This was my wife and I first time attending any event at Great Park LIve. We were here to see Arrival from Sweden as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. Traffic to enter the venue was ugly and slow due to other venue events that were ending as we were entering. I take partial blame for not realizing that Great Park Irvine sent both a text and email to me approx. 7 hours before showtime to advise me of parking and traffic issues that I would encounter. Once we entered, we were both pleasantly surprised that the varied foods and drinks available for purchase. Finding our seats was somewhat aggravating. When I purchased our tickets on-line, it provided the section row and seat numbers. But at this concert, the signage for sections was not very prominent. We had to ask several Symphony volunteers where our section was. We finally stumbled onto the section but where the hell was row 03310??? Turns out that row was more like a table number, with 4 chairs and no seat numbers. Unsure if we had reached the right seating area, we asked some very nice folks sitting at the table next to us if we were in the right location. Yes! we were. My wife and I were quite impressed with the seating that we got for $70 each. We were seated at a round table with a tablecloth on it. The folding chairs we sat on were very comfortable as well. This seating arrangement was very nice for watching a concert in style. Just wish we were hungry, I saw a stand selling charcuterie boards and that would have made the evening that more special for us. After the concert, we waited several minutes for the majority nof the crowd to leave the parking lot. Overall, we really like attending the Pacific Symphony's Outdoor Summer Concert at Great Park Live. Knowing what we learned that night, we can now better plan our next evening concert there. read more

Came for Pacific Symphony Summerfest concerts and it's very well done. You are allowed to bring in a sealed plastic bottled water and a gallon sized ziploc of food. They allow small clutches or up to a 12x13 clear bag. Our first visit on July 4th was super busy and parking took a while because there were roads closed off, however yesterday's Star Wars concert was really easy to get into with no wait at all for parking. It's very easy to get into the venue and there were ushers showing us to our seats. The VIP section and forward middle areas were all circular tables with chairs so you can eat and drink comfortably while watching the performance. The other seats are foldout style seats in rows with cup holders. The chairs in some areas had little platforms to put your snacks. There are vendors that sell all kinds of food and drink at premium prices but that's expected at these events. There are large screens to view different camera angles of the concert if you are further back and don't have a full clear view of the stage. The sound quality was excellent and the performance was spectacular. read more

This is our 2nd concert here at Great Park Live and we have enjoyed both. The ticket prices are decent (we paid about $70 each for the 90's concert) and parking is $20 for standard. The parking is not far at all from the entrance and we really appreciate that. It is also not that difficult getting out after the event, which in some places it can be a total nightmare! I liked this past event, it started earlier around 4 pm, so we had lots of light and it ended around 9:30 pm. Plenty of space in the general lawn area and this time they had picnic tables and umbrellas available. Plenty of porta potties, which are gross but you gotta deal with it! The VIP area was towards the stage and they had their own restrooms and bar. Not worth the extra price to us. You can't bring your own chairs, but several people had blankets laid out toward the front area, where the General and VIP are sectioned off. There are 2 staff people standing at the entrance of VIP so you had to show your bracelet or ticket to get in. We didn't have any food but I did order a couple of Rose wines and i'm scared to see how much they cost me hahaha! I am guessing they are about $25 a piece. The Rose was really good, dry and not very sweet. The girls at the bar serving are all so outgoing and they work fast to keep the line moving. Great venue, and the Great Park is beautiful just to visit anytime. read more

Great venue for an outdoor concert however trying to get out after the concert was ridiculous. Lots of grassy area to lay your blanket to listen to great music. Unfortunately the parking situation was the downside. How are they not prepared with thousands of cars leaving around the same time. We sat in our cars without moving not an inch for about 20 minutes and took us about an hour to get out of the parking lot. The people who were supposed to be directing traffic were useless. One plus side, with outdoor venues comes porta potties but these ones actually were clean and flushed. That's always a plus when there's cocktails for sale and that's what determines how much I was planning on drinking since we were gonna be there for hours. read more

