I have a really tough time with getting my hair cut because it's kinda nappy, but she took the time to give me the most useful and blunt advice for managing my hair I have ever been given in my life. When I showed up to get my haircut from Kim, I shared that I had wanted a straight cut, just the ends and she said she could do it no issue she continued to not wet my hair, which is something I've never experienced when getting a haircut she cut straight across with electric clippers which resulted in very uneven/butchered ends. I'm not interested in getting it re-fixed by somebody who already messed it up. I just want people to know that Kim will mess up your hair if you get a haircut from her. Never seen this stylist before so I do the same thing I always do and walk through how and what I want, make corrections when it's not something I want. This stylist proceeds to push my fade up to a high and tight (not what told her to do) on top of that cut me several times leaving my skin irritated nor it being a skin fade. I went there and asked if they knew how to do curls with a flat iron, I spoke to two stylist and they both said yes. I asked at the front desk and asked again before I sat down. I explained that I did not want to get it done with a curling iron, and my reasons why. The stylist reassured me that she knew. As soon as she started working, it was clear she did not. Then my stylist asked the other stylist, who was next to us (who was at the reception and first person I spoke to) and she responded she did not know neither. Then my stylist proceeded to do it with the curling iron. And it was also clear she did not know how to do it that tool neither. She took big chucks of hair to curl. 20 minutes later my hair was flat, and sticky from the spray. I got to my event with terrible hair minus the money I paid. I called them to let them know the status of my hair. Next day the manager told me I could go that day to get it redone, but I explain I could not go that day. Then she said I go later that my credit will be on my notes. Then when I called later, she refused to make the appointment to redeem the credit. Bottom line, I asked if they knew how to do curls with a flat rion, they lied, attempted to do a substitute service that did not do the job neither, and refused to redo the service or give credit. read more

This is the absolutely worse service I have ever experienced from any establishment. Picked my son up from school and went straight there. Checked in at 3:37, the screen said 52 min wait. Several people came after us and were put in front of us. After an hour, my son was starving so I ran across the parking lot to grab him a quick bite. When I returned the clock said 42 mins left, even though we had already waited an hour for a 52 min wait time. I asked the girl how long and she said she would be taking him soon. Then a family of 5 who got their haircuts wanted a discount for all their haircuts so they tried to problem solve that. That was another 20 mins. About 30 mins later the girl that said she would be taking us shortly, I guess decided she needed a break (don't know her name, young, pretty black girl). Around 5:20 and after waiting almost 2 hours, I told the lady my son has a football game and we had to go. She said she could take him now. She started his haircut and I had to tell her we couldn't finish because he would be late for his game. She said I could come back tomorrow. I left incredibly frustrated to say the least after paying $27 ($22 and $5 too). And my son was late for his game. Saturday returned at 6:08. Same lady (Lily) that started cutting it yesterday said she was waiting for us because I checked in online. I could barely understand her or explain exactly what my son wanted because her English is so broken. I told her numerous times he wanted a low taper fade. I showed her a pic showing exactly what he wanted. My 10 year old was also trying to explain what he wanted and she begin to become angry with him because she said she had to pick up her kid, although it was only 6:33 and she said she works until 7. She then begin being very rough with the clippers on the back on my son's head. I could see my son grimacing and I looked at her sternly, but she continued to do it incredibly fast with pressure. My son was not satisfied with his hair but I just told him it looks okay and let's go. When we got to car he said "it looks terrible, I'm just going to wear my hat everyday" and he complained the back of his head hurt. Also he left his hat there so we went back at 7:16 and Lily was still there after she had rushed his haircut because she had to leave at 7. I should have asked for a full refund because this is unacceptable. I wouldn't go back there if they paid me to. Hopefully the owner gets this squared away, I've read numerous other terrible reviews about this Great Clips location. read more

