Great experience with our remodel! Had entire downstairs and the middle level of our tri level done with stone and LVT. All of our questions were answered ( and there were many!!) whether it was Dave or the guys installing the floors. They were there exactly when they said they would be, very polite and courteous . We found a slow leak in our wall and they were very flexible , letting us resolve that issue before moving on and finishing the floor! There were some communication issues when it came to installation process. Bait and switch pricing. Give very low general pricing quoted in showroom, then once they measure price skyrockets. Man that measured had no clue and was unprofessional. Great Floors was $12k higher for identical product from other local company. Apples to Apples. Gave them a chance to re-quote, they said they would, then never got back to me. I was getting ready to sell my home and was feeling stressed for time and worried about my budget as I was planning on recarpeting as well as refinishing my hardwood floors and considering changing my master bathroom flooring to tile. I was refered to Great Floors by my real estate agent and they were so helpful. I was able to stay within my budget and even able to get the tile floor that I wanted in the master bath and all in a timely manner. I recently had two rooms carpeted by Great Floors, Bellevue. Although I had an issue with the carpet pad - having received a different product than what I thought I had purchased, my overall experience with the Bellevue store was very good. When I noticed that the pad was different the installers were almost done with the installation. I called the store and was put in touch with Jim, the store manager, who calmly and professionally explained that the product I thought I purchased was not available to him for small project installations (he had to order in large volume) and that the product I received was of equal or better quality. He went on to give me a comparison of attributes on both products but also gave me a couple of options to rectify the issue. He then told me to take the weekend to decide how I wanted to proceed, he would call me on Monday for my decision. True to his word, I received a call Monday morning when we were able to finalize our agreement. I was very impressed and appreciative of the way Jim handled the situation. Every step of the process, except for the initial sales estimates, to refloor our house has been a nightmare to deal with. You heard me right...a nightmare. My wife initially got some sales estimates from Bill Scott who was helpful right up to the point we handed over the credit card for 50% down. We purchased wood laminate upstairs and down with carpet in three bedrooms and on the stairs, over 2200 sq ft. On the day of installation, the installers showed up, ripped out the old flooring then said that the subfloors were not even and they wouldn't attempt to install the laminate as it would 'void the warranty.' OK, maybe this was an oversight, maybe just the state of the house. The installer, Pavel, was exceptional and certainly went the extra mile to good work, so we trusted his advice. An extra $700 later and another day of delay the floors are now 'leveled'. Except it's the weekend so the installers left us without a usable kitchen: water turned off and appliances in the middle of the dining room. It is pretty difficult to feed a family of five but we tried to roll with it. The installers come back after the weekend and proceed to use up all of the laminate...but the job is not done. Bill made a mistake while measuring and did not order enough wood. OK, maybe this is honest, but how hard is it to measure properly when your business is SELLING FLOORING? We have to order more and wait another week. Meanwhile, the carpet finally shows up and the installers get going on that. However, they showed up without any instructions from the company or the proper materials. They were attempting to create transitions between rooms by asking for old cardboard to fold up. They were never informed that we wanted the squeaks removed, as promised by Bill as part of the sale. Towards the end of the day, they use up the carpeting, but this job is not done. No carpet on the stairs or hallway. Bill did not measure the carpet section of the house properly either. Seriously...a flooring professional screws up measuring twice on the same job? It's another week before we can get the carpet to complete the job. The kids and I are stepping on bare wood and cardboard in the interim. Seems like their warehouse is across the country when you need some more carpet. Bill is telling us that we are 'in luck' since they managed to locate some carpet that matches what we already have partially installed. In luck? Wow. I suppose I should have specified matching carpet when ordering. On the last day of the month, Bill keeps calling wanting to get authorization for the final 50% payment. We said, "No, the job is not done," but he assures us that it's no problem to get it completed and that he needs payment right away. Why should we pay ahead of time when we have a contract that clearly says 50% at time of order and 50% at time of completion? Bill then leaves a demanding message that he needs payment right away or his management will get angry. Fine, not my problem. Finish the work and receive payment. Wait a minute: HE CHARGES OUR CREDIT CARD ANYWAY and we only find out by reviewing our transactions online the next day. Is this even legal? We never received a receipt for any of our payments and don't have any documentation in our possession that shows bill of sale or any evidence of the work done for warranty purposes. About two months after this installation debacle is over with, our floor starts buckling downstairs. We call for warranty service and are told to wait a week for someone to check it out. He comes out, says that the floor was not installed correctly (per manufacturer specifications) and needs an extra transition. We then have to order more wood in, wait a week and a half for that and then schedule the warranty work. Two weeks later they finally get out to do the work. I suppose we will just have to expect delay after delay and be worked in when it's convenient for Great Floors. I have escalated our horrible experiences to Mark, the manager of this location. He came out to the house and personally inspected the installation. I told him all of the issues that we have had with quote prices changing, orders not placed correctly and faulty installation and balking on getting warranty service. He ended up waiving the 'minimum order fee' that Bill was trying to charge because 'the system forces it.' Wow, great way to take care of your customers. Why am I writing this review now? We just received a collections 'FINAL NOTICE' for the transition that was part of the warranty repair. Seriously...they charged the transition to our account, did not credit it as a warranty repair (as Mark said, it will be taken care of) and have never once been contacted as having any balance. I guess passing the buck up to the Great Floors corporate offices in Coeur d'Alene, ID is how the Bellevue Great Floors location is operating. Shop around folks. read more

