The food is okay. I like the food at China Palace a bit more since they have some authentic dishes.

My GARLIC CHICKEN combination was excellent. Mistakenly thought I had taken a photo of the meal before eating it. Nice portions, proportions, color, presentation. Very tasty and enjoyed eating it all up. The included eggroll has more flavor than a typical one. Very pleased with this kind of stumble upon experience. The hostess is pleasant and attentive. This is some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I thought I just had bad luck the last time I…read moreordered so I gave them another try. That was a mistake. The egg rolls were mushy on the outside and the pork inside wasn't fresh... it hadn't expired... it just wasn't fresh. Maybe cooked this morning or even yesterday. The General Tso Chicken was made with low quality chicken. My wife actually spit it out it had so much chewy gristle. The sauce (which was supposed to be spicy had no bite. The broccoli wasn't lightly blanched... it was raw. The pork fried rice had no pork, didn't look fried, had a few undercooked frozen vegetables, and no egg. The pork lomein was the best single item... but I'd still give it a 2 out of 10. If the food was good I can forgive the esthetic of a mostly takeout restaurant... but given the horrible food the atmosphere was the icing on the cake. It's been years since Covid had us putting plastic barriers between us. Three unrelated items for sell. There is a candy vending machine (maybe to save people from purchasing dessert?). There is no culturally aligned Chinese music. And not surprisingly, there is no smell of food being cooked to order. I'm thankful for the pleasant weather because something tells me the HVAC wouldn't be on. Avoid this restaurant. I'll be driving to Greensboro next time I want some average Chinese food over this disgusting joke. I honestly have no idea how their Yelp average is 3 Stars. I'm recommending to Chef Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares!

Best we've had yet in the Triad area by a long shot. First off, the online ordering process is super easy, and the estimated time for pick up was spot on. Highly recommend ordering online beforehand. The place was slammed, packed in like sardines on a Saturday evening. Everyone waiting for orders, and even if you don't order prior, the wait would still be worth it. This place was a well oiled machine, everyone knowing exactly what to do and how to pump out stellar authentic Chinese food quickly and efficiently. Flavorful dishes, authentic spices and sauces, juicy meat, perfectly cooked noodles and rice...you name it, this place does it right. Crispy scallion chicken is the bomb! Each and every other dish we had was top notch, including the pork egg foo young, chicken lo mein, house special fried rice (chicken pork and shrimp). And can't leave out the perfectly fried pork egg rolls...taste overload. Can't wait to come back and try more of this amazing and truly authentic Chinese joint.

Enter China Two, with their convenient open on Monday hours! Online ordering was very easy, with a clear menu and simple process. I placed my order for pickup and headed that way. There isn't much to the store, with only a few tables inside. This is clearly a place focused on take out, and that's okay. Pick up was just as easy as ordering. The important bit: the food is great. We had the hunan roast pork and vegetable lo mein, and both servings were generous in quantity. The flavor and quality of ingredients was very good. The egg rolls were crispy and large, and based on my experience working in a Chinese restaurant years ago, I suspect their egg rolls are made in house. The menu has a great mix of familiar Chinese dishes alongside more traditional regional specialties, and it's clear the restaurant isn't afraid to lean into bold, spicy flavors. The ambiance is cozy. It looks like they turned an old Biscuitville into the dining space, which is quite charming. We ordered quite a few dishes, including the steamed soup dumplings, ox tongue and tripe with chili sauce, Singapore mei fun, intestine with chili pepper, mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and the intestine noodle. Everything was well prepared, but the standout was how the restaurant balances more "American Chinese" flavors while also staying true to some more traditional chinese flavors as well. The chili-forward dishes had plenty of heat without overpowering the other flavors, and each dish had its own distinct character. The ox tongue and tripe appetizer and the intestine dishes were great options if you're looking to try something a little more traditional. The portions were generous, making it a great place to order several dishes and share with the table. If you're used to American Chinese food, this menu offers a chance to branch out and try something different while still having plenty of familiar options available. If there is a dish I would not order again, it would probably be the soup dumplings. They tasted just like the store bought frozen variety that you can steam at home. Nonetheless, New Sichuan Restaurant is well worth a visit if you're desiring flavors that somewhat lean towards more traditional Sichuan cooking.
