She was nice and communicated pretty well while trimming my hair. Maybe a bit too much. She asked if the length to cut in front was okay (which is great she checked with me cuz I requested that she not cut it too short since I still wanted to able to tie my hair up in a ponytail). But then she continued to ask about how much to cut in the back, and so on and so forth. I was like, sure that's fine. But I'm used to hair stylists knowing what looks good and taking initiative, for simple cuts at least. If I knew how to layer my own hair, I'd be doing it myself. i shoils have known to turn around right when I saw the amount of hair on my barbers head. But I was desperate for someone to do me good for graduation. We started conversing and I told him what went wrong with the last haircut. this gave me some solace, a sense of security that my hair was in good hands. Little did I know the atrocity he was about to commit. he took a razor in his hand, as all barbers do to start. he started at the bottom, but it would only go downhill from there. he took the razor, and in one sweeping motion, moved it from the base of my head all the way to the top, leaving the side of my head looking as barren as the Sahara desert. in conclusion, do NOT go to great clips if u want to be able to face the public after your cut. to add to this crime, the lady in the front asked me if my girlfriend was my sister. 0/5 would not recommend. read more

The staff is very friendly and pleasant but they do not have a high level of training or expertise in even basic haircut styles. I've been there three times and asked for a medium fade and a slight blend of my beard sideburns into the haircut fade. The first time I received a fairly solid haircut/beard trim from one of their female employees. The second time, I had a gentleman; who gave me a different haircut than I had asked for. Although it wasn't what I requested, he did an ok job so I left feeling a little frustrated but still looking somewhat presentable. The third time, I had another (different than the first time) female employee. She was pleasant and friendly, and I showed her a picture of a haircut I received in the past (basic mid fade/beard blend with a 2 on top) and verbally gave her the same request as above. She nodded and said she could do that, then and then proceeded to completely butchered it. The top was actually chunky with large tufts of hair cut and other sections where the clippers properly cut the hair. The fade was incredibly poorly done; with a very stark and hard contrast. And yet somehow the beard was the worst. She began to cut it so incredibly jagged that I actually had to stop her and politely let her know this wasn't at all what I was looking for. I re-clarified what I was looking for and showed her the picture again. She kept grinning nervously and nodding her head saying she understood but every time she resumed cutting, it continued to make it worse. I finally had to stop her completely and let her know this just wasn't working out and I'd need to leave (as is). I ended up having to cut the beard off completely, it was that bad. I still tipped out of principle but genuinely folks, this is a place to stay away from. I will be going back to an actual barbershop from now on, it costs more but is well worth the price for the high quality of work they do. read more

Went to get a easy men's haircut, I just wanted what I already have just cleaned up. The lady cutting my hair didn't want to listen and kept trying to change my haircut and do it how she wanted to. Ended up making it way too short, asked for 1/2 an inch and she immediately started cutting off over an inch. I have curly hair and she was very rough handling my curls. She then proceeded to use blow dry my hand and comb it back trying to straighten it, damaging my curls. These workers clearly don't care what you want and will cut your hair however they feel. My hair wasn't even cut evenly and I have patches that are longer than others. Will never come back, I would waste $5 on this place let alone $25+ read more

I didn't get a haircut but I went with my friend to get his cut. He has long curly hair and wanted to get it cut to his chin. There were about 3 others on the iPad before us, and about 3 employees. My friend waited about 20 minutes for Hilton specifically (waited for 2 people) so I would say it wasn't that long of a wait. We walked in and put his name down on an ipad and sat on the chair. I saw a few other men get their hair cut and the Vietnamese ladies did a very quick and neat trim on men's hair. I didn't get a chance to see how they do female hair, but it looks very nice! I felt my haircut was rushed due to coming in a 30mins before closing. I get it, cutting it a bit close there. (pun not intended) But if you're going to still take me in, don't rush. Politely ask them come back tomorrow so that you can properly take care of the customer and not give them a quick cut so that you can finish before closing time. The worst experience ever. I told this woman to just trim my daughters hair, which was extremely long and I wanted to keep the length, she immediately cut it by 5 inches. she cut it so badly that I do not even know what she did with the hair. I complained about it right away and then she made it worse. Then she started complaining that I don't know what I'm talking about.. the only reason I went was that I had a coupon so I thought I'll try this place for my daughter. I was so angry at the haircut and she asked me for a payment while I was still complaining that she did a horrible job by cutting it so uneven and also extremely short. I gave her the coupon, and then gave my credit card she looked at me and stated" I had a feeling you had a coupon'', I was startled, and I did not know what she meant Firstly, I do not want to pay, and then she had the nerve to insult me because I had a coupon. This woman is extremely racistic and has no idea of what she was doing with the hair and then she had the nerve to treat me badly. I am so appalled with these people and that salon. Don't usually write reviews but this one was not good. My boyfriend and I went in to get our haircut, i don't expect much from great clips, but they have raised their prices so now it was 25-30 depending on how much you tip. I don't mind paying $12-$15 for a crappy haircut but $27? My boyfriends hair was completely messed up in the back, looked super patchy, the older man that works there is not good and was super rushed, I saw another guys hair he did after that and I almost went up to him and told him it was uneven in the back cause it's looked THAT bad. I noticed he didn't change sizes, he just used the same size for the whole fade.... I'm not an expert hairstylist but I've seen enough mens haircuts to know that's definitely not what you are suppose to do.... The lady that did my hair was decent, I have thick hair so I get that it's not the easiest to cut, it was alright, a little choppy and I'm definitely going to fix some areas myself when I get home, it would be fine if it was cheaper, but I would totally spend $10 more to go to a place that actually knows what they are doing, won't be coming back to this salon. read more

