Lots of sweet treats and different ethnic flavors and types of food offered. The mall is huge!! Only 1 single story but oh my gosh . I kept walking and it never ended. This review is for the overall condition of the mall. I Have not been here in a while and the place has gone down hill. I visited the women's rest room in the food court. The sinks had some black mold on the crevices. The soap and water sensors did not work. This mall has the potential to be great! But based on this experience alone, I'd rate it 2 stars. Today 4/14/26 i went to the mall with my girlfriend and my other friend. We were by the miniso popup that is opening tomorrow and we were looking at it interested in going. My girlfriend stepped on gum right there that was laying on the floor in front of the display and immediately started to figure off out what was on her shoe when this older white women with shorter hair in a electric wheelchair approached us and asked what we were doing. She is a worker here at the great mall Milpitas because she had a work shirt on along with a walkie talkie. I said oh nothing were trying to figure out what she stepped on, She didnt say anything and we all we quiet after that. We pulled out a tissue and cleaned it for a second and she drove off. We then started walking off and then I see her about 60 ft in front of us pull out her phone and take a photo of us with flash. Me, my girlfriend, and my friend are all above the age of 20 so im not really sure what she thought we were doing but I know for sure its not okay. I work security so i know taking a photo of someone can mean a few reasons but all of them not being good. We didnt say anything to provoke it. She saw that we knew she took a picture and drove off as fast as she can on her electric wheelchair. This is 100% not okay. Having someone working like that is a hazard to the company! Decent local mall for shopping to get essentials, no high end luxurious stores here. Lots of shops to choose from apparel to toys, sports, and food! There is food court with ok options. Wish there can be more higher quality food options! More fast food chain than healthy ones. Recently more nice food vendors like ZERO& just opened and a ume tea will be opening! Pretty excited about that! The mall is EXTREMELY crowded on the weekends so come during the week! The air quality gets stuffy and it's really hard to breath/get fresh air if you come during then. There are occasionally dogs in the mall... sometimes they go and do their thing on the side walls!!! So this mall is definitely NOT CLEAN. Great Mall is a massive mall with fascinating stores, from outlet types to unique stores like comic books; various stores range from Marshalls, Burlington, and even Nike outlets. The list of stores can go on, but also the different food options, which is excellent. Another aspect is movie theater and Dave and Busters all in one place. Don't expect much service, just a lot of walking, but they have a website that helps you find specific stores. We visited on 1/1, and the restroom conditions were unacceptable. The first bathroom was extremely dirty, with urine and feces on the floor. One toilet was backed up, and none of the stalls were usable. In the second bathroom, at least one stall also had urine on the floor. The soap dispensers were empty, and instead there was a bottle of very diluted liquid on the counter, which may not have even been soap. I understand that staffing may be limited on 1/1, but this level of cleanliness is not acceptable. read more

Immediately felt like I've seen this place before and I believe whichever company is in charge of the Great Mall is also those responsible for Ontario Mills down in SoCal because it's very similar to one another. Like Ontario Mills, the Great Mall is a mix of the standard mall fare (Bath & Body Works, Claire's) with some bigger outlet shops for brands like Puma or Aldo, a fancier shop here or there (Steve Madden - not the football guy outlet shop), food court, some sit down restaurants and some entertainment. There are some staples that I always stop by like Uniqlo, Daiso, and Miniso, so that was nice. Having a FYE there is pretty neat too since those are a dying relic with most people moving towards streaming services (so this serves as my anime/cute character merchandise stop). The Mini Cat Town really sets this mall apart from the others though and I am crossing my fingers that it stays a staple at the Great Mall since I've seen some similar attempts with other animals at other malls and it generally doesn't last too long. Mini Cat Town will be my go to stop for any future visits to the mall. Aside from that and convenience of some of the staple shops close to one another, I didn't find anything particularly amazing or mind blowing about this mall that sets it apart from others. Could easily kill an hour or two at the very least. Overall an all-around decent mall. read more