I ordered from here and was told the carpet installer would arrive around 8:30. I waited until 9 but then had to go to a meeting, gave my sister the keys to open the door for the guy when he arrives. I received no calls from the carpet installer and upon calling them later around 11, the store employee apologized and rescheduled for the next available spot. 2 days later, I get a call saying that the installer was waiting and I will be charged $75 for the inconvenience I caused. Oh to be a carpet sold by Great Floors. It's only been nine months since we met, but you already look like the running of the bulls took place right in my very own home. If you were a Christmas tree you'd be the one on the Charlie Brown special when it was still on the tree lot. A gum - you'd be a disappointing stick of Fruit Stripe where the flavor is gone ten seconds after putting in in my mouth. And you kinda remind me of that ugly ducking before he became a swan but uglier. How embarrassed and ashamed you must be. To have to deal with dishonest sales people (Bill) and the store managers who tell the people you will resist stains when you do not. We were so good to you - Never wearing our shoes indoors. Cleaning you constantly. But you still look like the floor of a petting zoo. On a good day. Yes Great Floors - Refusing to replace or refund money to hard working people. We even went to corporate guys. I guess it's OK to sell carpet that lasts less than a year. Poor Great Floors carpet. In the end I don't hate you - I don't even blame you - In fact I feel sorry for you. (heavy sigh) PS Great Floors sold me a carpet. It lasted less than a year. Very good at helping pick out supplies, but that's where it ends. Installation occurred after numerous scheduling issues, which could have been the fault on the general contractor. Once tile and wood flooring were installed, we needed touch up work which took forever to schedule and when it was scheduled, they never showed up. Why would you grout tile next to a countertop when you know it will crack? Ours cracked and split from the other grout within days. Trying to get them back to fix it has been an absolute joke. Just trust their scheduling capabilities like a three ring circus... Never knowing what is real. Ultimately after 2 months of this, we are ready to hire our own help to fix this. Update on September 13- it took a while, but the grout has been repaired. Better late than never. read more

This business is to be avoided at all costs. First they assured me the carpet would be installed by a specific date, then they told me the day before the due date that it wouldn't be available for a month. Then when I threatened to cancel the order, they said two weeks, all the while blaming first the mill and then me for believing them when they quoted the first delivery date. On the day of the installation, they tore out the old carpet and then inspected the new only to find it was defective. They didn't bother to check it before they sent it to my home. Their contracted installers said that Great Floors was the only company they dealt with that didn't bother to inspect the carpet before customer delivery. When I spoke with the manager Mark, he was patronizing, suggesting I should have known the carpet would not be delivered on time and that it wasn't their fault, but the mills fault and therefore Great Floors was not responsible. I say he's right. Great Floors is totally irresponsible. I have wasted time and money with them and urge others to protect themselves and shop elsewhere. read more

Worst installation experience I have ever had in my life: great floor hired cheap installers for my hardwood floor and they did horrible job in sanding and finish, resulting the surface to be extremely rough for which they had to come in re-do the job. The installers also caused numerous incidents in my house, breaking the mirrors and floor boards. The store person is super non-responsive. Never ever use great floor! read more

