This year we got the usual great lineup but instead of the DIY style show in a parking lot, Professor Vic moved it to the Cathedral. Located right off Garey, The Cathedral is tough to miss. There's plenty of street parking on Center St and there's also a small parking lot across the street. This used to be a YMCA but it looks like an old church with dark wood flooring, high ceilings and stained glass windows. A very cool venue. How did it sound? Loud. Extremely loud. They also had a huge video board which gave each band a little extra hot sauce. There were a couple of bars in the back and you could also order food. It's air conditioned in there but between the heat (100+ outside at the time) and the amount of bodies inside, it was at least bearable. Mosh for Youth was great as always and while I loved the DIY ethos in the past this felt like a leap forward. The sound, look and venue made this feel big time. I hope future MFY shows take place here...until they maybe outgrow this place too, which would mean more scholarships for the kids. Highly recommended!

The room leant an intimate atmosphere, with great views of the stage. We started with the Coconut shrimp which was perfectly done, crunchy but only had a smidge of dipping sauce on the plate. The Beet and Strawberry salads were festooned with spring mix, nuts, cheese and berries with tasty dressing. The Grilled Salmon and Lasagna entrées portions were generous, arrived hot and tasted delicious! The Long Island and Mango Margaritas were very good but the drinks arrived late with the entrées. We ordered the Irishman for dessert which was a great complement to an equisite dinner. Other than the drinks arriving late, the service was very attentive and we left a generous tip! The Zeppelin Revisited band was fantastic with enthusiastic applause from the audience! I am so glad we made the trip to experience this venue and were very pleased with the evening out! Be sure to check the schedule and hear your favotite music, in an intimate room with a excellent dinner, you will not be disappointed!

This place is one of them in my opinion. One thing going for Jojo's is it hosts some good acts, and live music is pretty scarce in Tustin. We went to see Pretzel Logic, a really terrific Steely Dan tribute band that never disappoints. The views of the stage are good even when seated in the back of the room. The lighting and sound are good, too. However, the food was just so so, Jojo. * The calamari appetizer was generously portioned, but we've had a lot better elsewhere. * The Ribeye steak I ordered was the fattiest piece of meat I've ever been served. I left half of it uneaten. I'm surprised the cook who prepared it had the gall to plate it. The menu is an abbreviated version of the full menu of 17th Street grill. So why not a two star rating? The service was very good in a challenging environment. Cheers!

Opened on time, with quick security screening. There was a merch section and restrooms (spotless) located in the lobby. We had general seating tickets, so we had the freedom to choose where we sat. And what choices there were! The seating is varied and allows for comfortable seating for everyone. Whether you're in a large group, want a cozy high top for two, a counter seat to chat bar style with others, or want up close and personal floor access, there's a spot for you. There's even balcony seating! The sound system was clear and well balanced. My friend mentioned he would've liked it a little louder. Indeed, it was a "comfortable" volume. Our waitress was quick and friendly. She was fair, in that she told us up front they charge for water (I think it was 6 bucks). She said sometimes customers get upset about that. Our drinks were good and the price was about what we'd expect at a venue. We didn't order food, but the plates traveling by us had appealing presentation and smelled delicious! My first time here, but I'll certainly jump at the chance to come back!