On Friday, Nov 28th around 5PM it was total chaos with traffic no one could move and it took two hours to get into the mall from less than one mile away. The admin people who run this mall need to look into a shuttle service and pay for more traffic and security folks. What is supposed to be the holiday cheer turns into horns and people shouting and if you have other use the restroom good luck while sitting in traffic. This place is huge and crowded. I couldn't believe how many people were there on a Saturday. Seemed like the 90s all over again, which is kinda fun to see since I was a teen at that time. And it seems like a lot of fashion is making a come back, too! We were there for Mini Cat Town mostly, and that was great! The cats were playful and cute, and it wasn't too busy. Reminded me of the mall pet stores back in the day, but a lot more humane (I think). To be honest it's been quite some time since I've actually walked around this whole mall. It's usually cherry picking when we go here for either just stopping by Marshalls or returning something at the Gap Factory. This last trip was to pick up some glasses from Vision Optometry and also perusing Marshalls. P A R K I N G We typically park closest to where we're going to shop to minimize walking time so I think the past 3 times we've been here I parked on the Marshalls side which tends to be quite full. Then when it comes to Christmas time then it's just almost impossible finding a spot in this area. If you don't particularly care about where you park, I would highly suggest the Dave and Buster side which is far from anything which typically has more spots open but again far from any entrances. I N S I D E As I've said, I've only really explored part of this mall recently and haven't see the whole way around in quite some time, so I'm sure stores have changed over time since it's hay day. I did notice their Restroom signs have been changed and improved to be honest. There's also a "walkway" between halves through Uniqlo if you need to take a shortcut. But if you're ever in need of an indoor walking area, this is a pretty nice place to do it, just tends to be busy with folks just meandering which I get. Sometimes you just want to get outside of the house without being in the elements and also get a chance to find that great deal. They do have this Lego Discovery Center thing inside as well as a food court so you can literally stay here for hours if you want something for your kids to do. O V E R A L L Not a bad shopping area especially that it's indoors, plus it's nice that they do have the halfway-ish point to double back if needed. I remember when they first built the mall there was no halfway point, so you just had to walk all the way around which is a great marketing strategy but not great for those who are not ambulatory. Be careful with the parking. They're relatively tight spaces and also make sure nothing of value is visible in the car. The Great Mall is good for finding designer brands at a bargain price. If you're looking for an "upscale mall," don't come here (rather, go to Valley Fair and/or Santana Row), but if you're looking for some great deals, I recommend the Great Mall! Boy, how many stores are here?! Maybe 150 or so? I also love the movie theater here... memories... when it was open... *the last movie I watched was last March, I saw "Bad Boys for Life" here. Amazing movie! Anyway, back to the Great Mall. Yes, it's large. Yes, it's very spread out. And sometimes it gets crowded (but not recently). I would say post-COVID, it has really been empty (I get it, capacity limits). Some of my favorite stores here: -Nike (for running shoes & athletic wear) -Skechers (for comfortable & cute work shoes). -Coach (sometimes there's a line-- but nice designer bags) -Guess -Steve Madden (good flats) I used to go to the Red Robin here too (nice bar & delicious burgers). I did end up finding the new shop and moved the review to the right business Green Biotics. What I can tell you with confidence is that one store can throw a whole shopping experience off. I could have easily walked out of the mall after that horrible experience at the start of my shopping. But I've been here plenty of times to know this new store experience was an anomaly. While the interaction at Green Biotics was sour the overall shopping area is great. There's a variety of shops. Super busy on weekends and holidays. Parking lot can get really busy and full on weekends and holidays. Bathrooms are always dirty and sticky or low on soap and water pressure but there's people cleaning them. This place is so big and has so many different stores. It's actually a beautiful shopping place. It doesn't get 4/5 stars because of how atrocious the bathrooms were. For a place as modern and beautiful the bathroom situation is completely inadequate. 