Bangs are different lengths on both sides. The male I sat down with first was ripping out my hair when combing it so bad I had to do it myself. I told them I was unhappy and they switched me to a lady who was rushing and cutting off random chunks of hair as "bangs". If you want to pay money to have your hair and day ruined, come to great clips. For $22 haircut what i got was a uneven ,crooked haircut done by "Kathy Binh" . She was pretty rough on my face when i told to dry shave my early beard and in process of shaving my face with her "man hands" she peeled off skin fron my throat area, man did that hurt !! but i kept my calm since i am already sittin in chair. A quick haircut turned into my worst haircut nightmare. Then she tried to clean my face with a dirty towel which she used on god knows how many faces earlier. i tried my best to get away from it but ...kathy got better of me. What's in a haircut? I never thought much about it until my perspective changed. I had a diving accident in 2014. I'm paralyzed below my chest with no functional use of my arms or hands. So appearances above the chest are more important to me now - you gotta make use of what you have. That means goofy hair is no longer acceptable for me. Sadly, it happens when my hair gets too long on the side of my head, because that's where the controls for my wheelchair lie. So I like my hair a bit shorter on the side of my head. I tell the hairstylist what I want, and I get what I ask for. You're gonna like that. I like that they save my haircut online so if I go to a different location I come out looking the same. For any wheelchair users, the sites at Evergreen Square and Tully Road are approved by me - I have a huge electric chair. I recently got my cut here by Thao. I have a very simple cut but nobody ever seems to get it right. I really liked how it looked after she cut it and after receiving many compliments I decided it was time to review. Usually stylists will rush through the cut and I'll find long strands of hair or end up with lopsided sideburns. Thao was meticulous and paid attention to my hair when cutting. At other places, I've had them turn their heads while talking to someone AND continuing to buzz/cut my hair!!! So I appreciated the attentiveness. Their prices are higher than the other great clips I typically go to ($15 vs $17) so I will likely return with the coupons I get in the mail. I would have given 5 stars but I was skipped in the line without any explanation. I figured the stylist who pulled the person after me didn't know how to do a men's cut so she skipped me. During my cut I noticed she had a male guest in her chair. Anyhow, passing someone in the queue without any explanation is a bit rude. To be honest I've avoided coming here because for some reason I like to take chances on terrible Vietnamese hair salons. Since I was in the area, short on time, and in desperate need of a haircut, I decided to come in here. I was immediately greeted by a woman name Karen. Karen has got to be the most endearing hairstylist I've ever come across. She makes it a point to learn your name and say it at least 5 times throughout your haircut. She explains exactly what and why she's doing what she's doing. She actually reminded me to wash my hair after a haircut, I can't even be mad. As an athlete, my hair was pretty damaged due to all the chlorine and poor little pony tails it has endured! Not to mention, my last haircut from some other salon left me with hair reminiscent of a 14 year old emo teeny bopper (thick on top, thin on bottom), needless to say, I hated it. Karen fixed it right up erasing a weird rat tail like layer and rounding out the layers to the best of her ability. She wanted to cut a little more than what I was usually comfortable with, but she actually asked me & told me why! I like that she asked me first before she cut it because I know we all have horror stories where the stylist expressed a little too much creative freedom! A cigarette smoke infested worker once condescendingly asked me "did you cut your hair yourself?" with a disgusted look on his face. As two other stylists were inspecting my hair, I told him no, that it was another worker at this salon. Comes to show what horrible amateurs lurk in this shop. If you aren't picky about your hair, this is a good place for a cheap and BASIC haircut. Unlike some other cheap places that do whatever they want with your hair, most of the people here will listen to the instructions you give them.
