I hadn't had a haircut in about 2 years. I let the lady know EXACTLY what I wanted. I showed her pix of what I wanted, including pix of me rocking the lob I've been getting for ten years. Since it had been so long since my last haircut, I knew it was going to take more time than a normal haircut, I budgeted $50 including tip. I paid her $35. Unfortunately, my hair is noticably uneven!! My left side is the correct length. My right side is easily 3-4 inches shorter!!!!! And the back is the same length as the left side!!!? Instead of rocking my cute lob, my hair is french braided & bobby pinned up, looking ridiculous!!!!! This has been my "favorite" salon for probably 5 years or more. Haven't had my hair cut since 2020 and have anxiety about anyone cutting it. Went in and was greeted so nicely by Alisa and told her my fears. She was AMAZING and took such good care of me. I have important pictures coming up, so I have no time for games. I have gone to Great Clips many times in the last 10+ years and I have to say, my experience today was one, if not, thee best I've ever had. And it is all thanks to the stylist KISS (or Kyss? Spelling unsure). I heard she works primarily at the Lead Hill location, but she's here temporarily placed here for covid. From discussing my haircut, the diligence and attention to detail, she went above and beyond and made me feel like a valued and cared for client. She's an amazing conversationalist, and super easy to talk to. I always feel that barbers or stylist are trying to get as many clients in/out as fast as possible. You do not feel that with her. She takes her time, yet is efficient and goes over what she's doing step by step. I think this communication throughout the session is so important and not done nearly as much, as the client and hair stylist can perfect the haircut as you go through collaboration. I wanted to fill out a survey to really thank her and for the Corp to understand how valuable this team member is. Out of all the barbers, haircut corps and family/friends I have gotten haircuts from, this experience triumphs them all in level of ease, haircut and hospitality! I wouldn't know how to rate a haircut here. I checked in electronically which said 0 minute wait. I arrived and there was one person in a chair with a stylist. That stylist 'checked' me in and said someone would be right out... I waited 10 minutes hearing a conversation between 2 or 3 employees in the back. I waited 10 minutes and finally walked out. Big mistake on my part going here. My stylist was purposely slow hoping I'd tip her better for taking so much time. Three men came and left while I was still in the chair. This woman was breathing through her nose so loud I thought Quasimodo was cutting my hair. And in conclusion, the stylist was asking stupid questions about how I'd like my hair cut like, "What length should I take off?" As if I'm 16 and not 56! There's so little on my head why would she ask about "length?" "Just clean it up all around," I said. This answer seemed to perplex her. Later, when I got in front of a mirror I saw that my sideburns were cut like Spock's. I had asked her to, "Just level it straight across." This not rocket science, people. Wise up. read more

I'm giving it two stars because the stylist who cut my hair was very kind and held great conversation, but honestly I'm devastated with my hair. I just went in to get my bangs fixed because I'd cut them myself, but somehow I came home with much shorter hair (a couple of inches) and it was crooked. I have curly hair, they cut it wet. I also typically maintain my own hair and cut it so it's like a v. when I got home, my hair is cut straight across. And because it wad already shorter than I expected I have to wait until it grows out a little to fix it. One of my best friends told me it looked terrible and at least it'll grow back. I'm so sad but thank you for your kindness while I was there. read more

I received a few coupons in the mail recently for a $13 haircut (usually $18 or $17, I believe), so I gave Great Clips a try. Normally, I'd go to a local barber shop, but this Great Clips is really close to my home. When I walked in, I was put on a waiting list. The stylist that greeted me gave me a 15 minute wait-time, however, they were ready before then. The same girl that checked me in also cut my hair. I went to this location at about 4:45 this evening. I hadn't checked in online, so the young lady who checked me in told me it would be about a 20 minute wait. After a cup of tea at the next-door Starbucks I returned to see my name in third position on the electronic board. A stylist came up and took the person in the first position, then a second stylist took the person in the second position. I expected to be called next, but the next stylist took a different man. It was then that I noticed that my mane was gone off the board. The young lady who checked me in noticed that I was still sitting there, tried to get the third stylist to take me instead of the man she was seating in her chair. I said no, let it go. I gave her the card I had in my pocket that offered a haircut for $7.99, and left. What had bothered me most was the amount of chatter going on between the stylists, instead of focusing on of their customers, and the job at hand. Their conversations seemed to be more important than taking care of business. What I didn't tell them was that I had $10 in my pocket to pay for the haircut, and an additional $20 that I was going to give to the person who cut my hair, since it is so close to Christmas. I've been to this location before, about once per month, and usually get the senior citizen haircut for $15, and always tip the person at least $5. Not anymore after this. read more

This is my husband's go to place for a haircut. Him and my son go a couple times a month and always come back looking more handsome than when they left so I would give their visits 4 stars. This review is for my experience only. I went just before Halloween when I was in desperate need of a trim. The girl (Kinsey?) who was there was, I believe, subbing for the regular girls. She was a nice enough girl but my experience was kind of odd. I wanted a wash and cut. She said she would cut first, then wash... okay, this was a first for me but I thought it was smart so I wouldn't be left with the trimmings in my hair. I told her I didn't care how much was cut off as long as all the dead hair was gone. We decided 3 inches and she cut it pretty fast but when she was done and showed me the back, she told me she cut it how she likes her hair cut; so it lays in a straight line across the back. I didn't really care but some people might be more picky and think she should ask a preference. I know it's their job to upsell you on products ("what kind of shampoo do you use" etc) but she was awkwardly persistent. Out of the blue she would mention how she learned in her class that you have to buy your products from a salon and not stores that sell them cheaper (Target, Wal Mart, etc) to get the real product. She said she experimented and they were so watered down when you got them cheaper. Her approach and delivery was just weird. Again, she was a nice girl and I don't blame her to try and sell their products. I'm sure it's hard to sell a $20 bottle of shampoo when people come in for cheap haircuts. The one thing that bothered me most was when she was washing my hair. We were talking about how she wanted to go live by the beach in Southern CA and I asked her what's stopping her since she's so young. She told me she just got back from Canada from a mission and the Doctors were keeping her in Sacramento because she has some disease they haven't been able to diagnose and didn't want her to travel. I'm not on a big ebola scare but when you're washing people's hair, it's probably not a good idea to tell them you're sick with some unknown illness. I might go back if I'm in desperate need of a haircut but I'll probably be going elsewhere if I have the chance. read more

Wonderful experience! I recently go out of hospital and couldn't stand to long in shower to wash my hair (it is long almost too my knees). It hadn't been washed the whole two weeks I was there. Major yuck! The lovely young girl not only washed it clean but also gave my scalp a wonderful massage. I wish I got her name cause she was amazing. Polite and friendly and made me feel less embarrassed by my yucky hair. It was a little hard to find. The sign blended with the building so I had to call the number. I said no.... to which she CLEARLY believed was a big mistake on my behalf (how dare I). I brought the kids here for haircuts and it worked out great! I highly recommend the app as you can check in before you get there and monitor the expected wait time. Really needed a haircut overdue big time. Happened to be coming from Safeway so went in. I was helped right away by Shanise a fairly new stylist to the shop. Not only did Shanise give me what I asked for but did a great job, then Alla also stepped in with a suggestion, I left the place feeling great. They did a far better job than Ulta on Sunrise for about 1/3 the cost. They really care that the customer is pleased. I will be back for sure! read more