2 sinks in a women's bathroom with crappy bathroom stalls that barely close and have no toilet seat covers. Not to mention both the men's and women's bathrooms had no soap. Who maintains this place? Aside from that I will say there's a lot to shop from. I so wanted to enjoy walking around and retail shopping again, at a mall. We used to shop inside malls as teenagers in Massachusetts, then as adults in Florida and Hawaii: because of the weather. Inside malls are air conditioned and usually very comfortable. Many seniors hang out in malls, lol! Many teenagers do, too! This mall which opened at 11:00, rather late in my opinion, did have stores with exterior doors that opened earlier, like Marshals. They are open late, 9:00 pm. Movie theater and plenty of restaurants are a good thing. Reasonable prices at many of the stores. Just not very impressed, but I am spoiled coming from the Monterey Peninsula,lol! Burned my lip real bad at the Dulce store when I grabbed ice cream and coffee, coffee was scolding hot and I never got a warning it was beyond hot, they actually took care off, the only issue I had was with the 2nd security guard that took my information but did not send me any documentation that I had been injured. I asked him for some burn cream and he was adamant that there was none in his first aid kit that he wouldn't even look in, the first security guard with the K9 was kind and empathetic, he actually found the burn cream. This review is specifically for the management at Simon Center at the Great Mall. I've been looking around for a location to open a second store for my business. I've spoken to a few leasing agents and as of today, I have not had anything bad to say about anyone. I spoke to JOHN today and his whole demeanor was just negative. He was not friendly at all, I asked a few questions that clearly made him rule me out as a potential tenant at the great mall. There is many ways to answer someone's questions without being rude and bitter. I was happy to hear back from him but when I got off the phone I just couldn't understand how someone like that could have a position dealing with customers. Sir you are not a county clerk, you are a leasing agent and a very rude one at that. It took everything in me not to be rude back, I'm just not that type of person. It's a decent mall. If you are someone who likes massages, they do have the chairs and kiosk masseuse. Make sure you have a timer with the kiosk masseuse, especially the kiosk by the food court. My mother sat and got a massage, he told her 20 minutes for 30$ and my mom told me to come back in 20. They didn't know that when the guy started working on my mom I started up my stopwatch and I was back at 19minutes. The guy tried to charge her for a 30min massage saying he asked if she wanted 30 during the massage. I'm glad I timed because I was telling the guy if he is charging for 30 he owes my mother 10min. He then tried to push for 25min charge instead like he was doing us a service. He couldnt argue after he saw i really did time him. These people are vultures and will scam you at a higher charge if you aren't careful. Pick your time and turn on your stopwatch or timer. read more

I love impromptu, like when my other half made a stop here on our way back from Monterey. I didn't even know this place existed and I am really glad I got to stop and shop at the Great Mall for a bit, which we only had 2 hours before closing time and I have to admit that 2 hours is not enough time, sad face!! The Great Mall, I was thinking to myself that the other half meant The Great Mall of America and I wanted to tell him, are you sure you got the right state, haha. This Mall is worth the stop, my opinion, super HUGE, very nice and organized mall. I love that the mall has lots of comfortable seats for especially my other half to sit and check his phone while I shop, I love huge screens with mall info., the little cute pop up shops, the candy kiosk, and during my visit it was Lunar New Year so there were Year of the Rat decorations. The customer service booth has a huge selection of gift cards for all of businesses at The Great Mall, that is a brilliant idea. I didn't have a problem with parking as we got to the mall a little after 7 pm which we found a stall right in front of entrance of The Great Mall sign. Great Mall located in Milpitas California is the largest indoor outlet mall managed by Simon, with over 200 shops. Besides shopping I noticed there is aDave & Busters, Olive Garden, Outback Steak House, and you can even catch a movie before or after at the Century Theaters 20, Cool! Overall, I had a great time spent shopping here, I was glad I got to squeeze in a little shopping during this trip at Forever 21, after checking out half of the mall and even got my TCBY fix since we don't have a TCBY back in Hawaii anymore. I frequent the kpop store at this mall and whew!! Let me tell you how sorry I feel for those female staff.. Whenever I came there, there was always that creepy old security guard (His badge said Pina) staying there for 30 minutes to an hour! When I'd try to purchase anything, he'd be in the way of the register chatting up the staff and distracting them, extremely unprofessional! On top of that, I hear his conversations about Asian girls.. then you look at the staff.. ALL seemingly underage Asian girls! Even when I'd ask for help with the staff and ask questions, sometimes he would answer rudely speaking for them. Great Mall do better hiring your security!! Is the Great Mall great?? Well, it's aiight!! They definitely could use some more parking, but there are a lot of outlet type stores here, all configured in one big circle!! For all the outlet type stores, I didn't necessarily see outlet type prices. But I did like the variety here, there were a lot of stores I've never even heard of before. The big kahuna here is Dave & Busters, that place is always busy. I'm not a big shopper or Mall guy, so Dave & Busters is usually the main reason I even go here.
