Came to Ivan's House for a friend's birthday celebration after dinner, and what a fun night! There were 14 of us, and the live band absolutely stole the show. They were fantastic, playing hit after hit, and it seemed like everyone in the venue made their way to the dance floor at some point. The energy was contagious, and the crowd was clearly having a great time. I'll admit, our large group definitely helped fill the place, but for a live music venue in Laguna Beach, it's absolutely worth checking out at least once. The funniest part was that as soon as I walked in, I had the strongest feeling I'd been there before. Then I saw the birds downstairs, and it instantly clicked which was the memorable detail that brought it all back! We were able to grab a table, sip on a few glasses of wine, and enjoy the music all evening. It was the perfect setting for a night of live entertainment, dancing, and good company. I'm not sure what the cover charge is since my friend generously took care of it for our group, but the experience was well worth it. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the Laguna Beach area. As for parking, we were able to find street parking without too much trouble. We ventured this way down the coast for live music good vibes and great food . I had an exceptional time while visiting Ivans house. Conveniently located on the second floor of Mozambique is this lively music entertainment bar. As a person with disabilities and use of mobility aides I called ahead and spoke with a Roberto to ask questions about reasonable accommodations. *Please note as a disabled person it is expected to pay more than the regular general admission price to guarantee a table or else the bar and club itself is not handicap friendly as every table is high top* the show we came for was $25 per person to guarantee a table for myself and my plus one. Having to pay extra to guarantee reasonable accommodations for a disabled person I my opinion is not fair and didnt start is off on a positive note because I cannot fix the fact I am disabled. When we arrived it had not been communicated to the hostess upfront to have an ada friendly table to accommodate us. When purchasing online unable to make a special request that is why I called ahead. They were able to make a makeshift table for us on the dance floor next to the sound tech booth but it seemed to be a rushed inconvenience for them to accommodate us. We were great until music started and everyone started dancing and hanging drinks up on our chairs or on the ledge by us. Constantly crowding around us even though there was plenty of bar space. As a person with disabilities it felt like being at the worst table at a wedding near the garbage due to everyone crowding and lingering above us as drinks and belongings were place on the ledge. Had we been seated somewhere out of the way would have been a positive experience through and through but at last its not something people think of . There is an elevator to get up to each level of the establishment which is amazing and the restroom itself is ada friendly and large enough for days I would need my wheelchair. This day I took my cane. The shining star however was the food. My peri peri chicken wings were full of flavor , sauced to perfection, finger licking good amd left a lasting impression on me. Presentation and qualoty surpassed my expectations. The bbq flatbread , a reccomendstion from our server was devoured in minutes. So delicious and a perfect personal pizza size. I opted for a loaded baked potatoes to accompany my cocktail which was delicious and filling. My cocktail was posh crisp and refreshing for a lavender spritz. My mother's non alcoholic liberation was a bit fizzy for her taste but still delicious with plenty of fresh ingredients. Customer service inside ivans with the wait staff was phenomenal. They did check on us despite the crowding. Although there was not much to be done with giving us relief from the crowding they were polite. Music quality is phenomenal. Being from the south bay I feel this is a new and better version of the light house Cafe. Band was absolutely fun. Parking is simple either streetside or valet. There were about 3 handicap spaces however it is valet only which does have a separate cost. My overall verdict although ada friendly its not fully accommodating with higher pricing for people like me so please keep this in mind it'll cost you more for the added comfort and enjoyment and table placement is not the best for us. However the place was so much fun and id consider coming again just ill have to suffer with bringing my wheelchair/ walker for a place to guarantee sitting without a table to avoid being trampled over the dancing people or having to pay more for a guarantee place to sit. read more

Went here to see Howie Day concert and aid $25 extra for reserve table seating and man was it worth it! Place is a small cozy classy nice venue. Surprised that Howie Day played there given how small the venue is. Maybe 200 people there max. Sound was excellent and the food from the connected restaurant was solid and reasonably priced. Wife had mixed grill which had an excellent small fillet, shrimp, chicken sauté, sausage and mashed potatoes. I had the sky burger which was good but could have used lettuce and a pickle. Came with decent fries. The service was excellent. Tipped 50% to Mario as he was on top of everything. Had Portuguese bread pudding and coffee for dessert and good string coffee which kept me up all night! I will be looking for any reason to come back here for a show. I got street parking very close but they also have valet. Overall 5 stars for sure. read more

THIS VENUE IS THE WORST! (for a concert) I went for a Grateful Dead cover band. Went to come in after set break and the lady stopped us saying she needed the name associated with our tickets to prove we have been in (we had wrist bands on!) If anyone is from the dead scene you know about miracles. So basically someone gave me a ticket for free outside of the show and I didn't know their name. They said because I didn't pay for the ticket the band is losing money and Im taking away from the money the band is making! Ok the ticket was already bought?! I tried to argue the logic side of well the band did get the money for the ticket but it wasn't going anywhere. Then she tried to say I snuck in the night before ( I definitely DID NOT i went to her to get my ticket checked and she didn't remember). They said the only way we can get in was if we paid 30 dollars! We left. Then they talked bad about me as I walked out. So unprofessional and illogical, weird af. Would not recommend! Also it's insanely small and there were other rude staff that messed with my friend the night before. Very weird power trip people. read more