We came to Great Floors initially for new flooring for our entire home, and were then surprised to learn they also offer interior design/renovation services, which we were also looking for. Immediately upon meeting with the designer Jason we were sold. He helped us plan a beautiful layout for our new kitchen, which included a major expansion, and got us on the schedule quickly and for a great price compared to some other quotes we had been given. We are still in the completion phase of the reno but so far things are looking amazing and Jason has been with us every step of the way making sure things are personally handled and any issues addressed right away. They've been a huge part of our extensive home remodel that has included everything from the new kitchen, to flooring throughout, new lighting, and some exterior work, helping us make our home what we dreamed of. Great floors did an outstanding job in customer satisfaction, I've picked Armstrong Natural Hickory for 800 sq ft and may be it was in stock they were more flexible. Bill Scott is a great rep. I had my own installation guy but regardless they deliver moreover Bill made sure the delivery should be on time so he hopped on the delivery vehicle and deliver by himself. I opened all the boxes and replace all the faulty planks free of cost and again it might be possible as they were in stock but they did replace all the damaged planks which was incredible. Kudos to Bill and great floor. My floor looks awesome now. read more

We worked with Bill Enderle. He was helpful and patient as it took us awhile to figure out what we wanted. He called us the day of the installation and the day after to ensure everything went well. I went in to Great Floors to pick out tile for my fireplace on a Sunday and found a tile I liked. After ordering it, Great Floors ran my credit card and told me the tile would be in Wednesday and would call to confirm with me on Monday if there were any issues. I never heard from Great Floors. On Thursday, I called to confirm that I could go pick up the tile. The representative that picked up the phone said he would look into it, but had to run back to his computer. He then put me into his voicemail. After calling back, he checked and said the tile would arrive on the following Wednesday. When I explained the situation to him, he said that he would talk with the sales rep that I worked with originally and have him call me to give me a full update. I never heard from him. SO! The day they promised the tile was to arrive (for the second time), I didn't hear anything. So the next morning I gave a call to Great Floors to find out what's going on. The person I spoke with said that the tile isn't in yet. He didn't know when it was going to be in and couldn't tell in his computer system. He said he would find out and call me back. He never did. I called back later and he said that the tile was in Kent, but they wouldn't be able to have it in until at least Thursday. At that point, I decided I was done with the missed commitments and cancelled my order. I'll find tile somewhere that will actually deliver it. read more

In store experience was great - the associate (unfortunately don't remember the name) spent a long time with us going through the options. It felt that he fully understood what's important for us and was showing us what we wanted to see. The installation was smooth, and the floor looked great. I came in with a client that lives on Mercer Island, and she had already visited this business a day earlier but questions were not answered by the sales person. We walked in again and there was a young man talking to another co-worker...10 minutes went by and we were still not acknowledged, we saw an older man at his computer and we finally went to him. He pawned us back to the young man that was chatting and when he finally started to help us, he could not answer any questions, even though their initial conversation a few days earlier stated one thing, this conversation was different (referring to when an item would be delivered) He could not keeps his info straight. To make things even more aggravating, he was snapping his gum. We lost quite a bit of time but went elsewhere, where we got exceptional service and spent quite a few thousand dollars! I cannot even begin to describe how terrible my experience was with Great Floors. We were basically the easiest sale in the history of floors -- we walked in, looked around and said "we want to buy this hardwood". I am still in disbelief of how badly they screwed up. In short: 1. We made an appointment for a measure and quote. They did not show up. They could not be reached by phone. They called me days later to make another appointment. 2. Almost a week after the second appointment, I get an e-mail asking me to take some measurements for them, because they made mistakes. 3. Another week after that they call and say they need to remeasure. Fine. 4. I get a random phone call at 2 in the afternoon from them demanding I let them into my home to deliver the raw materials. I'm at work, they never made an appointment or suggested they would be there that day. I cancel meetings for the day and come home to let them in. 5. Installers show up and quote a half day install. 12 hours later they're nowhere close to half done and leave saying they'll be there the next morning at the crack of dawn. 6. Installers don't show up the next day. I call Great Floors and they have no clue what's going on. I don't hear from them again for a few days until I get a random phone call in the middle of the day demanding I leave work early again so they can look at how it's coming along. I drop everything I'm doing to go home and let them in. 7. Another appointment is made for them to finish the floor. They finish it, but in the act break the door to my new stainless steel dishwasher and leave a ton of creaking dead center in my floor. Oh, and it turns out they mis-measured and left me with an extra carton (about $200) of wood. They haul it away. 8. I get a random phone call in some evening from a Great Floors guy saying he's at my house and wants to come in to look at it. OK.... He inspects the squeak and the dishwasher and agrees it has to be fixed. 9. The next evening the same guy randomly calls me again and says he has to look at it again. He brought another guy from a DIFFERENT FLOORING COMPANY to look at it with him. 10. They make another appointment to do the final fix. They dent my dishwasher further, but replace the squeaky board. This was done by the different flooring company, not by great floors. This guy is extremely cocky and rude. 11. My dishwasher doesn't open, it's dented, and although the floor doesn't squeak anymore, it's not totally level in the middle. To add insult to injury, they want to charge me for the extra box of wood that was ordered because they mis-measured. 12. I told them they'd have big problems on their hands if they charged my credit card for the extra box of wood, and that they're no longer welcome in my house. 13. Salesman asks me if I still want them to replace all my carpet as well. This is the greatly abridged version that I can type up in less than an hour. There were many more useless, random visits in the meantime. DO NOT LET GREAT FLOORS INTO YOUR HOME. DO NOT LET GREAT FLOORS INTO YOUR HOME. I ended up getting my carpet done at Haight Carpeting. The guy showed up at the agreed time, on the dot, finished the measure in 5 minutes, the install was painless and easy, and the quote was $1000 less than Great Floors'. edit: years later and the creaks and cracks in my floor are back and worse than ever. I curse our great floors every day when I walk across this piece of crap. I'm going to have to pay someone to rip my entire floor out and 100% redo it. read more

