At check out, another lady was just as courteous and speedy in finishing off our transaction. Food essentially tasted really good but the fried rice was a little bit on the drier side. Nothing really to complain about aside from that. The entire party ate everything up and our bellies were full. Not sure why the rating here are so low, I found my first visit to be quite enjoyable. I placed an online order with Panda after a long work day. There werent too many people in the restaurant when I arrived to pick up my order but they were diligently working on my order as well as a few others. The counter attendant checked on my order and informed me it would be a few more minutes before it was completed. I waited while they prepared our meal and assisted the long line if guests that had assembled since I had arrived. I'm not sure why the two star reviews. The people here are so nice and the food is cooked well and they have a decent frequent flyer rewards program, with the app you can download and join. For families this is very beneficial and you can place your orders online in a pinch. The honey walnut shrimp is a favorite! They also offer a ten percent military discount, "hero's discount." Personally, I wouldn't sit and eat here unless I was on a lunch break. It's just kind of a get in get out kinda place and there's a code in the bathroom door. I think it's worth it to sign up for the app because overtime is does add up and if you have a family you should consider it. Ate here a few days ago, got chow mein & orange chicken & got the most insane awful food poisoning

Panda Express really used to be my go-to for quick Chinese food -- the portions were big and the service speedy. Not so much now. I was in line for 19 minutes from the time I entered the doors to the time I paid -- and that's too long! The manager was the only one filling orders which would be okay if she weren't also filling all the online orders. She was completing two online tickets for every one in person customer. The food was not fresh -- I only saw the Orange Chicken and the mixed vegetables filled while I was in line. By the time it was my turn to order the chow mein was about 1:1 noodles and veggies ... ew. The fried rice was mostly rice with no egg to be found and veggies that I could have counted. I ordered Sweet Fire Chicken as the bowl was the fullest (no bejing beef, no sesame chicken, soggy looking honey walnut shrimp), and the Teriyaki Chicken which was VERY fatty. Sonora location seems to be going downhill in the last 6 mos at least. Yesterday we got the family deal and amount of food was fine, but the only 2 things I had were not good. Horrible customer service! The epitome of a corporate business treating the customer like a number. That included most importantly and most disappointingly the manager there. I just wanted an extra small cup for water, but bcs I only ordered a big plate with an extra side one extra small paper cup was wayyyyyyyyy too much to handle! Long wait time, but they gave us extra food as a result of being out of everything when we arrived. Food tasted good as usual. This time the drinks were very off. I've never tasted a worse drink. Good is the walnut shrimp, @ times too many walnuts, I could specify no walnuts which is what I should do. Prices have gone up so I do not order as often as I used to. Shrimp is breaded and I do not normally eat breading or consume the ingredients that the breading is made of. I could order no breading & pay the extra charge, or make it @home. This location is terrible. My parents went to this location to order some Chinese food and had a terrible experience. They will not let you order in the restaurant. You have to phone in your order. So my mom did that and then saw an elderly woman trying to order, who did not know how to call In her order. My mom begged the manager to just let her order inside and they said no. Panda Express has saved my husband on many an occasion these past couple of weeks. After a busy day of errands in the area - Panda Express is always a sure thing for a quick, affordable, tasty, and clean eating experience in the area. There is rarely a line here and the staff are always helpful and polite. It's almost become a tradition popping in here on our Walmart trips - and getting an array of dishes. It's usually only my husband who eats here, but I always enjoy the mellow interior, the well kept bathrooms, and the home improvement shows - which are usually broadcast on their TV. The gal at the register made a mistake ringing up my order which she realized on her own and informed me that she mistakenly over charged me. She apologized and asked the manager to correct it. The manager was very disparaging to the employee to the point that I was uncomfortable and the employee was visibly upset. Her behavior was unacceptable especially in front of customers! It was embarrassing and unprofessional. I believe the employee's name was Evelyn and she could not have been sweeter and more professional. She was very honest and I appreciate that. So after many years, I returned to Panda Express, since my friend really wanted to go. I expected things would cost more, but the worst part was how much even smaller the portions have become. The lady placed one chicken teriyaki "fillet" on the counter and sliced it up, and then put one of the slices BACK to their main bowl. (In the past they sliced a fillet, and then added another slice or two of the next one.) The fried rice was decent, but the chow mein was gummy, and tepid.