let me just say that I've been to great clips a few times never really got that great of a haircut but this is the absolute worst. It looks nothing like I was supposed to get. She was supposed to take a half an inch off the bottom and it looks like she took 2 inches off. Hey Guys, I don't appreciate you wasting my time and your flawed system. Let me elaborate. i went to your online check in system and was advised about a 40 minute wait. I show up and I am 2nd in line. One hair stylist. i request a certain individual and advise he will be back in about 15 minutes or so. Comes after about 25 minutes. No issue. The problem is that #1 slot is ready to be taken and isn't there. In fact that individual doesnt show up until 20 minutes after I arrive and the walk in comes in 10 minutes before and I let him go before me since I am waiting. I actually let 2 people leap frog me. So this #1 person keeps their slot even though 2 people have either been serviced or myself who is waiting gets to be taken care of. So if I understand correctly, I could check in at10 am and go to the front of the line at 4 pm? Clearly lady or system should update when #1 wasnt at location or advised employee who had arrived at 1.20. I expect an apology. I chose not to make a scene. read more

I said yes..she told me to wait outside, (90 degrees outside today) and someone would call me or come out to get me. Briana cut my hair yesterday at about 2:00 pm. There was nobody else waiting at that time. She is cute, she is experienced and she has excellent personality(also her first day at this location.) Have been getting my hair cut here for about 3 years, simply out of convenience, have never had a particularly bad cut(I get buzzed with a #2 guard), but there is not a lot of art to that. Briana had excellent conversation skills, and she got my hair cut with a little extra flair(great job on the sideburns) and had me finished professionally with a minimal amount of fuss. My husband recently had his hair done at great clips. The whole process did not start out very well I must say. The staff seemed a little rude but understandably stressed possibly due to the number of people waiting - Covid- cutting hair in the parking spaces and I'm sure other factors as well. The haircut went well and the stylist was relatively responsive to my husband. Where they were lacking in charm, points were gained on the reasonable quality of the cut. read more

So my haircut was good. My review does not reflect the quality of haircut. The review reflects my overall annoyance at the experience. Let me preface this review by saying, I ONLY use professional hair products with the exception of hairspray. But everything else is professional products only purchased in salons (as opposed to Target, etc). My stylist, whom I'm not naming because I don't think this is a reflection of her so much as management, harassed me to buy product. Not just one time or one product. Three different times, three different products despite me firmly telling her I was not interested. First she advised I buy a split end spray. I told her I wasn't interested and that I won't use it, I don't need any products right now. All of which is the truth. I've been suckered into buying products over the years that go unused. I also told her my problem isn't split ends per se, but the fact I go far too long between trims. She asked what type of shampoo/conditioner i used. After telling her, she was satisfied for only a minute. Then she tried to persuade me to purchase a leave in conditioner. I literally have an entire bottle at home that I used twice in 6 months. As I said, I've learned I tend not to use products I don't think I need. Then she put in a mousse intended to make my hair feel fuller. She put it in and blow dried by hair so it was puffed out, making it look like a lions mane. "Do you see how full your hair looks? Does it feel fuller?" At this point I was mad. 1) because drop it. I'm not buying anything from you and 2) maybe but I would never ever ever do my hair like that (the way she used the blow dryer would make anyone's hair "look" more voluminous). I have no problem buying products. But, only when I need and/or want them. Had she simply used a product that made my hair look nice (created the idea in my mind that I needed it) I would have gladly spent $15-30 on product. However, it's blatantly obvious her only concern was selling product - any product would do. Didnt matter if I wanted it, needed it, would use it. This brings me to management. Having working part time as a receptionist in a similar type salon, I am familiar with the metrics used to rank stylists. I know they have goals for $/hr productivity, how much $ in product is sold per week, etc. My experience in this salon said to me, they only care about my money and if I'm not spending it on product I'm not spending enough. I will never set foot in there again. I live less than a mile away and will spend twice as much elsewhere to avoid being harassed to buy more product. read more

She said it's over an hour wait then said "can't you see that there are other people before you!?" The lady that cut my hair was thorough and listened to my every request. She even provided me with useful tips for when I wash at home. She cut over 6 inches off then compleatly destroyed my daughters bangs. The whole time she did this she had a stupid smile on her face.
