Nice small standing room only. Went here for disco night...and it was fun. Well managed from outside security & to inside. Plenty of outdoor seating area (benches) and bars throughout the venue. VIP parking right infront or their regular parking lot is across the street about 5-7mins walk. Staff are nice and friendly overall. Really enjoy this place & felt safe.

I've been to 4 shows in the Constellation room now and I'm kind of figuring that this is a space for many things, but one of them being a place to start your tour and work out all the kinks. The Constellation Room is located inside of the Observatory concert venue. It's a smaller room with a medium sized stage and a more intimate setting. If it's packed in there, I feel like you still have room to breathe a bit and can exit out the way you entered and I believe it's just a curtain on the west wall of the venue so it should feel less trapped. Parking varies. I've been here and tried to park for free in front and even showed up after the opener and someone in the parking lot was charging $10. I recently showed up during the first song of the headliner and got free V.I.P parking in front. Depends on the time you arrive and if they have a parking attendant at that time. Of the 4 shows I've been to, only one had projections and a little fancier set-up, but basically it's the band or artist and it's a stripped down performance. I think because it's a smaller venue and not Los Angeles, the artist performance can either be like another rehearsal with band members looking at each other and mouthing stuff OR it can be a vibe because it seems to be less pressure and the artist/band can go full out OR it can be intimidating because you're in a small room with your audience in close quarters and can hear a pin drop if the audience is quiet. Haven't seen a show I've hated here and would highly recommend it, especially if it's a band or artist that's just starting out.

$15 for parking! We double dated for the Kiffness Vote for Pets tour yesterday 6/5/25 and it was horrible! We love the Kiffness but this venue is garbage. It was STANDING ROOM ONLY with way too many people crammed in your personal space. This tiny room they call the Constellation room reeked of sweat and was suffocating with no ventilation. For a room so tiny, the music/sound level was sickeningly deafening and deafeningly sickening. My husband and I, and the couple we double dated with had to leave mid show because our backs were killing us! How disappointing! We were looking so forward to this event. P. S. Even a day after, we're still struggling with back pains (all of us) and back spasms from standing for an hour! Terrible! Avoid this place at all costs. We will never return.

    Lyn Lapid concert!

We came here for the Lyn Lapid concert here in Santa Ana. The concert was great, but the venue was a bit packed with the show being sold out and all. People didn't really fit inside the whole room, including us. We were basically clinging to the curtain that separated the room from the rest of the establishment. The maximum capacity for the room should be adjusted, if it hasn't been already. The event should have been more organized; there was another show going on and I believe that a few people from the other audience poured into Lyn's audience when their show had ended. It was still a good concert experience, made good by the performance that Lyn put on for her fans, but the venue could have been organized better.

Visited this venue for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised, especially with the low rating. I'd been to the Observatory once before, which is also cool, while this is a much smaller venue, located between the Observatory concert hall and the restaurant. This is a nice, intimate space with great acoustics, which allows you to be up close and personal with the artists. I had the pleasure of seeing William Ryan Key here, formerly of Yellowcard, my all-time favorite band. While waiting for the show, we also had some drinks and a build-your-own poutine at the restaurant, which was pretty good! I would definitely come back here again for another show.

First time seeing a show at the Constellation Room on January 13, 2023. Saw Tunnel Vision. What a great venue. Small room so it had a nightclub feel. There is even a bar in the room so you don't have to leave the show to grab a drink. Ample bars in the common areas of the venue too. Looking forward to seeing more shows here. @tunnelvisionsc

spacious with good air conditioning, just pay the $10 fee for parking...it's about a 3 minute walk from the building but it's worth it.

Ask the Community - Constellation Room

Are there ADA accomodations in the Constellation room?

I have been inside the Constellation Room at least 4x already. I did not see any form of seating in the general admission area (standing room only). They do not have tables either, but I have seen people who use a wheelchair for mobility and they…

What time does the restaurant open?

It changes depending on how popular the show is. Usually 2 hours before the doors to the venue opens

Is there an age limit ? 18 and over?

It depends on the concert. Look on the website to see the age limit.

What we love about this place is they have happy hour everyday from open to I believe 7, you can't beat that! The food and drinks: we got a tamarindo margarita and we liked it a lot. Good flavor although it could have used a bit more alcohol. For tapas we got: croquetas de queso y jamon (we loved them, they were probably our favorite), calamari (it was so good!), empanadas (my boyfriend said they were good), short rib tacos (they were okay but not the greatest), patatas bravas (only thing I wasn't a fan of). The problem was it was so loud that we could not enjoy our meal, which brings me to the conclusion that that this is a nightclub and not so much a restaurant. It is a shame because the food is really good. We tried to sit outside around the back of the bar. They have speakers mounted above each table and the house band is loud. Why not hire one person playing Spanish guitar? A little Andre Segovia? If they did, those tables would fill up with happy diners. The chef is really talented.

These were all the headliners but it was amazing to see Mike Love, Hirie, The Expendables, Skip Marley and Niko Rubio all as openers. The sound has been great for the shows we've seen. Pacific Amp is like a baby Hollywood Bowl to me although the sound is better at the Bowl, acoustically. Concessions are decent, drinks are pricey. Kettle corn is $15 for a big bag. Not cheap. Staff has always been friendly & helpful. I did notice an increased presence by OC Sheriffs this recent Summer, even with K-9s in tow inside the amphitheatre. That was a first. All the shows we've seen have been during the OC Fair season so just know that your concert ticker allows you into the fair as well. Good times, good tunes, people having a good time... Cant ask for much more. Parking was impossible this time around. We had to park across the street in the pay lots by city hall & CMPD buildings. Made for an even longer walk. We survived.

They have bar area on each floor with a few snacks options. I didn't get anything but expect theater pricing - on the high side. Workers here are very friendly and willing to help answer any questions you may have. The theater itself is very modern and nice inside. We sat far back but had no problem seeing or hearing the show. The acoustics were very good. Only issue for us was getting out - as there seemed to be only one area to get out and it would bottleneck after the show. But other than that, we had a great experience watching a musical here.

My problem is with the service here. I came here on Friday, August 21st. The traffic attendants directed us to walk one way in order to get to the theater. My mom and I then went that one way. When we got to the entrance of the theater, before the security check, one of the female valet/parking/rideshare directors berated both me and my mom saying we couldn't come this way. My mom apologized and she continued to yell at us. We were going through security and more people were going through that same way and nothing was said to them. It put a bad taste in our mouth. Then, when we entered the theater, we went to the merchandise booth, The people working the booth mentioned that there would be more shirts upstairs, so upstairs we went. We went directly upstairs, and we asked the attendants upstairs if there was more merchandise somewhere in the theater. They looked at us like we were stupid and said it's only downstairs, until one of them finally said there might be some more in the orchestra floor. Our saving grace was the worker at the merchandise booth up there. She was super sweet! It really put a bad taste in both my mom and my mouth. I really love this theater, way more than Pantages, but with workers like that, it just put a dulled the whole experience. The best part about the day spent here was the spectacular performance of Phantom of the Opera.