I went to Great Floors Bellevue on the recommendation of SAF in Kent who is a distributor of Johnsonite, a manufacturer of rubber flooring. After waiting a few minutes, a salesperson approached me and I explained that I needed rubber flooring to cover a stair and showed him the Johnsonite info I'd printed from the web. He tossed me a chain of samples from another company and said "how about this"? I looked at them and told him that it was sort of what I wanted but that Johnsonite had a lot more color options. He said that having lots of color choices meant a long wait and that I'd be better off with this option because it was locally available. Another salesperson must have overheard the conversation because he showed up with a Johnsonite chain of samples - perfect! Except, the, first salesman (older guy, gray hair, thin) said "that's for wall base! Not flooring! Can't help you!" I had to get him to explain to me what wall base was, which he snidely did, and he stated that Johnsonite rubber flooring was not available. Huh? It's all over the web! I asked him if he could recommend any other store that might carry it and he said "Nope, I can't". I thanked him (snidely) for all his help and he said "I'm trying!" Seriously?? I drove a block away to Carpet to go and in 20 minutes had samples of exactly what I needed and information the salesperson had called to get regarding ordering and pricing. They will be the ones who recarpet my home when I get to that point next year. read more

Our Bellevue Condo needed recarpeting of two 4 story stairwells in 2017. We contacted several companies in Bellevue and Seattle for information. We received bids from three Bellevue Flooring companies, and selected Great Floors of Bellevue. The decision was made based on our overall assessment of the company itself. Bill Enderle was our contact person. Bill was personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. Their measurer was also skilled, professional, knowledgeable, and equipped to do an accurate job. The bid was most fair. We split the project into two halves, and did one half in the Spring of 2017, and since we were so satisfied, did the other half in the Fall of 2017. The team of installers selected for our first project,Antonio-lead, Leonardo, Jose, and Anthony, was so outstanding that we scheduled the second half based on their availability. These men are superior technicians, were careful of our building, friendly......great experience. My wife and I have recarpeted several homes and condos......these are FINE PEOPLE. About a month ago, we made a consultation visit to the Bellevue store and spent over an hour picking flooring for our house with the help from a design consultant. We were told we would be getting calls from the estimators to come to our house from measurements. We never did and that was the end of it. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before going here! The sales staff was very nice but as soon as I placed my order the service went downhill. I was promised 2 weeks delivery and it has been almost 6 and I still do not have my rug. I have had to call multiple times with questions and each time I hear a different date. Yesterday I called to speak to the manager and he promised to call me back with an update...no return call yet. Also the binding procedure is a little shady. Had to write a check to someone else (not the actual company). After spending $1800 on a rug and horrible post sales support I hope the actual rug exceeds my expectations! read more

