This place also sells the Snapper and Stihl brands of machinery, among others, and offers tune-up and repair services. The reason I rated this establishment two stars is because of my experience when I went to purchase an air filter. The total was just over $6, and I intended to support a local business instead of a chain store, even if it meant paying more. When it became clear to the cashier (Gundy) that I intended to pay with my Visa card (as I usually do), she gave me a hard time about it. She told me that it would be better to pay with cash for that small of a purchase. She recommended that purchases above $20 or so would be better for a card payment. This would have not been so bad had there been a sign or something that made it clear that using a card required spending X amount of dollars. She let me make the purchase because of who I was (my dad is a customer in good standing here), but I was made to feel as though I was taking a liberty by paying with my Visa card. My conclusion is this: if there is no sign that treats everyone the same about whether they can make a purchase with a credit card, how do I know whether or not I was being singled out to be given a hard time about it? Are there others who have had their card refused because it was too little of a purchase, or simply because of who they were? This is lawsuit material, and unless United Mowers makes it clear to every customer about what is considered a minimum credit card purchase, I will prefer to shop elsewhere where one is treated as a valued customer instead of someone who is excused for using plastic.

Relative to nursery itself, Bordines has a very large selection of healthy plants/tree/shrubs where their staff in quite knowledgeable in all garden matters in general. The flower prices from what I can tell are in line with the big Box stores for the most part where they have nice sales throughout the season and especially on Memorial Day weekend which is when I buy most of my flowers in particular their hanging baskets which are a great price during this holiday weekend. trees and shrubs are a tad higher in general but the selection is quite large versus the big box stores and are definitely quite healthy and ready for transplant unlike the big box stores. Overall a great placer to shop for all your garden needs where you can rest assured yours plants will be healthy with a great start on them acclimating to there new home and surviving and thriving throughout the season.

The place is medium-sized, but was fully stocked, was neat and clean. They had some nifty and handy cleaning accessories by the racks in the front. I mainly went to see what kind of green/environmentally-friendly and traditional chemical products they had on hand in concentrate form as it starts getting expensive purchasing cleaners retail by-the-bottle. I was satisfied enough with their selection. I am not sure if there is a special way they set up their pricing structure, but there were no prices on most items. Not even on the rack labels, which was half-annoying. I had to keep asking the lady at the counter so she could look prices up on the computer and I just gave up since I was really just browsing and didn't want to become annoying myself. I can't say the lady at the counter seemed super-knowledgable about stuff, but the owner (who wasn't out front at the time) supposedly knows more. Nelco has been around for years and worth checking out if you're looking to get ambitious with some very specific and/or large cleaning jobs.
