This is for the Day Creek location in Rancho Cucamonga. Why use a check in system and wait list if you are going to take people ahead of those on the wait list? I was number four on the wait list, and they took someone who just walked in because they gave some sob story about getting a bad cut at a different location yesterday. This isn't the ER. Wait your turn. Then they took her brother who was number eight ahead of everyone else. Not cool. Makes me think twice about going to this location again. My stylist, Cynthia, gets five stars . I'm so upset, I should have stuck with Lou, but she was super busy when we came so we tried someone else out. This was my bad, but due to this we won't be back. We went with the girl next to Lou. She's young with tattoos, she cut my daughter's hair So uneven. I wish we would have been told she specializes in men's cuts. I would have understood, and gone somewhere else. I had to bring my daughter to my hair girl to fix it. I truly would have taken no offense, or have gotten upset. Great for men, not great for women or girls cuts. They don't blow dry little girls hair either so you don't notice how uneven it is walking out of the salon. This is bad practice. Only giving 2 stars cause I've seen first hand how good they do at men's, & boys cuts, & Lou is awesome. read more

My Sister and mom just stopped by to get both of their haircuts. My sister had no problem thankfully. My mom on the other hand, she had a specific cut she wanted. Her hair is long, curly, and thick and she is getting surgery on her wrist soon so she needed her hair to be lighter in weight. She shows the hairstylist the cut she would like and the hairstylist communicates that she isn't comfortable doing that sort of cut because she doesn't do them often which's PERFECTLY OKAY communication is important and my mom was more appreciative of her honesty so the hairstylist asks another stylist if she can cut her hair because she specializes in those specific cuts. Very rudely is eyeing the other hairstylist down talking about "why can't you do it" and it being very passive aggressive, mind you if your employee communicates that to you, wouldn't you think to turn this around as a learning opportunity instead of embarrassing her. anyways they were kind of going back and forth not sure why but my mom ended up cancelling her apt no need for service if you got to pull teeth and hair, if you don't like your job and don't feel like cutting hair along with arguing with your employee in front of customers because she didn't feel comfortable with that specific cut maybe this isn't the job for you. I also hope that hairstylist who spoke up saying she wasn't comfortable finds a place who would rather happily educate her and be more understanding and graceful towards her. pretty sure they have some great hairstylists here but as far as character maybe we should step it up. read more

Today I took my grandson and son for haircuts. Michelle did a great job. I asked Michelle to give us all haircuts while we were there 2 other stylists approached her and started criticizing something she did right in front of us. I saw how this embarrassed her; she kept a smile on her face, but this was completely unprofessional and should have been dealt with in private. I'm sorry Michelle had to endure that public humiliation. I hope this will be addressed, as no one should be subjected to that anywhere. read more

Visited this location on Saturday 3/23/24 The stylist did a pretty good job her name was Fanny but the only problem is she offered to shampoo my hair after my cut but failed to reiterate that there a $12 charge to do so. Yes it may be posted in the front but she made sound like she doing me a solid without mentioning the extra cost. So I wasn't happy to find out what I thought was going to be a $24 haircut turned into a $35 haircut. If I had cash on me I would have only paid for the haircut price and been on my way but I was compelled to have to pay the entire amount. To this locations owner please train your stylists to give full disclosure of the cost of services to your customers so they may consciously decline or accept the charge. I may not return to this location do to this miscommunication. read more

I am giving a 1 star review because I can't leave a 0 star review. I took my son for a trim and asked the hairdresser to clean up his longish hair. We specifically mentioned that he likes to tuck his hair behind his ears. The hairdresser took off much, much more and gave him bangs that had a "Justin Bieber: the early years" vibe. My 10-year old had tears in his eyes as we walked out and asked me to message his teacher to ask if he could wear a hat in class the following day. I felt awful for taking him to this salon. So, I went to this site and the first thing I read was "Lu" this and "Lu" that with five stars attached to the reviews So, I called the place and spoke to Lu. She was very nice, and I agreed to come the next day. When I went to the salon, the place was immaculate and fancier than the place who gave me the young Rod Stewart look. Then, I sat on Lu's chair. Lu studied my face, my hair type, and asked me about my life style. She asked me if I have a style in mind. I showed her a picture and told her to alter the style according to my liking. She said, "You will have a different style and I don't think you will like it." She then told me what she was going to do. I thought, what the heck! And I let her cut my hair. And boy, was I glad. I like how quick they are, I like you're able to sign in on the app, then show up and they'll see you, what I don't like is how when I say "trim the sides of my beard, but leave the length alone" and they DONT listen. I don't care what you think I want, do what I ask. I will not visit this Great Clips again, I'll go further and wait longer to someone who actually listens. Its a convenient place that cuts hair good for people with longer hair. I've noticed that for men's hair they cut short hair great but struggle with medium to long length (specifically for men, women's hair gets cut great here). I just got into the habit of asking for a trim small trim because they tend to over cut how much I want anyways but this last one was pretty diabolical so imma have to find somewhere new read more

Just got my hair cut by Ruth. She did not clean one single brush or clipper before cutting my hair and from the looks of her equipment she hadn't cleaned any of them for the last couple people. I talked to the manager, Lou, and she said she would do an inspection. Ruth will never be cutting my hair again. Also, she's cut my hair a couple times before and I'm never happy with the results. Such a bummer! The other stylists always do a great job. Nice lady but very gross if she's not cleaning her brushes and clippers. I'm gonna go shower now, hopefully I don't have anything. I only go to this location to get my hair cut. I always request Lou because I love the way she cuts my hair. I even bring my daughter here with me to get a trim. Lou gives the best recommendations on hair care and all natural treatments. I would definitely request her if you stop in to get a hair cut. & don't forget to check in online it's convenient, I've never had a issue with it. You can also put the employees name that you would like to have cut your hair. I refuse to go anywhere else. read more