The symphony sounds incredible in this venue. The sound mixing for film w/ symphony was outstanding. I imagine a concert sounds pretty good here! The tables with table cloths were a nice touch, but I'd still bring seat cushions. Not a single soul in charge parking, which was a disaster. It was wild that there was no one in the parking lot before or after the event. Space itself is a like a 2010 festival fever dream. Walking into the venue I felt like it should have had that TikTok recorder version of the titanic theme song playing. Haphazard shops thrown together. No directory to guide you or tell you what's around. Strange mix of seating. This place should let people picnic, but they want you to pay $6.50 for a soda and $17+ for a meal. Allowing families to picnic would at least make up for the inadequate screen they use to show films. Finally: hot, smelly portapoties in the year of our lord 2026? They really said "how can we do the least" when they dreamed up this place. read more

Well, here we are at the August 16: OC Summer Slam - Flo Rida & Soldja Boi, bow Wow, & Pretty Ricky are the headliners. Family members went there early and to make our eating choices we went to each and every food truck ! And took a picture, and asked some of the employees which ones they preferred! We picked out two food trucks and I did reviews on them. The area was clean, I have to admit that they had the cleanest porta potties, everything there was nicely done. There were picnic tables and umbrellas, the grassy area inside was perfectly watered. They had a first aid center clearly visible with a very nice lady working at it. And also an information booth. Parking at the great park was convenient and they were plenty of officers there, but everybody was polite, having fun, dancing, etc. read more

Great Park Live is located at the Irvine Great Park. I parked at Lot 1 and was able to walk there with ease. I came on a Sunday evening and they had something called "The Layover." There weren't a lot of people there, but it's family and pet friendly. There were bouncy houses for kids to play on and beer booths that serve drafted beer. No outside drinks and food allowed. The music made it feel festive. In the far end was a huge stage (unused but lite-up). I assume this is where concerts are held. The middle had plenty of tables and benches for sitting. Overall, there wasn't much to do there for the Layover, but it was nice visiting nonetheless. read more

Great Park Live is a great outdoor venue for outdoor concerts. Seating and audio was great, and parking was close so it wasn't too far of a walk. Though it wasn't very clear to see the singer/artist of a performance, it was nice to see they had a super clear big screen! That helped a lot. The only issue we had was getting in the wrong line outside at the entrance. They had a banner that said VIP and there was not a banner for General Admission or even Reserved Seating. People just had to randomly form a line. I think that could be fixed. Other than that, it was still a good outdoor concert experience. We were here for Christmas Throwdown! read more

I've been here now a few times for concerts. It gets mixed reviews, so I thought I'd put my two cents in. I honestly think it's a great place to just relax and watch a concert. Theres been a good variety of concerts to attend, and if you keep your expectations in check you'll actually really enjoy it. It's not made for big name bands etc, it's also a little more than just a concerts in the park. There's plenty of food options, and the parking is great. To me, this works just fine until the permanent amphitheater opens around 2027. There's a kids play area and tons of covered benches for eating and hanging out. Super family friendly. It's very clean, very safe, and excellent service by all employees of the place. All in all, if you check out the calendar and find something you like, give it a shot, it's definitely going to be a good time. read more

The first time I read Great Park Live's venue rules, my impression was more "maximum security facility" than "concert venue." We had our doubts, but we got tickets and a clear bag and hoped for the best. We were pleasantly surprised. Instead of TSA-level security, we were met with the casual festival ambiance we'd enjoyed at Irvine Meadows and Pacific Amphitheater. There was a good selection of beer, wine, specialty coffee, and food. Vendor and security employees were all courteous and helpful. The seating was all on a level lawn with attached tables between seats. So, not an amphitheater, but a still pleasant venue. read more

