Oh my word!! For those of us who still eat bread, we salute you!!! We have wanted to try this bakery and today was the day. Let's just say amazingly fresh wonderful flavors. They gave J and I samples of the breads; raisin walnut, apple cinnamon, cranberry orange and their newest "Popeyes" which has spinach and Parmesan cheese. Went here based on the good reviews, and this was my first and last visit. I have no way of knowing if what they sell is actually good because I was ignored by the staff. Stood at the order counter for several minutes, and despite one of the employees looking directly at me more than once, and being less then five feet away, I was not even acknowledged. After waiting for a while to see if they were even going come over and speak, I gave up and left, without the staff ever saying a word to assist me. Their sandwiches are good but don't expect any crazy flavors. They're made with fresh ingredients, but they're very simple. It's a nice quiet small coffee/cafe shop. Very disappointed. I placed a very large order over $125.00 and the products were stale. I specifically asked for specialty breads that were suppose to be baked fresh based on the baking schedule. The girl said they would still be fresh days after baking...NOT what I paid full price for! I was giving as gifts and requested they were packaged nicely...DID NOT HAPPEN. The scones were thrown in cheap Chinese containers and half the breads weren't labeled and in cheap bags. I was so disappointed and embarrassed to give as gifts. The kitchen is visible and no one handling food was wearing a mask. A woman that was walking around serving customers at tables and taking orders was also not wearing a mask. Only person wearing a mask was the girl at the cash register. read more

I wish people would stop railing about the mask wearing! The staff always wear masks in the public areas. I go every week 1-2x a week. The kitchen is open and inaccessible to the public so they don't wear masks while rolling and cutting the dough which then gets baked... no virus is heat tolerant. Awesome local place, they seem to make most or all breads, scones, muffins etc in house. The berry cream scone has large savory chunks of sweet sour cream to contrast the sweetness. They also have salads, soups and sandwiches. Good place to replace Caturra cafe since they closed. They also stock and sell fresh brewed Lamplighter coffee! read more

Poor service. I ordered a sandwich to go. After waiting about 10 minutes and seeing others who ordered after me get their orders, I asked about mine. They said it was coming. Then someone walks up and hands them a greasy bag saying they got the wrong order. Turns out it was mine. They told me they would re-wrap the sandwich. Seems the proper thing to do would be to make a fresh one. Anyway, they re-wrap it and put it back in the same greasy bag and hand it to me. As you can see, I do not write a lot of reviews and that is because I am extremely tolerant of the challenges a restaurant faces these days. That said, having been in this cafe a couple of times, I've decided it is not for me. When you walk in, there is chaos. It's up to you to figure out where to go to order, even to figure out what is on the menu. Are you limited to the muffins behind the counter? Is there more? There's no way to know. This could be covered up with outgoing and helpful service, but in my experience (and it may just be me) I have been treated dismissively. They seem to be very busy at lunchtime (where the chaos is greatest) so, again, perhaps it is on me for not being able to figure out the process. But the process just seems needlessly customer-unfriendly. read more

Great Harvest is one of my favorites lunch spots. I come here pretty often and I also come visit them at the farmer's market at Great Big Greenhouse. Their dog treats are GREAT my dog is obsessed with them and is always so happy when I come home with more for his treat jar (very affordable as well). I came in the other day and placed a togo order the staff is always so sweet and patient. I got the chai latte which was delicious and I got the tomato soup! I love coming here because its very affordable for a local coffee shop. This place is a hidden gem and I can't get enough!! If you come visit I definitely recommend the iced sugar cookie and the Sesame chicken grain bowl! Don't forget to tip because they deserve it :) read more

Had a sweet tooth and so I googled the closest bakery to home and voila Great Harvest popped up. First time coming here and the staff were wonderful! They had samples of shortbread available so gave it a try. No exaggeration here it was the BEST shortbread I've had and that is coming from someone who grew up with shortbread in the house the majority of the time. My hubby and I were hungry for a good scone and are so happy we stumbled on this adorable bakery. We ordered a scone and bread pudding with a couple of handcrafted coffee drinks, what a treat! They make authentic macchiatos here, which is a huge deal for me because they are not only my favorite coffee drink but hard to find in this Starbucks world. The bakery mills all of threat own flour here and you can taste the love they put into heir breads and pastries. I am a cafe fanatic and am always looking for new places to do work while enjoying coffee and breakfast treats. I am so excited to have stumbled upon this gem. I have had their bread before but never realized a local cafe existed! The atmosphere is amazing, it is clean and relaxing with soft music playing in the background.
