:05,9:10 same not online at this time.When I go there,it took me 5 minutes, I see already 6 names up and it says 55 min. wait.The Lady there swore she logged on at 9:05.This is BS.When it says opens at 9:00 that means the computer gets turned on and the people should show up a couple of minutes earlier to be operational at 9:00 am.The other thing I don't like is that there are always different people there and you hardly ever get the same person. read more

I checked in online at this place. It said that I had a 55 minute wait. I went there about 45 minutes later and waited an additional 1 Hour. When I checked in I was 2nd on the list. 3 People went ahead of me that had got there after me. All the hair stylists there just keep looking at me with stupid looks on their faces. Visited this salon two times during 3 weeks, the last time on Monday, 10-08-2018, at 9:00 am, and in both cases I had the worst haircuts which I had in my entire life (I am 70 years old). The "stylist" did not not follow my requests , like "Make it shorter", "Do it more even", "remove hair on the ear" but instead cuted VERY CHAOTICALLY hair on different areas of the head. Every two minutes the "stylist" was running from me to the front desk to greet a newcomer. When she was returning back, she did not remember what area she worked on and began chaotically to cut hair in another place. The result of this haircut was very disappointing - I had a "hole" in the hair above my left ear, the hair on right side of the head was shorter then on the left, extremely short hair on my brows and visible hair on my ears. (It was very disgusting to see the "stylist" chewing something in her mouth!) Actually the salon falsifies the word "stylist" that should be applied to the hairdresser who does creative styling of coiffures. In this salon the proper name for their hair-cutters could be "HAIR-CRIPPLERS". As I result I visited another hair salon to correct the work of so called "stylist" and to spent time writing very disappointing review about my very negative experience in the "Great clip" salon in Mundelein. P.S. Today I received a message from a franchisee who proposed me a bribe in the form of their gift certificate for another visit to disfigure my hair cut. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I know more men come here than women but when I need a quick trim i come here I'm a female in early 20's so people would assume I go to a salon that's well known but when I come here (mundelein) it's always super professional yet welcoming never intimidating the hair dressers are great! I got a recent hair cut from Megan she did phenomenal! Mind you i was having a horrible day I was actually going to get a haircut at another place but it that place was too full. I used to get my hair done at fairly pricey salons because i was afraid of places like great clips, and i have to tell you...this is one very talented group of ladies! There is more talent at this specific great clips (Mundelein) than in ten of the pricey salons! I've yet to get a bad cut, and it's important to me. I've been coming to this salon since it opened, which I believe has to be approximately 15 years at least. I remember sitting with my Mom and younger brother playing my Game Boy after school waiting during busy hours to get that super short private school hair cut haha. I'm 25 now lol. Almost every time I've been here it's been a positive experience though, especially as I've gotten older and experimented with different styles. The staff seems to range from really experienced stylists who can do almost anything to beauticians with fresh certifications. They've been quite polite and pleasant in conversation the majority of the time--if there's still the stylist who has a lot of piercings and bright colored hair there, you are phenomenal at cutting hair and great to talk with (AFI fans for life! haha)--but there have been a few occasions of snippiness with stylists over the years with the ever changing staff, and everyone has bad days. I've been satisfied with or excited about my haircut 90% of the time I've had my hair cut here, which is basically every time I get a haircut. Perfection is impossible, and this level of quality coming from a chain hair salon with affordable prices (only $14 for a men's haircut if I remember correctly, $8 with coupons that come a bit less frequently than my tight budget would appreciate haha) is impressive.