Reviewing two events: This is the new concert venue that's outdoors. Taylor Nation Band -- They were great! Lots of fun and entertaining. If you enjoy Taylor Swift songs, you'll enjoy this show. That part the band and there's singer, was very enjoyable! Different food and dessert vendors available. Various booths selling different things. Portable potties were relatively clean with washing stations. Parking was extremely organized and easy. However---I like children, don't get me wrong. What I don't like is when they scream sing in my ear. Not just mine, but basically, everyone in front of them. First couple of songs, ok cute-- I get your excitement, but the entire night these kids were scream singing and their moms did absolutely nothing about it. We're all here to enjoy too?! A lot of people in front of us left, probably due to the excessive screaming. Global Cultural Festival-- Extremely diverse event with vendors offering all types of food, drinks, and desserts. There were lots of booths from various cultural groups with fun activities for kids and adults. Hourly performances from different performers and art forms. My favorite was the Latin band and Caribbean beats right after. It was wonderful seeing a community full of diversity. We're all different, but similar at the same time. We all share a common interest and that's to have a good time and appreciate each other's differences along with the beautiful things each culture offers. read more

Over the summer I came to Great Park Live for free concerts in the park. One week we came to see the Wallen Nation tribute band and the following we came to see Jelly Soul/ Jimmy's Buffet. Wallen and Jimmy knocked it out of the park because it was such a fun event. The porta potties were the cleanest I've ever see any at a concert before. I bought my younger nieces and they enjoyed it too. The play area for the kids is a little janky and I think it could definitely be better with some effort but the food vendors are great and so are the park workers. I would absolutely recommend this event center for free concerts. I'm not sure how paid events are because I read the comments that they weren't great experiences, but hey! Attended Summer of Loud at Great Park Live this past Saturday and I'm still buzzing from the experience! The venue itself is a hidden gem in Orange County, open air, great acoustics, plenty of space to move around, and seriously good vibes all night long. Every spot had a great view, but walking around during the show made it feel like a festival with a touch of class. What really put this experience over the top? The Great Park Balloon Ride just steps away from the venue! Floating 400 feet above the park at sunset gave us an absolutely stunning view of the concert, Irvine's skyline, and the surrounding OC landscape. It was like a pre-show bonus that turned the whole evening into something magical. The staff was friendly, everything was organized, and getting in and out was a breeze compared to other venues. Pro tip: get there early to take the balloon ride before the show starts, it's the perfect way to kick things off. Can't wait to come back for the next event. Great Park Live is officially my new favorite venue in SoCal. read more

This is the second time I have attended a concert here. It's a pretty decent venue. The security guards were doing an okay job keeping people out of the isles. They missed all the people hopping the fencing to the pit area, whatever. There was a variety of food choices. The bathroom line moved at an okay pace, but they need more bathrooms for the amount of people they had. Acoustics were good too. The worst part was getting out of the parking lot. They need more exits. It's a major safety issue of you had to get out in an emergency. There were gates they could have opened to make traffic get out quicker. People in trucks were off roading over sidewalks to get out. If I had had my truck, I would have too. What a nightmare! read more

Saw the I Love the 90s show here last night. Pre purchased preferred parking the day before, and while the location and signage for preferred parking was hard to figure out, the parking experience made getting into and out of the venue was so easy and convenient. Parking rates were also very reasonable for Southern California. The venue was beautiful, had great facilities and was small and big enough to make our seats feel close without being overly expensive. Good selection of food trucks, food vendors and drink options. Porta potties were upgraded and clean with minimal to no lines and water refill stations were available. We were able to take a 16 oz water bottle in and I refilled at the water station. Great time out for a friend's birthday with throwback music. Would love to see another concert there! With park being in a residential area, the concert started at 415, ended at 845 and we were home by 930. My old butt appreciated that read more

This is a fantastic new concert venue! They offer free parking that is right next to the venue. Yes you can pay $20 to be two rows closer. This venue is unique because it has a giant area filled with food and games for the kids. It also has a lot of areas to truly enjoy the concert. It makes for a fun environment because it's such a massive space. Now the vip sections have their own pros and cons. Firstly all VIP, cabanas, and officers club seats have access to the front area near the stage. So the best views and plenty of place to dance without running into a ton of people. Downside to the cabanas and Officers Club is you are on the side. Meaning half the stage will be cutoff. So you need to exit your fancy seat to go into the main area to enjoy the concert. However by booking those areas, you have a private bathroom and bar area that are very well maintained. Overall this venue is a fantastic pop up venue and is a great addition to the Great Park! read more