My 84-year-old mother was excited to have her house updated and decided to go with this company - big mistake! She went out of town for a month as the work was being done, but her contractor immediately noticed a problem with the carpeting as soon as he saw it. There was a flub in the weave, and it looks almost as though the carpet has a tear in it. He took a picture right away and called the company repeatedly with no response. When my mother returned, she contacted the company repeatedly. Eventually, they sent out two guys who showed up on the wrong day. They said it was her fault but did a fix on the carpet which immediately unraveled at the same spot. When she called the manager/owner - Jerry - he told her that he trusted "his guys" and that the problem was her fault. Really?! You install a faulty carpet in an 84-year-old woman's home and then blame her? Shame on you, Jerry. The problem still has not been fixed, phone calls not returned, no satisfaction here. I entered the store on Bel Red and about 5 salemen were standing around. I went to the wood flooring on my right and overheard one of the salesmen comment on my size and my cane. Since they had obviously noted I was in the store I waited to be approached. It didn't happen. After over 10 minutes, I left, got in my car and drove to Auburn Lumber Liquidators where I bought over 2100 sq feet of flooring. I would never set foot in this store again. read more

HORRIBLE. Getting sales assistance is the only good part. They charge your credit card when the installer leaves their facility before any work is done. Work was not completed the first day and the installer complained how the scheduler would schedule more than they could handle and he didn't know when he would be back. The install so far was poor with rough places, uneven and bubbles. Sales person said he would get the installer back out and he would fix the problems and finish the install. 3 days later the same guy showed up in his old, beaten up van and said the work couldn't be repaired and that is the best he could do. Just bought a new house- wanted to rip out all the flooring and put in hard surfaces- went in to Great Floors, spent maybe 15 min. picking the flooring & colors and checked out the samples to take home. The "lady" was very knowledgeable and helpful. Went back two days later, returned the samples, let the lady know we decided on LVP, (luxury vinyl plank) and since it was about 15 days till closing on the house, she offered to mail us small samples of the 3 colors we chose to match up paint etc.., and she would call us for the measurement appointment closer to closing on the house. She never called... We never received the samples. I called her and she said "oh yeah, I have your info in front of me". I told her I needed to set up for their people to come measure so we could get the ball rolling. She said she would have to call me back after talking to the installer. No call back.. still no call back... Still no samples. We gave her multiple chances to install our 3400sq feet needed of flooring (house is 3900sq ft). Needing the ball rolling, we walked into a different business and they were not only professional, had exactly what we picked out at great floors, but gave us a better deal, had the measurements being taken 3 days later and it's all set up for install -. Great floors let a good paying client just slip between the cracks! Would not recommend them... Very unorganized and unprofessional. read more

Well, to tell you the truth, we had a big problem with Big Floors. It wasn't all that fin to deal with. THAT SAID, they sucked it up and made it right. In the long run, we got what we wanted. I supposed MOST of the time people's jobs are done fine. However, rest assured that if they f*&$ up, Mark and the Great Floors people will turn it around and make it right. Huge selection, but do some research before heading over. Their customer service is very average.

We worked with Gordon Masch to replace all the carpet in our house (8 rooms), and here's how it went: Pros: * Gordon was easy to work with, seemed to know his inventory pretty well, and steered us in the right direction immediately. He promised quick turnaround and a high-quality installation, and guess what? Great Floors delivered! * The estimator (I think his name was Tom) called when they said he would, came by when he said he would, worked amazingly quickly and still somehow produced the measurements that allowed them to minimize the yards we had to purchase. * These measurements also allowed them to pre-cut sections of carpet, thus minimizing the actual on-site installation time. * Gordon said the crew would be top-notch, and they were: again, good communication, easy scheduling, they came when they said they would, were careful to protect all our home surfaces, worked hard all day and left the place cleaner than when they arrived. * Since it was such a big job, they had to return for a couple of hours on the second day, so overnight we took a very close look for any flaws that would need correction, but really couldn't find any. So they quickly finished up and were on their way! * We shopped around at a couple of Big Box stores as well as competing carpet stores, and Great Floors had the best total pricing for the kind of carpet we were looking for...maybe the people complaining about prices were looking at super-high-end or something? We did lower-end Karastan, and it looks and feels great. * Good follow-up after the install. Gordon called and sent a note to make sure we were happy with everything; not everybody does this, obviously. Cons: * This is not really specific to Great Floors, but it is frustrating how cryptic all the carpet manufacturers and retailers are about disclosing actual carpet specs...this makes it hard to do apples-to-apples comparisons, which I suppose is why they do it. * It's our fault, but because we didn't ask enough questions about the pad quality, we ended up with "rebond" (which it says right on the contract we signed) but if I had it to do over, I might have paid a little more for a higher-quality pad. About 10 years ago we did a whole-house re-carpet (different house), and worked with another local retailer, and that experience was a bit of a nightmare; I was apprehensive this time, but the Great Floors experience was waaayyyyy better.