Please do not waste your money on VIP Reserved or any of the other VIP packages. There was no staff managing the VIP section, which meant everyone had access to the reserved seats. It's disappointing that GPL markets these packages as a premium "experience" but does not actually deliver on that promise. What made the experience even more frustrating was the lack of support afterward. Attempts to provide feedback or request a refund were not handled in a helpful or supportive way. If you still want to attend the event, I'd honestly recommend just purchasing general admission. You'll have access to the same areas and overall experience for a much lower price. read more

When is it customary to scan your ticket THEN DO THE SECURITY CHECK & SEND YOU OUT TO YOUR CAR AFTER THE FACT? You have PRINTED signs with TAPED AND THEN HAND WRITTEN RULES OVER THEM. Due to my backpack not being a purse (it was smaller than the allowed size but was in the shape of a backpack instead of a "purse") I got sent to my car. Security stated they would stamp my hand and to just show the kids and come in the way I was let out. In doing so, some B in all black starts yelling at us that "she runs this" and she tells us where we can and cannot go. Complete chaos of incompetence and misguidance. From the get go, you ruin the vibe Great Live. So when we already stood in a line and the point of a stamp was to not have to go back into line, we then ended up in a line. They have body scanning security checkers and could search if necessary but their policies seem a bit excessive and uncalled for & they do not have a proper process for handling the people they send back when their signage is handwritten and ridiculous. The venue sound is so low, probably to maintain these temporary stages for the Irvine area and not establish a venue in the spot that pleases the neighborhood as well. They just need a venue to take the riches money somehow but can't seem to get it together.. So if you're reading this- here's a secret that pleases me because this place is the worst- after you pay and turn into the parking- hazards give you preferred parking. It's not much but they are already taking our money for parking in a lot that takes forever trying to get out due to no proper workers guiding after the venue closes & by creating another lesser venue. Now you have a grass field, no seating, and you can't even bring in a backpack without being hassled when someone walks in with a purse as big and full due to the defined shape and wear of the dang bag. The mixed reviews for this venue seem to come from when the venue first opened. They reference concerts with cover bands that were poorly organized and folks who don't have concert experience and can't follow the rules. We had a great experience seeing a concert here on 9/26/25. Staff were friendly and helpful to our party member with ADA needs. We brought a small blanket and found a comfy spot in the grass to watch the show. Food and drinks are not cheap but there are several options. Bathrooms were ok. Paying extra for premium/preferred parking was worth it. Looking forward to seeing another show here when the weather is good. read more

Save yourself the frustration and do not come here regardless of who is performing. Took almost an hour for us to leave the parking lot after a concert. It wasn't even a super huge artist, either. Extremely poor traffic direction and management - if there was even any. Very very confusing on how to exit the giant lot, no signs or attendees to help guide the way. Parking was easy....concert venue was great! I mean, it was all GA for my concert. Once it was over, that was the problem; we were in a dead stop for at least a half an hour to get out of the parking lot. Eventually we moved elsewhere and finally got home about an hour after the show (we live about 15 minutes away). Not okay. Irvine needs to figure this out because Five Point had it working so what can't they? Won't be back until they fix this.... read more

Saw the Summer of Loud concert here. I've seen several shows at Fivepoint and several shows before that at Irvine Meadows. Fivepoint was a downgrade from Meadows, but still decent. This new "venue" if you can call it that, is an absolute JOKE compared to Fivepoint. They should have just left it alone. First off, I purchased "preferred parking" directly from their website, which they RECOMMENDED to purchase. Upon arriving, we were led down a road with a bunch of cones blocking the exact lot that we paid for, and the attendants said it was FULL and we needed to get a refund, and park in Lot 3. We drive to Lot 3, and again it's a line of cars and cones blocking the road. The attendants there said it's FULL TOO and to go to Lot 4. We drive a full friggin MILE around the corner to Lot 4 and realize that we're way, way far from the venue. We can hear the music in the far distance. Along with dozens of other concertgoers, we walk at least 15-20 minutes through tennis courts, soccer fields, etc before finally reaching the venue. Upon arriving, it's close to 90 degrees and there is NO shade at all, except for some trees near the fence line. We purchase some food and go stand under the trees (the ONLY damn shade in the entire area), but the employees quickly come over and move everyone out, saying there are "gates" next to the trees and we need to keep the area clear. Absolute BS!! The stage is pretty nice, but the idiots set it up so you are FACING the sun while trying to watch the show. The first 2 bands we had the sun in our face the entire time and could hardly see the stage. The food area is right next to the porto-potties, which reek of sewage smell. So you are standing in line to get food/drinks while smelling sh** from everyone else. Lovely! The only good thing was the bands rocked, as usual, and the sound was great. But that's more on the sound crew than the piece of garbage venue that is Great Park Irvine. read more

Disco Fever at Great Park Live was fantastic! The Pacific Symphony Orchestra, led by The Principal Pops Conductor, Enrico Lopez -Yanez, was outstanding, and Enrico "strutting his stuff" had better moves than John Travolta! The seating was well organized , and the event staff were friendly . . . but not very knowledgeable, unfortunately. In fact, that is my only gripe, and is the reason I did not award a five star rating for this wonderful evening. Perhaps I am being unfair to the staff at that event and it wasn't really their responsibility because what put a dampener my enjoyment was that my friends and I had travelled by Lyft, and there were no clear instructions or directions for drivers as to a drop off or pick up point. That was bad enough on arrival, but at the end it was quite scary to be wandering about in the dark wearing disco gear after almost all the attendees had left in their cars trying to find the pick up point for Lyft - and no staff member could direct us! read more

My mom bought tickets for a concert here. She heard about it since she's a patient at City of Hope. After driving around in heavy traffic looking for parking (Lot 2 which the tickets were for) for over an hour, and after having a parking attendant smirk when we asked where the ADA area was (which is referenced in the literature), and getting zero help from the other parking people who said all the lots were full...we gave up. Venue might be great, but the signage, traffic, and online directions make it impossible to get to. What a waste of money and more importantly: time. And yes... arrived for the show over 2 hours early to avoid being rushed. City of Hope is incredible. But they need to be a lot more careful of what and with whom they chose to associate their name with. read more

I had such a great experience at GPL. A Family friendly venue. I wish I had remembered to take a blanket for the grass. Small clear bag for closed bottle drinks. Either way, there was a ton of drinking and eating options. What stood out to me was the friendly and efficient staff. One particularly stood out to me. Thanks to Maryann, one of your amazing staff members! She was incredibly helpful, sweet, and bubbly -- her positive energy really stood out. Attended a concert on July 5th, after being open a year at this new/temporary venue, you'd think they'd have things figured out. Prepaid for preferred parking in Lot 2 only to arrive and be told the lot was full. Redirected to park in a lot by Wild Rivers, a 10-minute walk is not exactly preferred nor was it the lot I prepaid for. Lastly, 3/4 of the way through the show 90% of the bathrooms were "out of order." Pretty difficult to service upwards of 5,000 people with 8 porta potties. If they can't manage a 5K person venue, how do they expect to manage the larger permanent venue. Get it together Irvine Company, total amateur hour. read more

This is a step down from Five Point, at least that one had levels, so if you were short, you could still see! It's such a step down, that you can't even get REAL artists and bands, just cover bands. We attended the Ludacris concert last night. The concert was amazing, however the venue needs to make some improvements, especially for sell out events. We paid for VIP seats which included a VIP entrance, VIP parking, a VIP bar. Parking was great, close to the venue. We arrived early & it took almost 45 minutes to get into the venue, it was very disorganized. We kept being told to go to the right side then the left side, meanwhile people were cutting in front of us. We paid for VIP seats which were folding chairs on the grass. The chairs were soaking wet. We had to go to the bar & get napkins to wipe our seats down. It took an hour at the bar to get a drink. The lounge area had a great vibe but maybe more bars/bartenders would have been better. Not sure if I would attend a big event such as a concert here again. read more
